This might sound crazy, but the best meal I had in Portugal was at Yak and Yeti. After days of eating heavy, salty and warm (not hot) food, we wanted something hot and with more spices. Those who love hot (temperature) food and have been in Portugal will understand what I am talking about. Saw this place and decided to give it a try. We were a party of 6 and very hungry so we ordered the fried momos, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, rogan chicken, pork chow mein, chicken biryani and the regular and garlic naan. The staff was super friendly and the food came out quick. Every single dish was amazing! Exactly what we wanted, perfect amount of spice. My favorite dishes were the rogan chicken and the chicken biryani. Definitely a must in Lisbon! We kept talking about the meal even after coming back to the U.S. You will not be disappointed, highly recommended! read more

Holy f- finally some hot foods in Portugal- this place is sooo good I'm about to cry. The mango Lassi is on the yogurti side but not bad. The noodles, chicken masala, pot sticker , nan bread, omg I am so grateful for this place. Sorry Portugal- I need my hot foods- I'm not used to room temperature stuff- fish can only go a long way- herbs here and heat here is my sweetest recovery. Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but it was recommended to us by staff from another restaurant we ate at the previous day. Let me tell you the food & flavor did not disappoint! We ordered the Chicken Momo, Garlic Nan, Mixed Briyani, and Chicken Rogan. The food was full of flavor and the portions were perfect. Our stomached were full but we did not want to stop eating. No question, this was the best food I had while in Portugal! The palak paneer and garlic naan were so good. I ordered the veg thali and everything with a medium spice level and it was perfectly hot. This restaurant is fairly small inside and seats 4 people to a table. The portions were smaller than expected and the food took a long time to come out but it was definitely tasty. I enjoyed the mutton curry, which paired really well with their garlic naan. Being a garlic lover, I would have preferred more garlic but the naan came out hot and was very light and airy. We were walking back from the castle in the late evening, wind was blowing and we were still feeling the great lunch from Time Out Market and an afternoon stop for coffee and a pastry. Read the menu posted outside and spouse liked the lighter option of a noodle soup. I had not had spicy food for close to 20 days, so I was craving for that. I ordered the curry chicken which comes with rice, briyani-like as it's not sticky. Spouse chose the home-made noodle with spinach, carrot and peas. She also opted for spicy, but it was also peppery. If you are familiar with the 'assam' taste, that's it. She loved it too the last spoonful. My chicken curry was perfect. I had informed the very friendly waitress that I wanted it prepared Indian style, not Nepalese. The curry had and cube portions of chicken. But the curry was thick, with onions and spices. My stomach was completely satisfied and happy. I had to finish the rice to finish the curry, if you know what I mean! read more

Wanted to drop a quick review for this great restaurant we tried on our recent trip to Portugal. We were extremely pleased with this restaurant. The staff was welcoming and provided prompt service. The food was truly top notch and I developed a love for the kukuri beer that they served. The food was affordable and the quality far outpaced the price. I've never had Nepalese food before- this food was sooo good. I cannot speak to authenticity. The chicken dumplings had great flavor/spice. Chicken, onion and spices- maybe cumin? And the dipping sauce tasted like peanut butter and spices. The curry was exceptional and with substance to it- not just sauce. The chicken Thali set (platter with little bowls) was good. My favorite was the one that looked like curry with chicken in it. The others were each good in a different way. My favorite thing about trying new food is the interesting flavors. The service here is incredibly slow. We waited almost an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived the vegetarian thali I ordered was cold. I could have been good if it was served hot, as the spices were nicely balanced. The garlic naan was good too, however there was a hair on it. The atmosphere of the place isn't that great either... everything lit by neon lights, cheap interior. Upside that it is quite cheap. But wouldn't go again. read more

Just WOW! I've never had Nepalese food before and I was not disappointed! I got the fried soybeans to start. They were amazing. Perfect combination of spice and lime. I don't remember what number it was on the menu (maybe 16) but I would totally recommend it. Next I had #102 and oh man, it was great. I can't say enough about the food, but the service was also fantastic. Only 22€ for two people (appetizer, naan, 2 main meals, and 2 beers), which is such a great deal. Again, WOW. The service is great and the servers are kind and avail themselves for inquiries about any dish being served. Highly recommend the butter chicken, which tastes nothing like the tomato and butter sauce you normally get-- they make it with a delicious coconut sauce that is perfectly spiced. 5* Next day, meal #2: we were charged for an appetizer we did not order....we thought it was a gift from the kitchen when it arrived, because they were happy to see us for a second night. Tiny and clean hole-in-the wall place with friendly service and super delicious Indian food. I'd definitely be a regular here if I lived in Lisbon. Excellent chicken korma, coconut rice and garlic naan, among other things. This is a nice spot for lunch if you are visiting the area and feel hungry.
