First time to this restaurant but heard very good reviews from friends and family. We walk in and there is hardly anyone in the place and the hostess wants to put us right at the entry way. I ask to be seated away from the door? Hostess says where do you want to sit I said doesn't matter just not in the entry way. Server was good. Drinks were horrible, they put ice all the way to the top of the glass. Barely any soda or water in the glass. Drinks are the cheapest part of the meal WHY skimp on them? The sauce was tasty, the filling was delicious. Pasta was tender. The dish was three lasagna rolls, covered in sauce and cheese. She loved it but she said it was too much sauce but very tasty. I had the Chicken pesto pasta. The pesto was very tasty. Chicken was overcooked. Pasta was slightly overcooked. Overall it was a very tasty dish. My primary complaint is the portion size. I ordered large but my bowl was only about half full. There wasn't alot of chicken in my dish. My daughter inlaw had the smash burger. She loved it but the patties needed seasoning. Was looking forward to a nice lunch, when I was recommended Tap & Table. My family spoke highly of the restaurant so I had high expectations. The restaurant is so cute, but I was a bit disappointed. The restaurant was slow, service was slow and a bit inattentive- we didn't even get our waitresses' name. On top of that, the food was a but disappointing. Went on a Saturday afternoon and was seated almost immediately. Had a newer waitress but couldn't tell she was inexperienced. She was friendly and knowledgeable. I got the sangria flight and the chicken tenders which came with a petite salad which was just the right size! Our table also ordered the crab dip as an appetizer and was not disappointed. My partner and I went to this restaurant last night and had E, as our server. She did amazing until it was time to pay for the food. The total was $82.09, and he gave her $100.10. We told her to keep the penny, so it was expected to receive $18 back in change; however, when E gave us the change back, it was only $7. I'm going to assume that she felt that she wasn't going to receive a tip and felt "obligated" to take the money. I had to call another worker to grab E to confront her. When confronted, she "magically" pulled the $10 out of her back pocket and stated, " I was wondering where the $10 went." Oh wow, that's interesting. We had her tip ready to give to her, which was really upsetting. Not to mention, we ended up tipping her still and it was more than $10! I noted this place on the way elsewhere, doubled back on the way home to enjoy lunch around 11-11:30 on a Saturday. You can tell this is the place locals go. We sat at a hightop at the bar and Danielle took magnificent care of us. You can see the connection she has with her regulars, which is great to see. Liquor and beers were priced well, especially considering the upscale look at the place. Plenty of space at the bar, high tops, booths throughout the restaurant, and ample parking. Why drive 35 minutes from home (for us) to go to Frankie Rowlands and fight for parking when you can come here, 39 minutes away, spend less, and have just as spectacular of an experience. The dinner menu will bring us back soon! The Caesar has capers, which I wasn't expecting, but still delicious, and great romaine, not just white stalks. Shaved Parmesan and croutons were a good touch. Chicken tender special that had the Caesar with it were juicy, flavorful, and tender. The fries were PERFECTION. This was a great choice for lunch! The boneless wings were a big portion, I wasn't expecting that much for the 1/2 lb option. They weren't over done, not over breaded, and were also tender and juicy. Delicious! I'm a dip snob and with our lunch choices we tried 4 different; ranch (AMAZING), bang bang (REALLY good, not over the top spicy), honey whiskey (GREAT!), and Thai chili (a favorite for sure). We literally saved chicken to go home and sat there and crammed all the fries down with the sauces. Highly recommend coming to check this place out. Friday Night Vibin! Came here around 5:30 on a Friday for an early dinner with my father and fiancée and first off the parking lot was full, always good to see at that time. Went into the restaurant and the aesthetic is very cute and the booths are separated in a way that gives some good privacy. Now the food was great we had the prime rib, the ribeye and the short rib gnocchi and let's say we were all very happy with the food. My filet mingon which was the 8 ounce, was out of this world good I had it cooked medium which was a perfect pink center and added the asparagus and gouda mashed potatoes as sides which were phenomenal as well. Couple months ago they changed the menu and eliminated half of the choices. Majority of what my family ordered was taken off the menu so we decided to go back and try some different foods anyways. We ordered a sirloin steak medium well, A smash burger pink, and Parmesan garlic wings and sadly all of it was made wrong. The steak was brought out almost blue rare it was so undercooked on the inside, I didn't think I would half to tell the cook to butterfly the steak especially for just medium well but I wish I had, they took the steak back and cooked it to what was still equivalent to medium rare in the inside where it was well done on the outer edge. They offered to cook it again or make a new one but if you mess up twice I'm not gonna trust you a third time to get it right nor wait around for them to make it over again. The wings were made in the wrong sauce and had to be remade, and the smash burger was well done and somehow still greasy & I was supposed to get a side house salad with the burger and never got one. Our waitress tired her best and mind you it was her 4th day on the job, but none of it was her fault, she tried her best and had our order done properly it's just whoever was the cook on 6/19/25 had no clue what they were doing, nor should ever be allowed in a kitchen again in their life. read more

