Garlic Nan (came with 4 dipping sauces not pictured) & the chicken momo!
    Ashley P.

Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but it was recommended to us by staff from another restaurant we ate at the previous day. Let me tell you the food & flavor did not disappoint! We ordered the Chicken Momo, Garlic Nan, Mixed Briyani, and Chicken Rogan. The food was full of flavor and the portions were perfect. Our stomached were full but we did not want to stop eating. So happy this was recommended to us.

This restaurant is fairly small inside and seats 4 people to a table. The portions were smaller than expected and the food took a long time to come out but it was definitely tasty. I enjoyed the mutton curry, which paired really well with their garlic naan. Being a garlic lover, I would have preferred more garlic but the naan came out hot and was very light and airy. I also tried their lamb tikka but found the meat to be a bit tough. The chicken biryani was flavored really well! Actually, all of their items were seasoned well and had lots of flavor.

    I will take this.

Just a great little place with Himalayan type food. Currys and other great food. Quaint and seems family operated. Not fancy but beautiful presentation and flavors. We had dumplings, Curry, and more and will go back when we return in April hopefully!

Awesome curry chicken (bottom pic) and vegetable noodle (top pic).

We were walking back from the castle in the late evening, wind was blowing and we were still feeling the great lunch from Time Out Market and an afternoon stop for coffee and a pastry. Read the menu posted outside and spouse liked the lighter option of a noodle soup. I had not had spicy food for close to 20 days, so I was craving for that. I ordered the curry chicken which comes with rice, briyani-like as it's not sticky. Spouse chose the home-made noodle with spinach, carrot and peas. She also opted for spicy, but it was also peppery. If you are familiar with the 'assam' taste, that's it. She loved it too the last spoonful. My chicken curry was perfect. I had informed the very friendly waitress that I wanted it prepared Indian style, not Nepalese. The curry had and cube portions of chicken. But the curry was thick, with onions and spices. My stomach was completely satisfied and happy. I had to finish the rice to finish the curry, if you know what I mean!

Fuck Ramiro. Alright, maybe go there once, but if you're sick of tiger prawns, crab mush, barnacles and sardines, head over to Graça for a taste of Nepal (and India?). What an awesome find. Nice and clean, delicious food, wonderful service. The menu is extensive, so you'll have plenty of options. If you're traveling and have no mobile data, bid that conversation goodbye because there is free wifi. A well-deserved five-star review. Thank you, Yelp algorithm.

Pretty good food. Great prices. Had naan, momo, and 2 drinks and dishes for about €30. Very nice people who work there

Chicken momo- comes with 8 but we ate two before I remembered to take a picture. Sooo good.

I've never had Nepalese food before- this food was sooo good. I cannot speak to authenticity. The chicken dumplings had great flavor/spice. Chicken, onion and spices- maybe cumin? And the dipping sauce tasted like peanut butter and spices. The curry was exceptional and with substance to it- not just sauce. The chicken Thali set (platter with little bowls) was good. My favorite was the one that looked like curry with chicken in it. The others were each good in a different way. My favorite thing about trying new food is the interesting flavors. This was NOT a disappointment.

Went on a weeknight and there were a few tables open. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Food was outstanding. The titular momo is worth an order or more; think steamed dumplings. The real stars of the starters were the Aloo Jeera (sautéed potatoes with onion, simple but incredible) and the Chana Chat (delicious chickpeas with just the right firmness, texture, and taste). If you like spice, try the Tea Momo: braided steamed buns which are bready and bland on their own, but the perfect vehicle to soak up the juicy, spicy vegetables that come with it and really pack a punch. The Chicken Curry, on the other hand, was not at all spicy as expected, but still subtly layered with rich and satisfying flavors and some of the best I've ever had. The Thukpa, traditional Tibetan noodle soup, was another tasty choice. A nice break from traditional Portuguese food, and some of the best in the city overall. Also, when the bill came my dad called it "reasonable" -- which is his way of saying it was really cheap. Would be worth twice the cost!

I would definitely recommend the stir fry-- it was very tasty. The momos are a south Asian dumpling that were worth a try. You can choose from chicken, pork, and vegetarian. Being Indian, the food was very similar in terms of taste, but portions and servings could've been better. The dishes came in little copper pots that were fairly small, and you have to order the rice separately, and also the naan. Again this is probably an American thing where the curry dishes come with rice, but still worth noting. Not only were the portions small, but they also didn't have many pieces of meat or paneer in them. It was basically like 1 per person. Which is unfortunate because that means there is basically more curry than anything else. Taste wise it was great, and they were very accommodating for the kids spice level as well as brought out a sample dish to ensure it met the adults spice level also which was very much appreciated so it could be enjoyable for all. We ordered the chicken tikka for the kids which they loved, and the chicken karai (it was spicy but good), garlic naan, lamb korma, and the saag paneer. The waiter was nice enough to explain to us the different spice levels and differences between Indian and Nepalese food so we could order accordingly. Great staff, very polite, the place isn't fancy or very big, just a family business. However we finished all the food and would suggest you try it out if you're in the area nearby.

