If you only go to one restaurant in Lisbon it should be this one. Literally the best food I have ever had in Europe. it was delicious and flavorful.

Daal - solid preparation

Really solid Goan/Indian food in Lisbon. Meat was cooked perfectly tender (and authentically, bone-in). Their one dish they advertised as very spicy (Hadd Mass) probably approaches a "medium" in India, but still, much spicier than what you can normally find in Portugal! The Catreal de Frango was very good, really fresh tasting curry with the coriander. The Daal was very well executed. Prices were reasonable, it's cash only but there's an ATM about 100 feet away. Would recommend if you're craving Indian in Lisbon!

Was not expecting to find Goan food in Lisbon but after reading some reviews, had to give it a try. Would go back just for the Holy Burger but prob get a couple per person.

Chamuças de Carne - meat samosas

Delicious!!! Netflix's Somebody Feed Phil was right! CALL AHEAD to make a reservation. They were nice enough to squeeze us in. Get the Holy Burger! And the meat samosas and the Bhajipuri. Bring CASH. No cards.

Signature dish - I had to order a second one!

We finally made it to this wonderful Lisbon restaurant in March. We didn't have a problem getting a table the night we went. It was fun and delicious. The server was very helpful and friendly. Jesus arrived later in the evening but we didn't get a chance to speak with him unfortunately. When in Lisbon - don't miss.

Ridiculously amazing lunch - including one of the best bites of food I have had in recent memory - have the bhajipuru! Good golly! Our son Xavier (10) Absolutely loved The Holy Burger such a wonderful way to start our vacation and our youngest sons BDay. Save some room for the Bebinca cake it is amazing! We will be back 100%!! To Jesus : If any of your team come to San Francisco hit is up you have friends there now for sure !

I was watching one of those food travel shows on Lisbon a few months back, and this place came up. Had to try it. So glad I did. It's hard to conceptualize Indian/Portuguese fusion, but it's one of those things you will always remember, and Jesus é Goês is going to be my regular spot from now on anytime I visit Lisbon.

Wow! Delicious! Make a reservation in advance! We were lucky to stop by when they opened for the evening and grabbed a seat before a reservation came in. Very flavorful Goen food. My husband's family is from Goa so we were really excited to eat here and try it after watching 'Somebody Feed Phil' . His family cooks a lot and his grandma makes her own spices from scratch. We know good Goen food and this steps up to the bar. Staff is friendly and even brought out pineapple when I could not take the heat. ( sorry , I'm a medium heat girl) My husband did just fine! Thank you for a great meal!

My wife and Jesus. Who would have ever thought? :-)

I genuinely think this place fed me the best meal of my life. Can't imagine ever coming to Lisbon again and not eating here. Still in shock!

It was not…read moredifficult to find and, in fact, perhaps easier to reach by foot than by car, since it was located in a nicely kept urban cul-de-sac. Parking looked like it might be at a bit of a premium. The storefront was in a walk-up, turn-of-the-century style facade with a warm and inviting appearance. The entry area was narrow with tables lining the walls for 3 or 4 meters, which then opened into a larger seating area with a decent capacity and a full bar overlooking the floor. The decor was conducive to a nice, relaxed ambiance. There also might have been another level to this establishment, but I did not explore that possibility. I was seated quickly and without any fuss in the narrow area of the restaurant, which was a little quieter than the main portion of the dining room. It was moderately busy and I found the less populated portion of the room to my liking. My waiter tended to me fairly quickly and did a good job during my entire visit. The menu tended toward Goan regional specialties, which was a nice twist. That is not something I often find and it is also ties the menu to their Portuguese location. I decided to try the Chicken Chacuti, a Portuguese influenced dish with coconut, ginger, garlic and other spices. I had never had this before, but it sounded quite intriguing. I opted to accompany it with rice and Peshwari Naan. This combination was wonderful as the sweetness of the bread offset the slightly spicy tone of the main dish. I was generally quite satisfied with my fare. I finished this with a decent Masala Chai. The total bill was €25.30, which included my main and the accompaniments, a glass of house red, a water and the tea. I thought this was reasonable considering the quality of the fare. This was roughly $28 USD with the exchange rate at the time. If you are in the area and fancy Indian fare, I would not hesitate to recommend this spot.

We started with paneer tikka and chicken tikka--both came in generous portions and were freshly made. The chutneys paired really well and added to the overall flavor. We also had a bottle of Piano red wine, which surprisingly worked quite nicely with the food. For the main course, everything was delicious. Standouts for us were the butter chicken, palak paneer, biryani, prawn curry, and garlic naan. The food tasted very fresh and well prepared, and you could tell care went into each dish. Service was fast despite the size of our group, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, everyone had a good time--especially the kids. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great food and warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend for both small and large groups!

I had the meat and seafood thali, both were good, but I definitely preferred the meat one. Chai isn't on the menu, but they said it we'd available when I asked. The chai was also quite good and in a really cute pot. One thing that could have made it better though is if the pot had better insulation, the tea got cold really quick.

For anyone the watches Old Looney Tunes Cartoons, this is what I was thinking when I ate my desert which consisted of carrots!!! I know real Hasenpfeffer is rabbit stew before everyone starts pointing it out. I was just pointing out the hilarity eating a carrot dessert that was warm and extremely tasty and for a desert probably healthy too. My brain just made the connection and i just started laughing. Anyway the food here is absolutely good and really a nice surprise considering how tired I was from traveling, carrying a backpack and a heavy carry on suitcase up all these stairs trying to get to my place of rest. Lisbon's got some hills which I will continue to refer to them as ball busters especially if you're running uphill. I stuffed my self with lamb Nan and a spicy lamb curry along with Lentil soup and a Masala Cha. This was on October 6, 2025 and I'm just posting this now because it was in my drafts. It was late when I got there but the waiter was very nice. Upon looking at the receipt, I can't see the discount I was supposed to get for mentioning my hostel recommended this restaurant. Oh well. I was tired and loopy. Not sure I remember which pictures are Rogan Josh and Gajar Halwa. I'm guessing one of them was the spicy lamb curry and one is the dessert?
