The first red flag should've been when I tried to call 3 times to place the order initially, and each time was told the catering team wasn't available. I decided to go in person and speak to the head of catering to place the order. The catering manager, Lucy, was nice and helped me decide what to order for the number of people we were expecting. I was planning to pick the order up the night before, but she encouraged me to instead do delivery the morning of to ensure it was as fresh as possible and "make the day easier for myself". if only I had listened to my gut and done pick up. the delivery was a disaster. Lucy assured me it was no problem for to deliver the order at 1030am at the location of the memorial. I was very clear when I ordered that we needed the food to arrive before the guests started arriving at 11am. I confirmed the date, time, and location printed on my receipt when I prepaid for the entire order a week in advance. Another red flag is that there was no communication the couple of days before, but I was so busy coordinating the other components I didn't worry - since I placed the order directly with the catering manager I was sure it would all be fine. But the day of the memorial, 1030am rolls around, and there no food in sight. Then 1045am, then 11am, and still nothing - guests are arriving and there is no food... we called in a panic and spent 30 minutes on hold with the least enthusiastic employee, claiming there was no order in the system, even though the catering manager herself guaranteed the delivery time and location a week prior. Not only was the order delivered over an hour late, in the middle of the service, it was wrong/missing half of the food. Furthermore, they provided serve-ware for approximately 20 people when it was a 85 person order. I ended up having to throw away a large portion of the salads because there simply were not utensils or plates to eat them with. They brought the bread for the "deluxe sandwich platters" literally in a giant plastic bag that they just dumped on table. It felt like a complete joke. Bottom line, the entire experience left our guests hungry, and me even more upset on one of the hardest days of my life. Since then, no one has called or emailed me to follow up apologize after the event. I have been trying to get a well deserved refund and there is just zero accountability from any of the staff there. never, ever, ever order catering from here.
