Yeah No, we're not a fan of this place. The bartender didn't acknowledge us until 4 minutes after arriving and her vibe was off putting. I ordered the Cesar salad and my fiancé had the steak and cheese sandwich. My fiancé said it was dry and only included one green pepper and no mushrooms. My Cesar salad chicken was a little dry. We also ordered the Tap App appetizer and it was decent except for what we imagined was going to be cheese curds. It is 5 pm and there's 17 customers total in the establishment, wait time for a drink is excessive and bartenders are busy chatting it up rather than getting busy! Food was good and served in a timely manner. This is my fourth visit within the last 6 mos and this seems to be the norm here! Very disappointing and I'm not sure how they will ever stay in business. I would honestly rate it 3.5 but I gave em a 4. I think they try. Online and door says they are open til 11 but winter hours are 10pm. Front door was broken. Waitress was ok, not very busy though. Awesome space! Would be a great place to throw a party! Music was way too loud, more like a club setting for music. Breadsticks were good. Would eat them again. I live in town right by this place and I really wanted to like it, like I really wanted to! I met my brother there one night for a couple of cocktails and a little bit of dinner, the beer came out room temperature! No chill to the beer at all, I couldn't believe it. The food was the most basic food that you could ever imagine, which is fine. It's a bar, but have some quality. The waitress seemed to be working the entire place all by herself, she did the best she could, but you could tell she really wasn't a waitress, probably a fill-in that did some other job. It was bad enough that I had thought about finding investors and maybe making a bid to buy the place myself, this place could be a friggin gold mind! But you gotta have ice, cold, beer, and good quality food, this place just is not very good, and I don't think it's gonna make it very long. These corrections are so easy to make, it makes me really believe whoever owns this establishment, is not a restaurant person and has never worked in restaurants before and really don't get the concept that you're also an entertainment business, good food, cold, beer, and friends, they didn't mean any malice, but it's just a very poorly run establishment unfortunately. You could make a mountain of money owning a bar like this and just serve a really good burger or a Reuben or something of that nature, they're not even trying, this is all frozen food out of a box, there's nothing fresh here. The overall look at the bar is not bad, but how do you serve food and not have salt and pepper shakers on the table? The bones are there for this place to be really good, you just need an owner who has creativity and an actual vision of what they're trying to do, this ain't it! The signage on the outside is pretty good though, but they need a leader. I looked over at another patron and they brought out his meal and literally brought out on a separate plate his mashed potatoes, 10 minutes later! Stopped on a Saturday afternoon.what we liked: *Seat yourself so immediate seating. *Beer was cold. And a decent beer list. * The pork in the nachos tasted good and was a heavy proportion. What could if been better: * Service- only one table of people and a couple at the bar when we arrived. Sat down and waited. We waited long enough to pull up apps and look up other places for lunch. Server eventually put her phone down and came over. Gave us a menus and asked if we were ready to order drinks. * service just wasn't attentive. * I'll admit I am a nacho snob. Not a fan of a big pile of chips with all the toppings on top. Some of the house made chips were so salty I could feel my blood pressure going up. *Mimosa flight should be fun, they scream let's have fun...normally. These were sad mimosas. Maybe a little umbrella, lemon twist, anything to bring them to life. They looked unhappy and tasted unhappy. * Again, lukewarm fries. * The burger was ordered medium rare and came out grey. As I sat at the bar and watched the wait staff I did notice a table of 4 American African sit down and waited for over 20 mins for someone to even ask if they needed a drink. So I asked the waitress why is she ignoring them and she stated and I quote " I have a party I am taking care of and I am not taking any more orders " then I watched as the waitress finally approached the table and treated them with disrespect. EDIT: I took the flatbread home after eating one slice because I figured once I get home, I could put flavor on it since it had none. After making it the next day I found a tomato in it so now that makes me think whose fingers were in my food and how did they get all the tomatoes out just to put my mushrooms on it and give it right back to me. Gross and unacceptable.!!! never had an issue with this place before until now. The service is horrible. The place is not that busy at all but they only have one girl working behind the bar for the whole entire place which is not that big. I should have known something was up when the lady next to me, ordered a flatbread pizza and sent it back because it was cold. I ordered a flatbread pizza too, and had to send it right back because they apparently could not get two items on the pizza correctly such as pepperoni and mushrooms. The pizza showed up and it was pepperoni and tomatoes. The martini I got was a s'mores martini, and it could not be any more of a sad martini. There is no chocolate rim. There is no graham crumbles or anything like I'm used to here before. It's 50° outside and they have their big balcony door open, so it's actually pretty cold in here with people wearing their jackets and everything and they're just not getting the hint to close the door. read more

Very slow service. We have tried multiple days at different times and each visit is disappointing. After 3 tries we are DONE. I have been in other bars which were short staffed and never had the wait I do at Grand Blanc Tap. I blame management. This place never seems to have a good one. The bar was remodeled not that long ago. Some of the lounge tables already are falling apart. Several TVs weren't even on. The large screen which wasn't on looked like it was about to fall off the wall. Last straw was a Friday night which should be a great night for service. Instead we were at our table and could see our drinks sitting waiting to be picked up. Other customers went to the bar to pick up their drinks instead of waiting. Our server left and never mentioned she was leaving so no one came to give us our bill. The whole experience took 2 hours and we only had 2 drinks. We should have been able to either have more or get out sooner. read more

