But they have traded the macaroni salad for french fries and still, the french fries alone are a double order! But the fish itself is the silver bullet in this dish, it truly is extraordinary. I had called in my order ahead of time for takeout and it didn't take more than 2 minutes to be served. I gave them my name and they went inside to get the 5 pieces of chicken and large Mountain Dew I'd ordered. It was around $22 plus a tip which in this economy isn't half bad! The chicken is plenty moist and thick, the batter lends its own flavor and texture, and once you add a little salt to the chicken it's a wonderful case of beauty in simplicity! I also love how you can choose all white cutlets, all dark cutlets, or a mix of the two (I always pick this option.) Even though I love the thigh strips, I do feel the need to break them up with the breast meat, it would be too much otherwise. Their house made tartar is top of the line as well! This is a place that's seen a lot of ownership changes, so congratulations to the current family for making their own mark on this iconic place, while also respecting the legacy :). I will be back!

I ordered the crab Rangoon, crispy chicken Thai basil, and a Thai Iced coffee. The server recommended the crab Rangoon when I asked her which she would choose between the shrimp rolls, spicy crispy chicken wings, or the crab Rangoon. They were solid, nothing crazy, but good. The crispy chicken Thai basil was decent as well; again nothing over the top, but the right portion with some heart shaped rice to go with it. In my opinion, it could use a little more spice. I went with the medium, but it was definitely not spicy at all, so I requested the spice tray to fix that. The Thai iced coffee was exactly what I would want it to taste like. Yes, I would recommend this place. Keep the party smaller. I'll have to try another dish on my next trip out here.
