About me: I work on a 9-5 sit-down computer's job and I go boxing 3x/week. Therefore, my shoulders and neck gets very tight and I'd constantly have to crack them. It was hurting really bad that I need a massage ASAP. Massage: I told Cindy where my body aches/hurts the most before she begin to massage me. She focused on my upper body and neck. During the massage, I can feel how her magical hands are doing wonders in my back. I like the lotion and scent that she uses, not too strong or fragrant. After a week: I am not able to crack my neck and shoulder anymore (that's a good sign). Let me start by saying I have never written a Yelp review, but I felt that it was necessary to bring attention to the best massage therapist I have ever encountered. Thank you Cindy for providing the best massage I have ever received! Cindy started our session by asking questions about my problem areas and areas I'd like to focus on. I really appreciated how thorough she was to make sure that the massage was customized towards my specific needs, rather than giving me a generic massage. Different body types require different techniques! I also appreciated that she was able to adapt to my different levels of pressure that best suited my needs. Very attentive and thoughtful! I can handle more pressure on my back/shoulders but not as much on my legs. She was very accommodating and made sure that I had a great experience from start to finish. Not only was she able to provide me an amazing massage, but she also suggested different techniques and postures to help relieve stress on my back. I've received my fair share of massages, and Cindy is undoubtedly the best. It is evident that she is truly passionate about wellness and therapy for others. I currently live in Los Angeles but I would love to visit Cindy again anytime I am in Chicago. Well worth the drive from the city and every single penny! I also love the decor in her space. Cindy is very professional and her place is super relaxing. I decided to treat myself for Mother's Day and Cindy took great care of me. The pressure was perfect and I left feeling like weight was lifted off my shoulders. I typically don't like spending much but Cindy's is worth every dollar! Just received the best massage of my life from Cindy. Everything from start to finish was great. Her studio is tastefully decorated, making for a relaxing setting to get an A1 massage. This review may be a little long, but stick with it. I made a 90 minute appointment for a deep tissue massage. When I arrived, I told Cindy my issues; my lower back was very tight and and my trap/neck also very tight. I also told Cindy that I could handle whatever she was able to throw at me (bad idea on my part). Once the massage started, I realized that this was less of a massage and more of an exorcism. About 40 minutes in, I am certain that Satan himself departed from my backside. Whatever Cindy was doing, Beelzebub wanted nothing to do with it. When the massage was over, I did nothing but lay there. I felt as if I was dropped from a airplane and bounced along a mountain-side before impacting the ground. I was beat to hell - and that is exactly what I wanted. Two hours after my massage, I could do nothing but lay in bed. The post-massage soreness & malaise attributed by a REAL deep tissue massage was upon me. This morning I woke up and felt like I had the flu (headache, body aches). My body is in total shock - again, exactly what I wanted. My muscles are in shock, I am standing taller, my joints looser, and my tight muscles less tight. If you lift heavy weights, if you are an athlete, if you don't do the things you are supposed to do like stretch, book your appointment with Cindy now. Cindy knows her stuff! Cindy is incredible! I get a lot of massages, and this was far and away one of the absolute best. I asked for deep tissue and, wow, did I get deep tissue. I actually had to ask her to ease up once or twice, which was a first for me. Cindy talks through what you want first, and then seriously delivers. The stretching at the end was great, too. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by Cindy with a refreshing glass of water. I filled out the paperwork and was led to a room filled with candles and a nice scent of aroma.
