a menu for a special sushi

Sharing the special rolls here bc I can never find these online when I want to order Togo!

Absolutely rivals any sushi I've had. And the staff are so lovely. One of the many highlights of Lewisburg!

Decent sushi in West Virginia... yes. This place surprises me every time. The rolls are fresh. The wait staff is attentive. The hot sake is good. All in all, it's a great place to eat sushi if you're in the area. This trip I had the Jenny roll and the Nabeyaki Udon soup. First, the roll. Light, fresh and tasty. It comes with either Eel or Shrimp. I chose eel. Spicy tuna, avocado and a Japanese BBQ sauce. It was delicious. Couple that with wasabi... killed it! Then the Udon noodle soup. Great Udon noodles. Soft and dense prepared just right. It came in a Roth with chicken, onions, and spices. I love this dish. It was about 40 degrees outside so this dish hit the spot. They were even nice enough to split the tab between food and alcohol, since I can only expense the food. Got in, enjoyed dinner, got out super happy! Great job Fujiyama!

It was a Saturday night and my wife, son and I wanted to go to somewhere different and new to us for a nice change- which living in this area can be a challenge. We decided to give this place a try. There is plenty of parking as it is set in a strip type of mall set up which is a nice thing. When we went in side, i was surprised at how small it was. It is narrow. The bar is right on the left as you walk in and then the rest of the place is tables. THere are about 20 tables or so. We did not have reservations, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Anna, was excellent. She was super friendly, prompt and very nice. We ordered a dumpling appetizer and a serving of spicy tuna sushi rolls. The dumpling was good with the sauce.. i think it was ginger based. However, the spicy tuna was Excellent!! when ever we go back, i will get more of these and maybe try other options. All three of us got a combination dinner, which is either beef and chicken or beef and shrimp. Along with that combination you get a salad with a good ginger dressing and a mushroom hot soup. The food was good but not as good as i would have thought considering the price of the meal. We also tried hot sake. I had never had sake before so my opinion on this sake is not a review of their sake. It is to strong a drink for me! But at least i tried it. We will probably go back and stick more to the sushi side and not go to the combination dinners. The service was very fast and good. It was a fun dinner with family. * I would have probably given this 3.5 stars if that was an option. The only thing that kept if from being a 4 was the cost of the combination dinners vs the amount of what you got.

    Loved the yellowtail!

The server was very friendly and prompt, to begin with. The interior is nice. Son ordered the Dragon Roll (shrimp tempura) and fried rice with chicken, while I had the Filet Mignon Bento Box. His Dragon Roll was beautifully presented and tasted good. Could have used more Wasabi, and I had to ask for soy sauce. The rice was good, and the chicken was breast, relatively plain, generous chunks, in a not overly sweet sauce. My Bento box came with dumplings in an egg skin? Rice, small salad, small soup, and four California rolls. Everything was tasty. The soup was a basic but good beef stock with fried onion. The salad was lettuce only (which was fine) with your standard Japanese style dressing. Everything was in good portion sizes for my taste. The filet mignon was tender and served on a bed of soft onions and teriyaki sauce with a tiny adorable broccoli garnish. We ended up eating almost everything but some of the sushi and a bed of fried rice. I really appreciated that I didn't feel wasteful. And Kabuki Japanese Steak House & Sushi located in Christianberg, Virginia is the perfect example. My friend and I arrived at the restaurant on a beautiful Tuesday early evening at around 5:30pm. The architectural design of the building itself was very impressive. The light blue tiles of the roof stand out as we're not used to seeing blue tiles on a building but mostly red. The majestic entrance to the building anticipated something special inside. After passing by several display cases with Japanese items inside we reached the Host's station where a young lady host warmly greeted us and guided us to the dining area. There we found several teppanyaki tables. These tables are designed with a built-in flat iron griddle where food is cooked in front of the diners. The term "teppanyaki" itself comes from the Japanese words "teppan" (iron plate) and "yaki" (grilled).  The first table was already complete, so we were the first party to be seated at the second table. I sat at the corner so had a perfect view of the chefs of both tables. First our server, another young lady came and took the order of everyone on the table. She then brought us our soup and salad which was a good size and very tasteful. Then the Chef came out and repeated the order in front.of us to make sure who wanted what and how did they wanted cooked. Both my friend and I ordered the Filet Mignon & Scallops. He ordered the steak medium and I medium rare. Then the Chef started doing a show with his cooking instruments and with fire. I invite you to view my photographs and video clips accompanying this review for a better idea of the set-up and food. Even though the food was a bit expensive, I appreciated the fact that it was plentiful. They serve us a good size Filet Mignon and three large size quality Scallops. I've been at cheaper restaurants of this type that the amount of food left us with much to be desired and a bit hungry at the end. But not here. We felt totally satisfied at the end. Our Chef had a warm and welcoming personality and made the dining experience a total pleasure. As the evening went on several other tables were filled, and this was good for it being a Tuesday. In conclusion, I highly recommend this restaurant for its cleanliness and the beauty of its exterior and interior design, creating a suitable environment appropriate to enjoying a wonderful presentation and Japanese meal, provided by a very friendly and talented staff.

