One of the cleanest places I've eaten at, amazing customer service, and the food was delicious.

I ordered the chicken pot pie this morning at 11 o'clock. It was just coming out of the oven. Never had it before. It was fantastic. I was a little bit leery cause I don't normally order different things from there. But I am so glad that I did. I will do it again fantastic food for the money. You could make sure you have a staple next to the Chicken which is Mashed Potatoes & Gravy! Was told they were closing early so didn't make any, then when I ask for an additional salad dressing was told I had to pay after I checked out. Tried the Grand Blanc location and it was terrible. No comparison to the earlier days of ya-ya when cooked over flame. The portions were quite small and not very tasty. My wife got one of the bowls and it was not very good. I will never return. read more

This is a fast-casual restaurant. It's our favorite restaurant for a mid-week meal to pick up after work when we are rushing to events and don't have time to cook. The flame-broiled chicken is amazing. I usually get a chicken Caesar salad with their house dressing. It's delicious. There is no better fast-casual in our area. My only complaint is their chicken noodle soup is sometimes actually soup and other times it's thick and gross. Not certain why but I have questions. read more

My frequency of dining at this location has decreased over the years - due to location i may made it here once or twice per year over the last 3-4 years. My order is fundamentally the same - a cold chicken salad. Generally I addpita bread and honey butter, however, in my most recent order I opted to add 2 chicken wings instead. The extra chicken wings left a lot to be desired and the chicken salad wasn't as good as I remembered. I'm not sure if the change is with me or with the quality of food in this last order. First time at Ya Ya's today. They are way too expensive for what you get! I bought 1/2 chicken. Came with 2 sides. I chose salad and Mac n cheese. (The salad was just plain bagged lettuce!). The staff was great. The food had zero flavor. This was the most bland, dry chicken I have ever had. No flavor of what it used to be. Mac and cheese was bland. Pita was dry, could have played frisbee with it. The mashed potatoes were about a 3/10. That was the best thing of the meal. And that was pretty sad. Haven't had YaYa's in about 10 years. Ugh the sigh of disappointment I felt to come back home finally be able to grab some Yaya's and find out they stopped selling Rice Pudding! They also have new things on the menu and granted is has been years but I hoped they would stay to there core. Seeing Mac and Cheese on the menu just threw me all off. This review is only about the Grand Blanc YaYa's, Midland and Lansings YaYa's are still Exceptional I look forward to taking my business to them ,I always used to enjoy this restaurant but with the owners that have been in there (Grand Blanc) over the last several years they have steadily gone downhill. I have reached out multiple times to the owners and never gotten a single response. I called the corporate office last week to complain about an order that I did that was not what I expected from them,quality was poor at best. They hung up on me when I tried to explain my issues with my past several orders, I do a lot of catering and my expectations are high but I've used YaYa's for 30 years and will never Grand Blanc's YaYa's again. I will drive to Lansing or Midland because both of those Ya Yas care about their customers care about what they're serving and want your business. The Ya Yas in Grand Blanc doesn't care anymore and it's obvious. It's very sad because Ya Yas does have the best tasting chicken around (not Grand Blanc's) but I will continue to use the Ya Yas in both Lansing and Midland which I do on a monthly basis but no longer will even consider Grand Blanc's YaYa's! Should have stopped going when the quit cooking chicken throughout the day and cutting it fresh, now just old, tough little pieces cooked once a day? So disappointed, I wish they would listen! I did tell them I would probably just post on Yelp if they didn't give me a call but guess they aren't worried about a bad review. read more

Their chicken salad is ridiculous! We used to get food here regularly.. the last time I got the salad it was barely and lettuce and about 2 ounces of chicken. I wrote it off to just being a bad experience. Well, a couple months later and the same exact thing. This salad is maybe worth $3.00, not $7.00. Good chicken for a good price. The service was friendly and fast. The corn was more like peppers and onion with corn thrown in.

Watch pricing, they charge whatever they feel like..Total is ALWAYS more than I calculated. Food good but high prices and bad service : First of all when entering, I usually feel like they are thinking "Ugh, what are you doing here?" Feel very unwelcome. I ordered a meal with $2 coupon, the price was $24.59 on menu board above. So i'm thinking should be around $22. I was told total was $26 something . When I questioned it, the girl at register was probably new, she asked a coworker for help with coupon. He was getting impatient. I told her the price on menu board was $24.59 so with $2 off it should be 22.59. She checked with the guy again and he was again agitated but helped her. I again questioned the total , trying to get clarification on price , she called him over again, he stomped over to register angrily, said in a condescending voice to me, "The price is ... with tax, its ...." I still needed clarification on pricing , feeling I was getting ripped off, but just gave up because of his angry attitude. I still don't think I got my $2 coupon deducted, but no one was willing to explain it to me. The receipt says $24.59 plus $1.48 tax = 26.07 total. No sign of $2 being subtracted.. I seems like they charge whatever they want and don't want to explain so don't dare ask! Every time I go there I seem to pay more than I figured. From now on I will question it and keep trying to get an answer.. but management, pricing should not be that confusing, and If we have a question , don't we deserve a polite answer? read more

I have always liked their chicken. However, $9.00 for a takeout salad in styrofoam is ridiculous. With that being said, I recently got some good coupons so went back and bought dinner for all six of us. I ordered 4 chicken salads and an eight piece meal. I asked specifically for their house dressing and they gave me all Caesar. Now I'm home with the family ready to eat and I have dressing nobody likes. It pays to listen to your customers and make sure the order is right. They got my business with a coupon and have lost it again because they blew it on the delivery. read more

The chicken is good, but that's about it. The salads used to be awesome, but now they are small and bland. The only side dish I like is the mashed potatoes and gravy. Just tell me how a chicken restaurant can sell out of white chicken breasts at 5 PM. This is not the first time it has happened in the middle of the dinner hour either. BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the original Ya Ya Chicken Wrap are delicious. Loved them both. I was disappointed in the salads. The chicken salad had slightly dried out chicken on it and it was tasteless, no pepper or anything added to the chicken. I was disturbed by this because the chicken on the sandwiches and wraps was yummy. The salad had bad lettuce on it too, brown and lifeless. I threw most of it out, so that was money not well spent, but I'll keep on eating the sandwiches. Never tried a full chicken dinner, but I might do that next.
