It was (apparently) a very busy night for dining establishments along Route 20 from Cazenovia to Morrisville. After striking out at our first two choices for dinner, I remembered there was a restaurant in Bouckville that I had driven by dozens of times. After a quick phone call to confirm that they were serving dinner, our group of 8 made the drive to the Landmark. Entering the Landmark, I might as well have just tied up my horses outside as I was instantly transported to the 19th century. The walls are like a museum, featuring artwork, documents, and other tidbits related to the history of the hotel and the town. Our server was extremely friendly and took time to talk to us about the restaurant and hotel before announcing the nights specials. We ended up trying the stuffed mushrooms (great) and the artichoke/crab dip (good). Two of us had clam chowder which was some of the best I've had. Entrees were perfectly portioned and left just enough room to order dessert. Between the 8 of us, we tried the NY strip steak, grilled salmon, baked haddock, shrimp linguini, and the chicken schnitzel. They offer a small plate menu and a more expensive entree menu. Burgers are available if you are looking for something a little easier. We tried several desserts, and none of us left disappointed. The Landmark is a throwback to a different time and will charm you with a classy decor, excellent service, and great food. Do not make the mistake I had for so long and drive past it while you are on Route 20. It is more than worth the stop (especially for antique hounds).

Lovely, comfortable overnight accommodations. Tasty supper. Very reasonable price for everything. Just what these weary travelers needed!

My husband and I wanted to get breakfast in town before heading back to the Poconos! Looking for suggestions online we chose The Corner Diner Too as the feedback regarding service and reviews was very positive! Owner and staff take a lot of pride in their business! Make everyone feel welcome and have a great sense of humor! If you're visiting the Verona or surrounding area would highly recommend! The ceiling tiles were out of place and each wall was a different color. No one greeted us at the door for a few minutes. Once finally sat, the lady asked us the general questions. There was no " hi how are you ". She seemed like she just hated everything about her job. Once we got our order taken, we were able to give a look around. Floors were disgusting and tables sticky. The food was undercooked and had no taste whatsoever. The music blasting from the kitchen was very distracting. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it was a mom and pop location...we will not be back.

Since the parking lot is also used for the golf course, the lot was jammed and we needed to wait a few minutes for someone to leave. The menu was pretty good, but I didn't see anything that jumped out and grabbed me. Our wait staff suggested the Shrimp Po' Boy or Crab Cake Sandwich. I chose the Crab Cake, which was good, but maybe not great. The spicy fries were good. She did suggest it would be a littler more filling than the Shrimp Po' Boy. Daughter had a cheeseburger and fries, which appeared to be just like any other burger and fries. Great location and view were the best attributes for us that night, but we didn't get to try the dinner menu or drinks.

Seating affords a nice view of the course, so we were able to watch them teeing off, with a view of the University in the background. Good wine and draft beer list. Deputy Yelper raved about the Santa Fe chicken ("would order it again in a heart beat"). The veggie burger (black bean) was nicely dressed with aioli, LTO. Not too dry, which is often a problem with these things. Definitely should be on your list if looking for a good meal in Hamilton.