After reading many online comments about this Asian family-owned restaurant business that…read moreunfortunately had to close down a while ago due to a fire; comments like "I love this place and check every weekend to see if they are back." Comments about how good the food was there, of how when they drive by they missed stopping for sushi and hibachi, of how they really hope they re-open, about how they can't wait to see this place re-open, about their awesome food and awesome people, I myself couldn't help but wonder how special this place must have been to so many members of our community, and to also hope that they renovate it and that they have a successful re-opening real soon. Today, I found out that they indeed did have a re-opening two weeks ago, and as soon as I did, I headed over there to try it out. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was how the restaurant was reasantly painted and had new signs: one on a pole close to Williamson Road, and one of their name with their characteristic red font on top of their roof. Colorful banners also were hanging from the roof to the walls of their front patio, and a red OPEN neon sign was flashing from the front wall of the restaurant. After I noticed the entrance was on the side of the building, I went in. The interior design was simple, yet warm in the minimalist style, with large artworks along the walls of the restaurant. Up front was a long counter starting with the Host's station with a computer and the rest with a Sushi station where two Sushi Chefs were continually making Shushis. A very kind Asian lady host gave me a warm greeting, took me to my table, and handed me the menus. She took my drink order: a glass of Iced Tea. And my appetizer order: a Pork Egg Roll and an order of Coconut Shrimp. The items were so fresh. The Pork Egg Roll was very crispy oh the outside and soft and juicy in the inside. And the Coconut Shrimp was one of the best I've ever had. The batter was light yet crispy so as not to overwhelm the shrimp taste, and the sauce that came with them was amazing. They brou As my main course I had the Teriyaki Filet Mignon and Scallops. It came with fried rice, and they also served me a salad after I finished the appetizers. The Filet Mignon was very tender as well as the Scallops, and cooked just right, just as were the vegetables that came with them: zucchini, onions, and mushrooms. And the Egg Fried Rice was also unbelievably delicious. As I was eating I had the privilege of observing the two Sushi Chefs making the Sushis. They came out as culinary masterpieces and the servers walked by me taking them to the customer'stables.. The view of the sushi made me want to return to enjoy some of them. It was only 5:30pm and the restaurant was already full. I was very impressed with the great numbers of customers and by the efficient customer service they were receiving by the servers, who all seemed to be Asian. My server was also very nice and hospitable. She came to check on me at the appropriate times and even answered me some questions I had about the restaurant and its owner. Even though the restaurant served Japanese Cuisine, the owner, the Sushi Chefs, and some of the servers were Chinese, with the Chefs trained in Japanese Cuisine. At the end I asked my server for the dessert menu. She told me that they didn't have dessert for now because since they opened two weeks ago, the restaurant was so full that they decided to hold on serving desserts for now to accommodate the volume of customers wanting to eat there. I invite the readers of my review to view my photographs accompanying this review to get an even better sense of this outstanding restaurant which I definitely highly recommend and will be returning soon.

