I liked that they were ready for us with no delays. I don't remember my masseuse's name but she was very good and got all my tight spots. After 11-plus years living in downtown Chicago, I moved in with my Warrenville-based boyfriend just…read moreover a year ago. Massage has always been part of my self-care routine--when my body really needs it and I can afford it. We both gave up on Massage Envy years ago, when the prices kept going up, the best masseuses kept leaving, and the quality of the overall experience cratered. So I was on the hunt for a reliable place near us that wouldn't cost a fortune. After researching a bunch of places, I decided to give Spa Oasis in Naperville a try. And I'm so glad I did! Yes, it's in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside. And yes, you won't be getting the fancy amenities of a spa. But you will get a blissful massage at a great price. A 90-minute deep-tissue massage for $115 is a shockingly good deal. (I paid close to $200 for 90 minutes at the fancy Chicago spa I used to frequent, making it a luxury gift I treated myself to only a few times a year.) Spa Oasis accepts walk-ins, but they also have a booking tool on their website that lets you select your preferred staff member (provided she's working that day). This is where things get a little frustrating--and why I'm giving Spa Oasis four stars instead of five ... Even when you request a specific staff member, you won't always get her. (We both love Sunny, so we always book a day/time when she's working so that one of us will benefit from her magic touch.) But the past two times we went in for a pre-scheduled couples massage with Sunny, neither of us got her. :( We also have regularly experienced the service disruptions other reviewers have mentioned, where one of the masseuses leaves in the middle of a treatment to answer the phone, direct a walk-in to come back at a later time, accept a delivery, etc. It would be great if they had a dedicated staffer to handle the administrative stuff so the masseuses didn't have to. That said: We are STILL talking about the massages we got a week ago from Lucia (the owner) and Tina. WOW! I've also had great experiences with Annie. As one of the other reviewers said, I want to go every single day. If only!

I had a rather disappointing and distasteful experience following my initial review that is worth…read moresharing as a cautionary tale to others. I visited and after having a pleasant first experience, I received an offer to purchase a package. I did so. With one remaining, I received a message asking me to book the last one soon. Options were limited so I selected what was available. A day or so later, I had death in the family so I canceled. The appointment was canceled four days in advance. I received a reply asking me if a week later at the same time would work. I indicated it wouldn't and that I'd contact her at a later time to reschedule. Agnes replied with. "Make sure you schedule asap. I'll get busy during the holiday season and will not be accepting the package next year". When it was purchased, an expiration was not mentioned or provided at any time. Upon hearing this, I pointed out that no timeframe was given and it appeared to be offered as a way to retain new clients. I also explained that this arbitrary decision was self serving and sent at a very difficult time for me. I went to explain I was dealing with death in the family and asked Agnes to put me down for ANY time between Dec 26-31 and I'd be there. Or, given the exchange. I offered to have her refund me via the method used (Zelle). To be clear, Agnes did NOT schedule me as requested and she did NOT return the money. In response to the comment below:: I told her I couldn't talk much more due to grief and she continued to send long paragraphs as if it was a lovers quarrel. I reminded her of her repeated pleas for "good" reviews and stated that this misleading and self serving practice is something others should be aware of. It's how others make informed decisions. I waited to see if she'd do the right thing and she didn't. ... I contacted her with my Zelle info on 5/21/2024.

This massage place is honestly one of the most unhygienic businesses I have visited, and I would…read morestrongly advise people to think twice before booking here. The owner speaks very little English, making it extremely difficult to communicate what type of massage you want or address any concerns. When customers are paying for a service, basic communication should not be this challenging. The cleanliness is unacceptable. The massage beds are not properly maintained, and the face pillows smell like old saliva, dust, and body odor. Even more concerning, the staff do not appear to wash their hands between clients. I've observed them leaving one room and immediately entering another without washing their hands. They massage your feet and toes and then use those same hands on your face. They also handle money and payment transactions and then proceed directly to touching clients. That is simply unsanitary. The massages themselves are not particularly good. During facial massages, they use an excessive amount of lotion, to the point where you feel more grease and slipperiness than actual pressure or muscle work. The entire experience feels rushed and poorly executed. The owner is also extremely pushy about payment. She insists on charging customers the moment they walk through the door, regardless of whether they are returning clients. On top of that, there is an additional surcharge for card payments, which feels excessive and unnecessary. There are far better and cleaner massage establishments in the area. I will not be returning.
