This is a cozy neighborhood eatery in Bushwick, Brooklyn that opens early and closes late. Thus,…read moreits name. My daughter and I stopped in a couple of hours after sunrise. Wow. There was a steady line of people seeking breakfast. My Lox Toast was a thing of bright pink beauty. Anyway, it was delicious. The capers gave it some punch. The meal was filling, but I wasn't stuffed. The coffee is good, too. I got the house coffee with almond milk. This eatery is a great find.

Also on the weekends they do NOT allow laptops which is a huge bummer, but I understand they want to curate a different vibe. Random but the bathroom is actually decent and usually v clean (although quite dim), unlike bathrooms at other coffee shops that can get scary at times. I echo other reviewers and wouldn't recommend the matcha here, but have enjoyed my Americanos and chai. Cardamom bun and Everything croissant are S tier. I haven't tried any of the other food items, but I have seen a lot of people that seem to be enjoying hearty sandwiches and salads which are always a nice chance of pace compared to only baked goods that are usually offered at coffee shops.

The joint is packed and buzzing with a wall length bar, live music in the back. We're specifically here to see our dear friend, Frank LoCrasto and his way cool band XOTICA. They are fantastic and fabulous! LunÀtico was founded by musicians with an aim of combining sophisticated cocktails with a funky music scene, whilst encouraging patrons to support artists through donations. Here, one can enjoy a wide range of music, like jazz, rock, punk, house, calypso, reggae, folk, pop, indie, samba, etc. on a nightly basis. LunÀtico receives praise for its unique vibe, serving quality bespoke cocktails with some delicious tapas off the small menu. Please kindly observe my photos. + +Get your groove on! Wishing you all a fabulous Spring ahead weekend. Do enjoy sleeping-in an extra hour on Sunday. However, good luck on Monday morning. Thank you for reading!

The owner even participated in wine selection and serving food Now let's get to the food.... INCREDIBLE!!! From the Olives to the Caesar salad... taste buds going crazy! Friendly greetings all around, but please turn up the AC. That pizza oven is hot. Nice, small and reasonably priced wine list. Started off with the Pizza Bianca, which while crisp and hot, could have used some seasoning, or cheese. Or both. Caesar salad and tomato salad were both first rate. Would honestly go back for the tomato salad. So fresh! Pastas and trout were all excellent, especially the Mezzaluna. Very nice portion sizes as well. The dessert menu was sparse and not especially enticing so we skipped dessert. They should do better. One other issue for me: when there are leftovers to be boxed up, I strongly believe that the server should do this as a matter of course. This server, like way too many others before, just handed over boxes for a "DIY" experience. If you expect a tip of 20% or more, this is what is expected of you. If you don't want a large tip, then please go ahead and hand me a box. All in all, we would definitely return but hope to see some important changes.

I'm so happy that this restaurant is just a 2 min walk from my apartment. The food here is amazing…read moreand the ambiance is nice and peaceful. Food and alcohol is fairly priced and food is flavorful/well seasoned which is hard to find in a Japanese restaurant. The service is quick and food didn't take a while to come out. We ordered shishito peppers, corn ribs, beef sukiyaki, pork belly wrapped enoki mushrooms, and Miyazaki a5 Wagyu hot stone grill. * Shishito peppers 5/5 My favorite out of everything we ordered. It's a MUST TRY! The sauce it's in has yuzu so it's nice, savory, a lil sweet, a lil sour, and a little citrusy - it's perfect for my tastebuds. Literally could not get over how good the sauce was. It also tasted good to dip the corn ribs in that sauce!! * Corn ribs 5/5 Grilled corn ribs with seasoning and cheese, super simple but super tasty. Can never go wrong with corn ribs! * Beef Sukiyaki 5/5 Nice and flavorful broth, the meat is tender, there's also a knot of clear noodles at the bottom of the bowl. * Pork Belly Wrapped enoki 5/5 GOOD. Who doesn't love pork belly AND mushrooms (only crazy people) ?! Amazing flavor, nice and smokey, with crunchy enoki mushrooms * Miyazaki A5 Wagyu 5/5 Good, nice to order once just to try since it is a little on the pricier side bc it's A5 Wagyu, personally I'd rather go to an A5 Wagyu restaurant if I want A5 Wagyu. Nonetheless, it was nice to try! This was enough food to share between my sister and I, without feeling overly full and bloated. Definitely will be coming back regularly since it's so close to home.

Tora I think is a true jack of all trades, while many restaurants try to excel in one area I think Tora does amazing at multiple. It's good for sushi, ramen, noodles, etc. Just an overall really well-rounded japanese spot. I think their serving sizes are also very good. Though I'll say I don't think Tora particularly excels in one thing it's not going to be the best ramen or sushi you've had in your life but, for something that's close? Affordable? Has no line? It's definitely the best. Very above average in every regard. Haven't eaten here in person so can't speak on their service but at least their food? Great get pick-up/delivery all the time

Check out the negative reviews below where the restaurant's management defensively responds to…read morereviews they don't like. It's a hoot! Note to Management: TAKE THE L and learn from the feedback, how about that? Also, side note: if you are *not* providing cloth napkins you are *not* a fine dining establishment. If I could give no stars, I would. This review will echo what many low ratings have already pointed out. It ultimately doesn't matter that the place has a kind of cool/retro vibe/design. This is a restaurant that has ZERO concept of hospitality. Like absolutely zero. It's like, if you want to be treated like crap as a paying guest, this is the place to go. 4 members of our party of 7 arrived 10 minutes early. They were permitted to sit at the bar (the bar is for reservation holders ONLY). 5 minutes later, members 5 and 6 arrived. They would not seat us at our table until the 7th member of the party arrived. Patently absurd. Our server, Michael, was nice enough, explaining to us how to order family style from the menu. Personally I found it a bit patronizing but that's probably just me. Drinks service was noticeably slow (this is important to note for later in this review). The food was fine/delicious - only the Char Siu pork, garlic eggplant and Beef Chow Fun were decent portions for family style dining - and the Char Siu was room temp. Here's where things got wild (especially in light of the slow drinks service) - WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING OUR FOOD our server Michael sidles up to the table - I'm on the end, and he's standing next to me. He announces that our reservation only has 15 minutes left in it - they expect us to finish eating and drinking within the next 15 minutes!?!?!? He follows this up with an offer to wrap up our food to go. ... I'm the only person who actually hears him say all this in the noisy restaurant so it falls on me to communicate to my table mates what our server just said. ... So, 15 minutes later he shows up to take our money - he'll only split the bill into two even though we're 3 couples and one singleton. They AUTOMATICALLY tack on a 20% tip and yet the machine offers you the opportunity to tip even more. The food was nothing to write home about and no one needs the militant attitude when spending hundreds of dollars dining out with friends. I humbly suggest you GO ANY PLACE ELSE for your fine dining experience - this place does not deserve to stay in business another day longer. Oh - and as others have noted- THERE ARE NO DESSERTS HERE. Don't come here for a birthday or any kind of celebration where you'd usually have a dessert.