It was nice having Asian cuisine in the heart of southern West Virginia. We looked around yelp to see what's appealing for lunch. My friend gave some suggestions and we ultimately ended up here at Wasabi Fusion. We arrived here around 12:30pm after hanging out at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine earlier that day. The restaurant was particular dim lighted and only the daylight from the outside illuminated the inside. There were a few tables occupied while we waited for a table. We ended up getting one almost immediately. Our time spent here was about an hour or so. We got ice water first before deciding on what to eat for lunch. The menu was pretty simple and extensive at the same time. I ended up getting the fried rice because it was simple yet delicious at the same time. Plus, ultimately, they gave enough to satisfy my hunger and appetite. We spent about an hour here from start to finish, enjoying some downtime between being on the road and the evening ahead of us. The staff here was friendly and fast. They gave us ice water first before allowing us to decide what we wanted for lunch. It was a typical thing. The fried rice I had was good and delicious. I also had a side of French fries, which ended up being crispy and awesome. Better than McDonald's and other leading fast food chains. I enjoyed dining in here especially due to the ambiance and atmosphere here. Very quiet and pleasant to just be in here. Definitely worth coming here if you're in the area and want something else than your typical all American fast food fare. Consider coming to this Asian fusion restaurant to explore more options for your favorites in south West Virginia. Who knows? This might be the hidden gem you're looking for! The overall experience here at Wasabi Fusion in Beckley, West Virginia was very nice and welcoming. It was interesting to see Asian restaurants in West Virginia when it's uncommon. I enjoyed the service especially when it's friendly and fast. While that is usually typical anywhere, West Virginia friendly is always welcomed here. The prices here at Wasabi Fusion is competitive and around the same prices as you'd see anywhere. $13 for a Chinese entree and $6 for a sushi roll. Almost the same price strategy for anywhere in a big metro city or a small town. And of course, 4 to 5 dollars for side order of french fries. It is cool that an Asian restaurant is in West Virginia. I felt at home because obviously I grew up Asian and felt akin to the cuisine that they serve here. The restaurant itself is clean and definitely want to visit if you're in the area and not wanting any more of the stereotypical fast food American cuisine. This place serves up wholesome food that can be healthy. I like the service here which is awesome. For the most part though, the experience was typical yet comforting at the same times. It was nice to have some Asian comfort food in southern West Virginia when you don't see it often enough regularly or represented in the region. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and very satisfactory. And so, if you're looking for something better, consider coming down here to Beckley and find this delicious oasis. Might be the hidden gem of southern West Virginia you'd find. Wasabi Fusion Asian fusion restaurant is located in Beckley, West Virginia. It's one of the few places in the state that has good Asian cuisine that I've been to so far. They're physically located at 114 New River Drive in Beckley. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a good chance you'll find good parking spots here. Best bet would be to come here early enough to secure your preferred parking. If you like me, invite a friend over for lunch if you have friends to live in the area, I don't mind to join you for lunch. There is very limited of a transportation options for anybody and everybody who needs that. But to be sure, best bet will be to have a car or rent one if possible. And then, of course, there is Uber or Lyft or your personal convenience, but ride sharing services do cost a lot of money, especially in rural areas where maybe a handful of drivers are there when you want something on demand at a particular time. And so, if you're in the area and want something different than your typical road trip fare, considered the wasabi fusion Asian fusion restaurant in Beckley, West Virginia. It's definitely a place where it is uncommon to find an Asian fusion restaurant in south West Virginia, but it's always a nice place to have lunch or dinner wherever your travels may take you. 4.5 stars for the overall experience. I visited the restaurant with a friend for an early dinner. We found it to be very clean with an modern and elegant decor, setting the mood to what would be an extraordinary dining experience. Food is ordered at the counter. where a young man who seemed to be the son of the owner greeted us with a smile and took our order. My friend ordered the Sesame Chicken served with Fried Rice. And I ordered the Hibachi Steak and Scallops served with Fried Rice and Vegetables. We both ordered Iced Water to drink. After paying with a credit card we went to be seated at the table of our choosing. While we talked and enjoyed the beautiful decor of the dining area, the food was cooked and prepared by the chef and personally brought to our table by her with a very hospitable attitude and warm smile. No fancy plates but the portions were huge and the quality of the food was superb, and cooked just right. The fried rice was so moist and flavorful that it was one of the best I've ever had. And the meats and scallops were quality items and delicious. So much so that I didn't have to put any other sauce on them, but ate them as is, so juicy and tender. My friend did try the Yum Yum sauce over his Sesame Chicken and told me that this homemade sauce was the best. As we left, the lady owner made sure to thank us with a smile and say goodbye for coming. And invited us to come again in the near future. In conclusion, I take pleasure in sharing with the readers of my review, this gem of a restaurant, and highly recommend this restaurant as a place to go to enjoy an extraordinary dining experience with family or friends.
