Always delicious- great friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Sawa is one of our go-to restaurants!

Busy little joint!!

Love this place! Tim the manager takes good care of everybody and makes sure the clients are well taken care of. The Ramen is always on point hot & fresh! It has never disappointed! The food arrived within 5 to 7 minutes of order even when the place is crowded! This has become a family favorite for many people in this area. Food is not comparatively cheap but well worth the price! I highly recommend this place! It has gradually become a local favorite!

Probably the best value in the area!! Food is incredible and prices are very reasonable. We tried just about everything. Service was quick. Absolutely love this place!!

Ordered the all Salmon Sashimi and Sushi dinner; was completely satisfied with the quality, thick cuts, and perfectly plated presentation. Not only a delicious easy light dinner, but the service was timely as I was sadly in a rush that day and needed something beyond processed options. Would highly recommended and will make this a go to when I'm traveling.

The food was really good. Not as good as Mizumi's downtown but definitely a close second. They had the biggest and best shrimp egg rolls I've ever had. I had sesame chicken and while everything was delicious the chicken did seem a bit over done. The service was really good and attentive and the place was nice and cozy with lots of visual elements to look at while dining. Overall a good experience and we would eat here again.

Very good popcorn chicken! A must try! What a local gem! We discovered Sawa while visiting the Blue Ridge. Beautifully decorated with Japanese themes. Fast service (ordered on DoorDash for self pick up). Friendly and professional. We came back a second time during our stay, and they remembered to give us both chopsticks and forks (per our preference.

Stopped in for the sushi. Pretty good. Not a large portion - but definitely fresh. I reckon we'll be back.

This is one of our favorite Lynchburg places…read more The salad bar is amazing to start and then there are many options for the "main course" in terms of steak, chicken (of course) and fish. Make sure you try some of the amazing sides.

I really liked the atmosphere, and there were a few highlights. The drinks were good, the blackened scallop appetizer was delicious, and the duck wonton was probably my favorite bite of the night. I also thought it was really interesting to watch the steak being cut and measured right at the table, that was a nice touch. We ordered the 14 oz. ribeye with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese. The steak was good, but for the price point, I expected more. The mac and cheese was especially disappointing. It wasn't particularly cheesy or creamy and, honestly, was pretty bland. When you're paying fine-dining prices, I expect even the simple sides to feel thoughtfully prepared. That's probably my biggest takeaway. The restaurant is described as fine dining, so I went in expecting something a little more unique, whether that was in the menu, presentation, flavors, or overall experience. There just wasn't much that felt distinctive enough to justify the price for me. Maybe my expectations are simply a little higher because we're foodies and really enjoy seeking out restaurants that surprise us or give us something memorable. We had a nice evening with friends, and there were definitely some things I enjoyed, but based on the food and value, I don't think I'd go back. I really wanted to love it, especially because I had heard good things and went in with high hopes. Unfortunately, it just didn't leave me feeling like the experience matched the price.

We really wanted a…read moresteak, but recent rating on another steakhouse recommended caused us to look elsewhere--so we picked Benjamins. It was a pleasant experience, rustic look, casual--we had only been there one time before We had a shrimp appetizer, it was fantastic, huge shrimp, recommend asking for extra O'Bay spices if you order this. Then, we had a surf and turf with baked potato, steak was excellent (tender, good flavor), crab cake was acceptable but could have been better (estimate 6.5 out of 10). I ordered a seafood trio with salmon, crab cake, and crab legs. Crab Legs came with one cluster of snow crabs (they were not warm by the time I got to them and had been dried out (maybe overcooked?) and I would score them about a 4.5 on a score of 1-10). The amazing part of the meal was the Brussel Sprouts (wow, so tasty). salmon was ok, small portion, and cole slow was good. So it may sound as if I am critical of some of the food, but overall I say it was a great experience. Service was great, The thing I noticed about the clientele and ambiance is there were many people that come here regularly on Friday evenings--many of the people seemed to know each other and they were enjoying the evening--again great place!

I ask to be seated away from the door? Hostess says where do you want to sit I said doesn't matter just not in the entry way. Server was good. Drinks were horrible, they put ice all the way to the top of the glass. Barely any soda or water in the glass. Drinks are the cheapest part of the meal WHY skimp on them? We both ordered 12oz ribeye's medium. Steaks came out well done, very dry and tough. For $35.00 per steak it should come out the way it was ordered.

I ordered large but my bowl was only about half full. There wasn't alot of chicken in my dish. My daughter inlaw had the smash burger. She loved it but the patties needed seasoning. The smash burger was assembled nicely and overall very tasty. Fries were nice and crunchy. Overall a good meal and pleasant dining experience.