My son and fiancé had a rehearsal dinner reserved for 3+ months. We met with the manager 4 weeks prior, where the small space would be reserved. The manager informed us that there may be customers around the area but they would only seat customers in this area so they would not interfere w the dinner. When we arrived that night, the manager had double booked the space. Of course he was conveniently off that night. The server went above and beyond to appease our party. The other guests that were given our space flipped the bird to the mother of the groom- very classy. The food was just okay- I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a celebration or even a nice dinner. I really enjoyed my meal here. To start, we shared Buffalo chicken dip and the pretzel bites. I had the rosé sangria to drink and lasagna as my main course. Everything was great. We've had great experience with 221's food and service (esp from the dinner menu) until we ordered Steak Fried Rice from the lunch menu. Boy, what a HUGE LETDOWN in taste and look and appeal. It was YUK! 221 should know what Steak Fried Rice is. It should not be sticky wet rice. And the beef was tough and not cut up enough as a rice dish. Everything we've had up to this point was good. Tried their "Smash burger" which isn't a smash burger, it's a double cheeseburger. That was a little disappointing, because I do love a good Smashburger, and this just wasn't it. My order came out wrong, missing items, had to ask for a fix because the server didn't offer. 15 minutes later, had to flag down waiter, said they would look into it. Several minutes later had to ask again. Rest of table halfway done eating, and I haven't gotten a complete meal. Told the server the food is cold waiting for the missing items. Finally got served as the rest of the table finished up. Server seemed annoyed at me for whatever reason. No acknowledgement that food was not complete or served late. No apology. No "let me make this right." Seriously, the smallest gesture like a comped soda or simply acknowledge the situation or a sorry would have went a long way. She ordered blackened salmon over a salad and I ordered the crab cakes with asparagus. I also ordered a Three Roads "American" IPA. My wife said the salmon was the toughest she had ever eaten. Thats because the waitress messed up and my wife received blackened CHICKEN instead of salmon. My wife finished it anyway. The crab cakes were good but served at room temperature. One was burnt on the bottom. The asparagus were the largest I have ever been served, only able to eat the top half because the bottoms were too fibrous. The IPA had an unpleasant aftertaste. But I ordered it so I finished it. I like the space better when it was a hamburger joint. On a scale of one to five, I would give Tap to Table a three over-all. read more

I have been here twice giving it a second go and I have to say that overall service is terrible and the food was atrocious.

I was shocked by how GOOD this restaurant was. You enter and there's a "green wall" (artificial plants) and think 'OK, unique'. Service was great; we were seated promptly, given menus, and a few minutes later, drink orders taken. We spent a little time on the menu--I have allergies to wheat and beef; my go-to is the salad section, but my husband pointed out the gluten free options. Oh, boy -- maybe a sandwich? But THEN I saw the bison burger ! Holy cow, (pun intended) I was excited; and I ordered it with spinach as my side. Here's the verdict: WOW! 1. Bun was GF but Did NOT Fall Apart. 2. Bison was seared with a little crust from the grill, and had just the right amount of a sauce like a homemade BBQ sauce. 3, Also, just the right amount of coleslaw, plus onions, and STILL my burger did not fall apart. 4. the *spinach* was something to write home about ! Sauteed perfectly, with a jus that I couldn't identify, but it was great. Overall, I was pleasantly shocked by how good the whole experience was. Also, noticed that the same 'green wall' is used on the ceilings and I realized how quiet it seemed. No raised voice needed to converse with your partner across the table. Attractive AND functional? My husband called ahead to hold a table for us and when we got there they seated us way in the corner away from everyone. No one came to our table for over 10 minutes and I had to get back up to go to the host to see what was up. The manager heard me and was kind enough to come over awhile later and give us a gift certificate for the wait. The waitress was very nice but did seem a bit overwhelmed with how busy it got. She did thankfully warn us about the French fries not being in a dedicated gluten free fryer so had to choose a different side for one of the meals. The food finally got to us and we all enjoyed our meals very much except for the breads because they were pretty tasteless and soggy. Everything else was delicious. The decor was fun but the ladies restroom stalls were a bit odd with a gap that allows you to see in both stalls. Not a great feature. We appreciated the gluten free options but were disappointed about the fryer and lack of dessert options.
