I was here with my daughter while the boys were playing basketball. This is her second time and she definitely raved about this chocolate croissant since her last trip. It's a very kid friendly place. The host is amazing. She knows her stuff. It's a cute little coffee shop on the way to Oakland airport or if you're here for basketball games it's like we are definitely give it a try.

I had the pleasure of visiting Yafa Coffee for the first time earlier today. The workers were friendly and efficient. I ordered their Yafa iced latte which is a delicious latte with pistachio butter lining the cup. I asked for it made with almond milk and topped with vanilla cold foam which was delicious and creamy for 50 cents extra. My latte was delicious and quick to come out. I would certainly come back and try some of their other drinks. It wasn't very busy inside but decorated beautifully and clean. I hope that they get more business!

The Jubani was beautifully spiced and hot and the basbousa was sticky sweet perfection!

Very clean shop, delicious pastries, nice customer service & decent prices on good coffee! Extra bonus points for having tons of outlets to charge devices & a super clean bathroom!

The baklava pastries are moist, have the perfect balance of sweetness and softness. What better than to balance with a cardamom coffee. Conveniently located by a gas station and the airport, this is a perfect place to conclude a trip to the East Bay.

This is a new cafe run by the nicest couple. They have wonderful desserts-- especially the Dubai chocolate croissant. It has fresh strawberries and layered chocolate, and is the most delicious dessert. Also worth trying are the Yemeni coffee specialties, which have cardamom, ginger, and chai. Clean open space, would be good for working. We will definitely be back!

I've gone 3 different times I always get the same thing. The first two times the Yafa iced coffee was perfect but last time I went it was a little watery. Still good but not the same as usual. The workers are nice and supper clean inside. Definitely recommend!

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

=== Incredible coffee and food. Great vibes ===…read more First, awesome experience. Second, I hate that I keep finding these experiences an HOUR away from where I live. Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

The Marketing Trap is Real (But the Service is Great!) I had…read moreabsolutely no intention of stopping by Peet's today, but their marketing team definitely knows what they are doing! I got a "spend $6, get $3 off" promo in my app since it had been a while, and it lured me right through the door. My goal was to stay as close to that $6 mark as possible to practically get a freebie. I originally ordered a large drink and a pastry, but when the total hit $12, I had the barista knock the drink down to a medium to save a few bucks. After the discount, I walked out spending $8. Sneaky marketing--they got me to spend money I hadn't planned on! For my order, I tried the Iced Lavender Vanilla Matcha. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the spot, so I only drank about half of it. I also grabbed a Lemon Blueberry Danish. Now, I have a personal rule about "open-air" pastry cases--if food is sitting out all day, it's an open invitation for gnats or flies to dance all over it! Usually, I prefer when they pull a fresh one from the back wrap counter. When I noticed the barista pull mine straight from the display, I asked her about it. She was sweet and assured me everything was fresh and they didn't have a gnat problem right now, so I decided to take a chance since she was warming it up. Sadly, the danish wasn't very delicious either, and I only ate a few bites. Even though the food and drink were a miss for me today, I still love coming into this Peet's. The atmosphere is always so incredibly calm and peaceful, and the baristas are always so friendly, upbeat, and polite. I'll definitely be back for my usuals, but I'll probably pass on the lavender and the display case next time!

Haven't been here in years, and I'm so happy to see they're still here and thriving. You can feel…read morethe thoughtfulness behind this place. It gives off such a welcoming, community-centered vibe -- like they genuinely want people to come in, enjoy good food and drinks, hang out, relax, and just have a good time. I was indecisive while ordering because there's just too many goodies to choose from and IK that can be annoying, but we had great service because the guy that took our order was patient and seen that my struggles was most definitely real . We ordered mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, curly fries, and two large Thai teas -- one with green apple jelly topping, which paired sooo well to me hehe. We don't eat out much because we cook at home nowadays, so when we do, we wanna enjoy the classics lol. It's actually really cool seeing how the place has evolved over the years. The very first time we came, the back area looked like this cute little library/study hall/tutoring/game/hangout room. Then a couple years into the COVID days, it turned into a unique snack and gift shop vibe. Now it's this awesome mini arcade/lounge setup with comfy seating, sports on TV, and really great food (savory & sweets) and drinks. And the food is SOLID. Even on my last mozzarella stick, I still had a cheese pull -- and it had already been at least like 20-30 minutes. That says a lot on the quality. What also makes this place stand out is the little acts of kindness. Part of their service is while we were already getting busy, grubbing, they randomly offered us a complimentary yummy, soft, and fluffy eggette on a stick with their condensed milk sauce, which gave me that feeling like how a love one would just randomly give something very sweet just because. I don't go out much anymore, but if I'm craving for some outside sweets and treats oh and almost forgot to mention how pretty affordable for the quality and portions we got for our meal, I'm def bringing my nieces n nephews here when they visit! I love the different chairs, décor, games, ambiance, food, and drinks! They keep everything so clean, neat, and organized at the station from where you sanitize your hands, grab your napkins, straws and condiments-- it genuinely feels like there's something here for everyone. You HAVE to find at least one thing you'll enjoy here!
