Exterior of Copper Cricket, Hamilton, NY.

We were delighted to come across this eatery. Years ago, there was a Copper Cricket in Binghamton that was a big favorite of ours. We had to stop for lunch. It's a remodeled Pizza Hut building, and done very attractively. We had a grilled chicken on focia bread and a tyrkey club sandwich. Both were delicious and plentyful. We had to take half of each home. The sandwiches came with a choice of sides. I had a passable potato salad, and Meg had steak fries she rated as very good. Ice water and lemonade were the drink choices. The lunch crowd at 1:30 pm was a packed house and our server worked hard to please everyone. The prices are on the lower side of upscale, but wecfeel that we got our money's worth. If you pass through the home of Colgate University, stop in. Who knows, your server just might be a leader of the 21st century.

Breakfast scramble

Ate here for breakfast and it was great. I got the breakfast scramble and the portion was huge! I could have ate it for 3 meals. All the other meals we had were also great. They have ice coffee not just hot which I love. The menu is huge with so many options. Service was quick and friendly! If I lived here I would frequent this place.

1/2lb waygu beef with side
J H.

New eating establishment in town and wanted to try it out. We went to have lunch there and decided on the waygu beef 1/2 lb with mushrooms, bacon and Swiss cheese with lettuce, tomato and onion with a side of Mac salad. Beef was tender and delicious. Side was very small. Service was good and restaurant very clean. Nice menu with alot of offerings. Will be back in the near future.

A typical day of Frank food consists of mushy veggies, lots of chicken, rice of some sort, and some strange cold pasta salad. If you're looking for a nice date spot, this is the place. The atmosphere is warm and inclusive. There are lots of benches making the space feel super cozy. If you're lucky, on occasion, Frank puts on special dinners. Some highlights include Root Fest (all vegan dinner), Franksgiving, and Sunday brunch. I highly recommend trying the vegetable spring rolls. The burgers are always a solid option, Mac n cheese always slaps. Personally, my favorite stations are the yogurt and fruit bar, the coffee station (sometimes hit or miss), and obviously the ice cream station (personal fav is the soft-serve). This wouldn't be an in-depth review if I didn't highlight some of the pitfalls. Lines tend to be long during lunch and dinner hours. If you're looking for a quick in and out on the type lunch, you probably don't wanna go to Frank. There are limited to-go options besides breakfast items. However, this isn't to say that I don't spend hours in frank with my friends, typically eating about three dinners each. Seriously don't knock it until you try it, make a trip down to Frank dining hall and enjoy a lovely dinner, lunch, or quick breakfast with a friend. You will never go hungry at Frank, whether you enjoy your food ehhhh, and always remember if you are ever constipated, Frank can help with that. When asked "What is your favorite thing about Frank?" Chef Andrew and owner knocked it out of the park tonight. Spouses shrimp special with mushrooms and spinach over pasta. Bread licking good . Lamb chops 3 of them were good. Cooked perfectly Yukon mashed and vegetables also very good. Starter, no pictures, we ate them before pictures were excellent. Shared a wedge salad and small clams casino . Service by Todd was very good. Worth a drive and highly recommended.

The menu is a mix of a chophouse with a large selection of chef selections from paella, pasta and schnitzel. The chef is a CIA graduate which is surprising to find in Central NY. The food was fresh and i noted that the chef makes his own bread, dressing, aioli's and desserts. It's clear the chef puts care into his work. We ordered - house salad - solid salad with house dressing. nice, nothing crazy - onion soup, this was excellent. really well done, from the croutons, cheese and flavor. wow - calamari - the only thing we didnt love - chicken schnitzle - excellent, authentic - scallops - fresh, perfectly cooked. a bit too sauced, but great - creamy garlic and spinach pasta - our kids didnt love, but decent The desserts were great as well. The restaurant was very accommodating to our casual attire and 3 young kids. Amazingly kind. The entire experience is a bit like going back in time, the historic nature of the setting is hard to explain, but you really feel it.

New changes are... weird…read more We've come here so many times over the years and almost always had a great experience. Sometimes the place is busy and the service is slow because of it, but the food is always good, and I get that it's a learning environment for students, so: be patient, folks. But now the management has changed the whole experience. They've cut back the serving staff to only TWO people, closed the downstairs room altogether, and taken out tables so that there are only 2 booths and 2 four-tops, plus the bar. Their FB page now says "reservations only" but they don't even have an online system so you can see what dates are free. You have to call to talk to one of those belabored *two* people who are covering the entire room. I'm guessing they're also the ones answering the phones for take-out, too. How is this "enhancing [my] dining experience" exactly? To be fair, the food is still good and the two ladies working the night we were there are great and gave us great service. But the room feels spookily empty with so few tables. Plus the idea of being guilted into calling for mandatory reservations? Who does that?! Disappointing management decision that does a disservice to all the hardworking people who work here, and to their loyal customers too. Not sure when we'll be back again, now.

They serve up standard breakfast fare including eggs, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, omelets, breakfast sides, and US Foods coffee. For lunch, they serve up sandwich platters, burgers, wraps, soup, salads, chicken tenders, hand cut fries, sweet potato fries, fried cheese curds, desserts (pies, ice cream, strawberry shortcake, cookies), and Pepsifountain drinks. They also post daily specials. The place is pretty casual with stained glass overhanging lighting, table seating and stools up at the lunch counter. I stopped by here for a lunch break recently on my way out to Syracuse. The place was fairly busy just before 1pm. I got an ice water and decided on a posted special, which was the Country, Fried Chicken ($15.99 plus tax) served with mashed potatoes and veg of day. My entrée was served in 18 minutes after ordering. The portion of food was just right. The breaded cutlet smothered in a thick cream gravy was thick and actually a medium rare beefsteak inside. I was going a steak knife too. The homemade chunky mashed potatoes were also smothered in a thick cream gravy. The veg of day was cream of spinach. I finished my plate of food and requested the check shortly afterwards. The check was $17.27 with tax and before tip. Overall, I enjoyed good comfort food in a busy local restaurant. The service was hectic as the place was quite busy and the staff was working together to get things done before they closed up for the day at 2pm.
