Foreign Auto Solutions is the worst place to bring your car for repairs! Their prices are through…read morethe roof (the highest in the area), and what's more, they refused to diagnose the engine light in my car. These are the basics, right? The shop has flatly refused to diagnose the engine light in my VW Beetle. Their sales pitch about using "the best oil" is no more than a full synthetic compatible with your car. Any shop will do this. What's more, Foreign Auto Solutions doesn't care about their customers other than getting paid. They don't clean up their parking lot nor do they salt it. Right smack in the middle of the winter, I slipped and fell on the black ice in the parking lot, and a kind bystander helped me back to my feet. Bystander, and not one of the shop workers. I walked inside and grabbed a piece of a paper towel to stop bleeding in my hands. I was actually lucky to even find a piece of paper towel; it was almost used up and not refilled. This was the last time that I visited this shop. Never again, and don't recommend it to anyone. Enough said.

There…read moreare many small repair shops on Vine Street to pick from, but most were very busy and we really needed to get home. It was then I noticed a new shop with a grandopening sign that hardly had any cars in front of it. I stopped in and the owner, George, came out and evaluated the truck. I was nervous at first with somebody new, but I soon realized he had a lot of experience and a really great demeanor. George told me exactly what was wrong, offered a few suggestions to save money, and put my mind to ease about the awful noise it was making. In a couple hours my truck was done and returned to me working great without greasy fingerprints or switched radio stations! How cool is that? The price was very competive. Bottom Line: I had a very good experience. George has a bit of an accent, but he is understandable, personable and knowledgable. I would recommend you reward George's entrpreneurial spirit and business contribution to Willowick by giving Family Auto Service a try.
