They are definitely the best restaurant serving Indian food. Our group was very diverse and everyone enjoyed the food. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The portions were pretty decent and they start off the meal serving pappadoms with chutneys. The taste was not authentic but I guess they have to make do with the ingredients they can get. It was a great evening and the best meal of the week for sure :)

We were visiting Lisbon for 36 hours at the end of our Italy trip. We were looking for some home cooked food. Having been to Goa in India I was really excited to try Chicken Chacuti which is a Indo-Portuguese dish. Each time I visit a new country I also must try my staple Chicken Tikka Masala. The Chicken Chacuti was very unique with great flavors, I could taste the ginger, coconut and spices. I could have handled a little more spice...we finished this one off. The Chicken Tikka Masala was decent, my suggestion is to not have so much spice on top of the dish as a garnish, instead cooked in and blended. This created much of the spice in our mouth as whole pieces which was not pleasant. Service was great, we were in a hurry to catch a flight and they accommodated to us and had the food rushed out. Great Wine and Beer selection. The garlic naan was delish. I would give this place a try again and try something different and order the Chicken Chacuti again!

We were seated right away. The atmosphere was nice, not dimly lit. We ordered chicken tikka masala it was on the bland side and the chicken was tender and delicious. The chicken Korma was sweet, unusually sweet (the server did note it was sweet). We also had plain naan and it was great. The mango lassi was terrific.

Looking for a decent restaurant near my university, Yelp suggested that I should take a look at Passage to India. Me and my guests were pleased to have done so! This nice looking restaurant serves Indian dishes. The starters were really amazing. We had chickenbits, which were still moist and had fantastic flavour; and a very light and fresh dish made out of yoghurt, coriander, fresh union and crispy flakes (of which I forgotten the name of). The main dishes (we all had a curry dish) were not exceptionally, but good enough of what you might expect from an Indian restaurant. Also, the service was excellent! Very, véry friendly people and no long waiting. The only real downside I thought was the TV: the sound was off and it showed nothing of importance, so why bother putting it up there, I thought. But for the food and service, you certainly should give this a go!

Great vegetarian options. I ordered the chilli panel with tandoori naan and found it so delicious I decided to order another serving!

We started with paneer tikka and chicken tikka--both came in generous portions and were freshly made. The chutneys paired really well and added to the overall flavor. We also had a bottle of Piano red wine, which surprisingly worked quite nicely with the food. For the main course, everything was delicious. Standouts for us were the butter chicken, palak paneer, biryani, prawn curry, and garlic naan. The food tasted very fresh and well prepared, and you could tell care went into each dish. Service was fast despite the size of our group, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, everyone had a good time--especially the kids. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great food and warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend for both small and large groups!

I had the meat and seafood thali, both were good, but I definitely preferred the meat one. Chai isn't on the menu, but they said it we'd available when I asked. The chai was also quite good and in a really cute pot. One thing that could have made it better though is if the pot had better insulation, the tea got cold really quick.

For anyone the watches Old Looney Tunes Cartoons, this is what I was thinking when I ate my desert which consisted of carrots!!! I know real Hasenpfeffer is rabbit stew before everyone starts pointing it out. I was just pointing out the hilarity eating a carrot dessert that was warm and extremely tasty and for a desert probably healthy too. My brain just made the connection and i just started laughing. Anyway the food here is absolutely good and really a nice surprise considering how tired I was from traveling, carrying a backpack and a heavy carry on suitcase up all these stairs trying to get to my place of rest. Lisbon's got some hills which I will continue to refer to them as ball busters especially if you're running uphill. I stuffed my self with lamb Nan and a spicy lamb curry along with Lentil soup and a Masala Cha. This was on October 6, 2025 and I'm just posting this now because it was in my drafts. It was late when I got there but the waiter was very nice. Upon looking at the receipt, I can't see the discount I was supposed to get for mentioning my hostel recommended this restaurant. Oh well. I was tired and loopy. Not sure I remember which pictures are Rogan Josh and Gajar Halwa. I'm guessing one of them was the spicy lamb curry and one is the dessert?
