Great location, right opposite the entrance to San Jorge Castello. This is a hole in the wall that can accommodate may be 15 people utmost. They serve Goan food which is a mix of Indian and Portuguese. This was our first time eating Goan food and so was not sure what to expect and we asked for descriptions of the curry from the owner. He was not too talkative but gave us enough information to make our selection.
We ordered Dhal with Naan and Samosa for appetizers and really enjoyed them, both were very tasty. For entree, we ordered the vegetarian curry which is served with white rice. The Goan veggie curry itself was quite different from other curries that we have had.
I imagine the seafood options to be tastier and more in line with Goan preparations than veggie food but it is not a bad place to stop by for veg food either. read more
