The timeline was tight and the crew was amazing about finishing within that time, including some extra issues that popped up. Our second job with them was almost a complete gutting of our home that had to be done in phases...Todd didn't even blink when he said he could manage it. Jylene helped us decide how to move walls, and Todd somehow figured out how to make the changes visually interesting, while keeping the integrity of our vision. Every sub that STS is associated with has been phenomenal in being available, flexible, and reasonably priced. We will certainly use STS again in the future!

Jylene (design) and Todd (construction) were awesome people and their entire team was professional, experienced, and kind. The subs they used were top notch (particularly the electricians and floor levelers). They weren't the cheapest (or most expensive) bid we got but they absolutely delivered! The end result was gorgeous and luxurious. Thank you guys for such an awesome experience!

In addition, some drywall in the ceiling below the toilet also needed to be patched and painted. I was overwhelmed with doing this project myself, mostly because I didn't want to mess up the floor and have the toilet rock back and forth. I reached out to JPH and I'm so glad I did. Everyone showed up in masks, were professional, and did a fantastic and fast job. They got this small project done in a day, and the price was extremely reasonable, especially given the quality of the work done. After this experience, I also reached out to JPH for a second project. Last week, they installed a whole home soft water softening system I bought from Home Depot. This job was also done in a day, and I'm very happy with the job. There was a small leak at one of the connections, but they came promptly to come patch that up. Overall, I'm glad to have found JPH--they're the general contractor who will be receiving business from me for years to come.

Getting ready to sell my home for sale and have a plethora of work prior to listing. One aspect of…read morethe renovations I needed was carpentry work done on an overhanging patio on the exterior of the home. There was a ton of rotting wood and I needed it completely fixed to not only look great before getting an exterior paint job, but also to PASS INSPECTION. I have gone through extensive research when picking contractors.. maybe 7-8 quotes for each job, including everything to flooring to counters to Paint. When it came to carpentry I was surprised on how hard it was to find consistent quotes. My job was for the most part very vague, Please fix select boards with wood rot on a giantic overhanging patio so that it will look good for paint and also pass inspection. Most people didn't know where to even start it was so bad. Others told me not to waist my time and just completely remove the structure as it will save me money. Others came in as a low bid and seemed optimistic, but when time came for work they had no license. No bueno. Moises on the other hand was what I was looking for. Someone competent who actually understood how to handle the job and articulated it to me properly. Moises actually stuck to his original timeline, and involved me in decision making as the project progressed. On the final day after project was completed, I was surprised to see that he actually replaced/repaired more of the work than I originally thought needed. It was refreshing to work with a contractor who DIDNT try to cut corners. He also cleaned up on both days after his work really well. Moises is defiantly a good contractor, supplies all proof of license/insurance and cares about quality. Will refer to friends/famliy.

I contacted West Coast Building and Design, and we brainstormed together. One year later, we have transformed the space into a beautifully manicured one-bedroom ADU that looks like it should be in a Pottery Barn advertisement. With vaulted ceilings, polished bathroom tile, and sleek matching cabinets and countertops in the kitchen and bath, I almost want to move in to the space myself and rent out my main home instead. Of course with any project of this magnitude, there were hiccups and challenges. Trenching in the utilities was one of several major hurdles. But Rene and his team were always responsive, solution-oriented, and willing to soldier on. I made various changes to the design plans along the way, but these were always accommodated. Special shoutouts to Kevin, Rigo & AJ, as well! You guys went above and beyond, and I'm forever grateful to all of you. I think the before and after photos speak for themselves!

That level of organization immediately gave me confidence. During my consultation, Bar exceeded my expectations. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and clearly has extensive experience in remodeling. I especially appreciated his straightforward, honest approach. Rather than simply agreeing with every idea I had, he took the time to explain the pros and cons of different renovation options and offered thoughtful recommendations based on both function and long-term value. What really stood out was that he identified several important considerations that none of the other contractors I met with had even mentioned. His expertise was evident throughout the entire appointment, and I left feeling much more informed about my project. If budget weren't a factor, I would have hired D&L Builders on the spot. Unfortunately, I have several home projects underway and need to stay within my overall budget. Even so, I highly recommend meeting with Bar if you're looking for an experienced contractor who values honesty, quality, and educating his clients rather than simply trying to make a sale.

Steve was our project manager for the entire project, which took 3-4 weeks. We are so incredibly pleased with the result, and just as happy with the service and professionalism we received from Steve and his team. Steve managed every aspect of this complex project flawlessly, stopped by frequently to check progress and QC each phase of work, and was consistently responsive and professional. He took my calls on nights and weekends, and I always felt taken care of and valued as an important customer--such a rare occurrence these days. The craftsmanship was flawless too. I am a detail-oriented person and tend to demand perfection, and Forever Builders exceeded my expectations. As a bonus, they also installed a floating vanity for me in a secondary bathroom, as a complimentary part of the project. Since then, I have also asked Steve and Forever Builders to patch up a huge portion of ceiling drywall at my mom's house that was screwed up by another company, and they did an amazing job with that as well. Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.
