When I was there, they had a DJ playing, and it added energy without being too loud or overwhelming. The Service was very good, the waiter answered and helped with all our questions. The food was absolutely amazing really flavorful and well done. Just be a little prepared that most dishes come in smaller portions. But the quality definitely makes up for it. I ordered the paella, and it's easily enough for two or even three people and it was well worth it. Really delicious. The drinks were also definitely worth trying while you're there. The only thing I wasn't big on was the desserts they didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. But overall, great atmosphere, excellent food, and a fun experience. I'd definitely come back.

From the moment I walked in. I liked the ambiance. Very cozy, home feeling. Not loud, nice music…read moreplaying and mild lighting. I went at night. The woman(greeter) at the front was very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing! They had actually just closed the kitchen but a gentleman named Kaylor (K) came over and said they would make what we like on the menu. It was so kind and very accommodating because we was very hungry. We ordered Moroccan Lamb Meatballs with warm grilled pita bread, Bangkok Shrimp, Burkes Sliders which was larger than your average slider bursting with flavor. I couldn't believe how good the food was. It was a last minute find on a Friday night ,a true hidden gem. The flavor, seasonings, just each meal had a unique taste and was cooked to perfection. You could tell they use good quality meat and ingredients. They have a full bar with seating on the side of the main dining area. The cocktails were amazing. Very well blended. I had 2 drinks Malibu Bay Breeze and a Margherita. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Yummy!!!! I left there very pleased .

I can't speak for any of the other food, but I am willing to guess that it is also delicious. The restaurant is a cute casual local spot. The restaurant ambiance & service was impeccable; white table cloths, warm bread with butter while you wait, MASSIVE portions, amazing quality. We ordered a pitcher to share of Sangria that was the BEST sangria I have ever had (I'm now ruined for any future sangria lol), and easily equalled 4 drinks. My plate was the salmon special, stuffed with avocado, drizzled with lemony, buttery, delicious valenca sauce & served with perfectly steamed veggies & piped mash potatoes. My husband ordered the Veal Parmesan for a twist as his fav is chicken parm & it was perfectly seasoned, giant portion & served with linguini & red sauce. Both were big enough to be easily shareable. They sang to me and presented me with a scrumptious birthday flan... that I also shared! Parking was a breeze & valet quickly got us in & out. I felt like a VIP Princess from start to finish. Valenca made this a very special birthday meal to remember & anytime we find ourselves in the area, popping in will be a MUST. Did I mention how beautiful the restaurant is? The entire night was like a perfectly curated event & I couldn't have asked for more!

Ummm, flying into EWR and too lazy to drive far for dinner before heading south to my hotel,…read more Valenca sounded interesting. On a Monday evening, it was certainly busy at the bar and in the small dining area. Surprisingly as entree prices seemed to average around $30+. Unlike many restaurants in Portugal, the olives and bread are complimentary which was a nice touch. I opted for the seafood stew with the tomato broth and "lobster ". With the slow service, I was hoping that it would be made to order. However, a large bowl with overcooked seafood arrived. I had to ask for a bowl fir shells and a Nutcracker with hand wipes appeared too. Lobster was a small claw, the middle section which doesn't offer anything edible and a tiny sliver of tail meat. Wish I had remained with the garlic shrimp dish that was so amazing during a trip to Portugal. Service was inattentive, I had to stand up and request my bill. Anyhoo, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, great neighborhood vibe!

Then the appetizer- we had the shrimp with garlic sauce, the chorizo and the grilled octopus. All 3 as if we were in Spain. Entree's all were accompanied by vegetables rice and chips. We had the cod, red snapper and halibut. Then we split a chicken Piaya - the house specialty. Having had piaya in the past it seems to be overwhelming rice but this was not. Great balance of ingredients sauce flavor and rice. We tried a couple of the sauces on the side for the fish and while excellent- they were not necessary as the fish was excellent on its own. We also enjoyed a flan for dessert and cafe and cappuccino. Considering the amount of food we had and leftovers I thought the price was quite reasonable. All servers and matre di were dressed in formal black and white and the room was a formal dining area. Truly enjoyable. We'll be back!

It was a large salad. Very tasty. Could have been more chilled. It was cool at best. I ordered the Paella Marinera. It was huge. Definitely shareable. Came with a half lobster, muscles, clams, and squid. It was really tasty. I usually have a pretty big appetite, but I could not finish it. After dinner, we order the flan and the pumpkin cheesecake. Both were good. Service was excellent. Multiple people handling the table and very attended. I highly recommend. Well visit next time I'm in the area
