Very good sushi, and my husband had a nice ribeye steak. The veggies with the steak were really good, too. Very generous portions.

The server was very friendly and prompt, to begin with. The interior is nice. Son ordered the Dragon Roll (shrimp tempura) and fried rice with chicken, while I had the Filet Mignon Bento Box. His Dragon Roll was beautifully presented and tasted good. Could have used more Wasabi, and I had to ask for soy sauce. The rice was good, and the chicken was breast, relatively plain, generous chunks, in a not overly sweet sauce. My Bento box came with dumplings in an egg skin? Rice, small salad, small soup, and four California rolls. Everything was tasty. The soup was a basic but good beef stock with fried onion. The salad was lettuce only (which was fine) with your standard Japanese style dressing. Everything was in good portion sizes for my taste. The filet mignon was tender and served on a bed of soft onions and teriyaki sauce with a tiny adorable broccoli garnish. We ended up eating almost everything but some of the sushi and a bed of fried rice. I really appreciated that I didn't feel wasteful. Oh, they had a good seeming selection of beer and wine, though we had unsweet tea (me) and water (son). Definitely will return!

My husband ordered filet mignon but they were out so he ordered a steak. He could not even bite into the first piece I took it and could not bite into it either so I told them and they would not knock it off of the bill. I would not go back there for anything. They'll find if they have horrible service and horrible food. People won't come there we were the only people in the parking lot now I know why.

The first thing I noticed was the parking lot was small and packed full of cars. Inside it was much larger than it appeared. A nice hostess greeted us at the door and took us to our seats. We were seated with two other small groups. The waiter came out and took drink orders. I chose a Kirin Ichban Japanese beer along with some Gyoza as an appetizer. It came out quickly. Then we ordered our Hibachi meals. I had the chicken and shrimp. Mt daughter got the same. The meals came with miso soup and a salad. The main reason my daughter wanted to come was for the show. The chef clocked all of the vegetables, fried the rice, and cooked the meats with flair. A very entertaining atmosphere that added to the meal. The food was delicious as well. My chicken was cooked properly without being dried out or undercooked. It was a great dining experience.

The theatrics at the grill are well-executed without veering into gimmick territory, and the chefs clearly know their way around a teppanyaki surface. The steak deserves mention. Properly seasoned and cooked to order, it holds up against pricier competitors. The fried rice is a quiet standout - better than it needs to be, which says something about the kitchen's attention to detail even on the basics. Where Ichiban earns its reputation is in the overall package. Communal grill seating creates an energy that's difficult to manufacture, and on a good night the atmosphere genuinely elevates the meal. Service is functional rather than polished, which feels appropriate for the format. The pricing reflects the experience rather than purely the food, and that's a fair trade for most diners. Walk-ins are acc lodated, making it an accessible option without une friction of advance planning. Not a destination for the serious gastronome, but an honest, well-run restaurant that delivers what it promises.

Last time I reviewed it I dined with a friend at one of their Hibachi tables with chef performances. I invite you to read that review and view my photographs accompanying it. It was an amazing dining experience. This time I dined at their traditional dining room next to their Sushi Bar. As soon as I arrived the friendly lady host welcomed me and after asking where I preferred to dine, took me to one of their tables there. Shortly afterwards, my friendly server arrived and took my drink order of a Coke. Then after I had reviewed their menu, I made the following order to my server: I ordered the Gyoza for appetizer and for my main entrée I ordered the Lobster, Filet Mignon (cooked medium-rare), and Scallop Hibachi Dinner which was served with a chicken broth and green salad with the house ginger dressing. The timing of the bringing out the items of my order was perfect. My server did an excellent job serving me the items of my order and making sure I didn't need anything else. This dining area had a more relaxed environment and the food was the same high-quality food. The filet was very tender and juicy. The scallops also tasted very good as well as the lobster meat that was served in a small bowl. The fried rice however tasted somewhat strange. Like if they hadn't rinsed the container where it was cooked well and it had a soapy flavor. It also lacked the flavor of Japanese butter, that it usually has when I had it served from the hot table performance. For dessert I ordered a slice of their Japanese Layered Crepe Cake. I remembered how delicious it tasted last time. This time it also tasted awesome yet not as fresh as last time. In conclusion I still highly recommend this restaurant, preferably eating at the interactive dining experience with a chef cooking at your table, unless your ordering Sushi. Then the traditional dining room with Sushi Bar would be a better option.