Was so hoping that this would be a much better experience than previously Untrained wait staff all very young scurrying about without direction. Several bar items listed on the menu not available but wait staff did not know until 10 mins later. Took 10 mins to get a beer sample. Cole slaw served with fish and chips very bad tasting and not fresh (as if it were made a few days before) There are way too many choices for good food in our area and we probably will not return. Perhaps management is counting on the young 20 something crowd to drop by and drink a ton but the food quality was nothing at all to smile about. read more

I can't stress this enough: the waitstaff are extremely strung out. This must be a terrible work environment. Our waitress was incredibly rude and had no interest in serving us. We were there for an hour. Our waitress came to our table maybe 3 times. We wanted food at the beginning. She said she couldn't put food in for 10 minutes. 30 minutes in we asked for fries and she made it seem like she would get fired if she put in an order. We eventually got the fries. They sucked. We watched as the waitstaff attended tables with manic energy. There wasn't a friendly face anywhere. Tables were not cleared and trash was everywhere. Our table was never wiped down from the previous use. But there were so many employees! They were either gathered by the karaoke/DJ booth or running between tables like a skier on a downhill slalom. We left after an hour of waiting to order food. This place either needs Gordon Ramsey and the kitchen nightmare crew, or it needs to be turned into boxing gym so the employees have something to punch other than the vibe of their patrons. read more

This is hard but hopefully you read the whole thing. Alcohol selection is a "1", that means GOOD. Waitress is a ".5". The atmosphere is a "1" and the cleanliness is ".25". When we walked in, it smelled like fryer grease was spread everywhere. When we used the bathrooms, it smelled like fryer grease was used to clean. We left and smelled like we were in a fried chicken restaurant. I am not sure if the kitchen has not been cleaned, the grease traps have not been cleaned or some other grease cleaning process has not happened. We came directly home and put all our clothes including our coats in the washer to get rid of the smell. We also, instantly showered to get the smell off our skin and hair. The space is perfect for large groups but service by the waitress and the grease smell is not good. We will try again in a month or so to see if either of these issues are fixed. So realistically 2.75 out of 5 but had to pick a 3. No picks, just had drinks read more

Let me start off with the fact that we had Great service and the atmosphere inside is great. Unfortunately, both the drinks I ordered were missing ingredients (still full price though), and my $15 chicken sandwich had the skimpiest piece of chicken on. All fluff on thick Texas toast, tomatoes and lettuce with about 1/4" thick piece of chicken lol. Have had good experiences here in the past, but when I come in and spend $75 on 2 meals and 2 drinks a piece (before the tip) I expect to actually get what I'm paying for. read more

On Friday, December 6th, we held a Memorial reception for 20 people at Grand Blanc Tap & Grill. Our afternoon event was held in the side room. We made our arrangements with Frank, the friendly, easy to work with Catering Manager. He served a delicious pasta buffet dinner. Our server, Dakota, was completely accommodating. As our cold guests arrived, she brought out mugs of hot coffee. She played burning log fireplace screen savers on the room TVs. Wrong drinks (we just had beer) and we could not find her so we went to the bar ourselves to get correct drinks. Check was wrong but we paid it - too much of a hassle to find her. Went a week later for a carry out (the Stromboli is great). Six people waiting from the private party to get drinks. No server at the private party. I asked two people for my carry out but had to go to bar and join the line. The bar tender never made eye contact with any of us waiting and all she kept saying was "I'm busy". Asked a passing server for my carry out and she said "Sorry, she is really busy." Really??? No one else can get the food? There were only about 5 tables full in addition to the private party. None of the staff makes eye contact with anyone waiting. Maybe we will go away and not bother the busy bartender. Amazed how many times she said that to waiting customers. read more

I don't know what the concept is here and I don't think the owners do either. Place looks nice with bar and ceilings but the tables are cheap and look like a family diner or coney. Nice draft and cocktail selection. Service was not good, place was not busy on a Friday evening, not a good sign, and every part of the experience took too long. The appetizers were all mostly frozen pre packaged standard bar foods, from the 90's and way overcooked. The main meals were poorly presented, my wife had a big club sandwich which the bread was badly burnt yet somehow got served. We will come back for drinks but will head elsewhere for dinner. read more

We went with a group of 10 people on a Thursday around 4:30 pm. The place wasn't very busy. The waitress took our drink orders, we waited at least 20-30 minutes for those and had to ask 3 times for water. When she finally took our order, it was so messed up she didn't know what to do. Wrong food was brought out, and two in our group didn't even get their food. She apologized and they got theirs when the rest of us were done eating. Then to top it off, when we got our check, everything was wrong. Our friends had items on their check that they didn't order, on others in our group items were duplicated and charged for twice. Terrible service. We sat down and after 15+ minutes i asked if we sat in an area to eat food (the booth style seats along the wall) and how long it tool to get someone to acknowledge us. Finally got a waitress. She didn't ask about refilling drinks so we asked the bartender directly. Ordered a burger medium and it was well done and so dry. My nephew raved about how good the Chicago Style Pizza was at Grand Blanc Tap Bar & Grill so I had to try it and I was not disappointed. It had lots of cheese and tasted fabulous! I had great service from Brittney, Andie and Stacey, who were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I sat at the bar while I waited for my pizza and enjoyed a glass of refreshingly cold beer while chatting with the staff. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable and I will definitely be back! read more