Well, I found one! Get ready to have your socks blown off! This is the stop you too have been searching for. Located an a quiet side street is the best Nepalese food you might find in Lisbon. Extremely small, limited seating, and extremely kind service will have you ooohing and awwwwing like me. So much so, I ended up ordering way too much food because I wanted to try a ton of items. I ended up with the butter chicken, garlic and cheese naan, and some fried pork buns and the best coffee I have had in a very long time. After seeing…read moreseveral "Nepalese" style restaurants on our Lisbon excursion (to my surprise/delight), I was pumped to get some of this food. On our way out of the city, we stumbled across this little gem near the Alameda Metro spot and the Parque Fonte Luminosa! After walking around Lisbon during the early hours of the day I worked up quite the appetite ;-) This authentic spot really satisfied my yearning for Nepalese food and left me wanting to try everything! I descended the few steps into this cute little establishment and was greeted by a very lovely Nepalese native. She spoke English and was able to answer my questions. Because of time constraints, I ordered the food "for take away". The plato do dia was a great option for during and included the entree with rice, a bottled cooler drink (wide selection), and (a strong enough to out hair on your chest) coffee for €6.50. There were four options: a chicken mango dish, a shrimp curry dish, vegetable korma dish, and tandoori chicken. All sounded intriguing but I chose to have the shrimp curry HOT style. Yes, you can adjust your spice preference here which I discovered much to my delight :-D The food, although quoted 12 minutes, came out in half that time. While I waited I selected my beverage from the cooler case and had the small cup of coffee that accompanied the meal--no milk and sugar on the side. After that, I was wired for the day. My meal came out piping hot and I even was able to get a plastic utensil to take (rare in Europe). I positioned the sturdy take out bag in my shoulder bag and when I got to the international bus station it was still contained in the bag which I appreciated (no leakage). When it came time to eat my meal (half an hour later) it was still warm and delicious--full of tender yet not mushy vegetables and succulent shrimp without heads or tails for me to remove (sissy style-the way I expect). The curry was red in color and had an excellent spice profile, it was hot without being overly H-O-T. Portion was a good size but left me wanting more. I would definitely revisit the Nepal Curry House next time I visit Lisbon. If I lived there, I'd be tempted to eat here 3x a week for sure! Thank you, NCH, for exceeding my expectations! :-)

So I threw on some clothes and stumbled out of my AirBnb without any ideas other than: must get food for breakfast and then food for dinner. Afterwards, I saw Himchuli across the street and thought to myself, "Self... when is the next time you'll get the opportunity to eat at a Nepalese restaurant in Portugal?" And boy and I am happy I did. The food was flavorful and spicy. Not spicy-hot, but spicy-tasty. The deer meat was tender and succulent; the okra was extremely prepared; and the red wine the owner recommended was spot on. While the venue was empty, I didn't mind because it was late on a Sunday night and the owner gave me such excellent service. I cannot recommend this place enough. This will definitely be one of the many reasons I return to Portugal. This place is officially at the top of my list. Americans beware, though, neither my credit cards nor my debit cards worked. However, the owner guided me to a nearby ATM where I was able to pull out cash. And upon my return, I see the woman who helped me at the Indian corner store. We decided to walk to this little gem because it was close to our apartment and we missed Indian/Nepali food. I am so so glad we did because it was one of the best meals on our entire trip. Walking up, it has a modest appearance. There is a full menu outside with an English version. Inside are several larger and a few small tables seating 2-6 people. The ambiance was cozy and warm. We chose a small table by the window to enjoy a street view. The waiter who was handling all of the tables himself was an absolute pleasure. He was accommodating, sweet and extremely polite. He offered food recommendations and brought us English menus when asked. We ordered the chicken momos, lamb curry with lentils and okra with tomato curry. We asked for everything to be extra spicy. The food took a little time to come out but everything was delicious. The momos were seasoned well, spicy and the owner(?)/waiter(?) even brought us a spice tray to add more. The dough was perfectly chewy and thick without overbearing the filling. The okra was divine. Soft, perfectly cooked okra paired with spicy and acidic tomato in an extremely aromatic potato curry. Finally, the hearty lamb. Again, the flavors were all there, with tender boneless lamb in a lentil stew that gave it a boldness not usually found in lamb curries. Multiple times, the waiter/owner checked on us but he was never overbearing. We enjoyed our dinner immensely and want to go back again ASAP even though we only have a few nights here. That's how good this place was! Must-try for all lovers of flavor.
