Don't rely solely on the overly positive reviews. I did--and it gave me a false sense of security. My real experience was the exact opposite. I am angry, not just disappointed. From the beginning I repeatedly raised concern about a potentially serious medical issue and asked for appropriate workup. It was dismissed, and I was sent to an inappropriate specialty. Only after seeing another department did I finally receive the correct, more targeted testing--and the results were clearly abnormal, confirming that my concerns were not "just anxiety." What I cannot forgive is what happened next: despite abnormal test results and imaging findings, I repeatedly requested an urgent specialty referral. Instead, referrals were repeatedly incomplete or failed--sent as a generic "joint pain" note with no supporting details--so the receiving specialty clinic could not triage or schedule me. While my symptoms progressed, I was trapped in preventable paperwork and coordination errors. If you need routine care, maybe it's fine. But if you have a serious, time-sensitive concern, think carefully. No one should have to fight this hard just to get an appropriate referral. read more

Dr. Ling Xu is one the the most attentive doctor we ever met. Others don't like her style because she like to order blood test before she gives you diagnosis. For me, I think that is a good idea. She does not like to guess on what is really going on with her patient. What better way is it than not knowing what is going on in your body internally before prescribing drugs for you to take. It is better for her to know the root causes of your illness and blood test can help her to get a starting point with her diagnosis. She can then at least rule out the worst or act upon emergency matters internally if there's any in a timely manner. Dr. Ling Xu's staff are also very friendly and helpful. We love her style. Aweful experience.... the doctor wasn't really showing a welcoming attitude nor the staff that works for her. Was asking for the blood and urine test result but got a different document. Had to ask again... wouldn't recommend it. read more

I don't usually review Dr's on Yelp, because, well none of us like to share with the world what our issues are and who we are seeing to help address them :) But I did notice that two reviews had been posted about Dr. Xu that I did not agree with. First, both reviewers who gave one star have no identity, no picture, no other reviews, and no friends. It seems a little suspect... So I would definitely consider that in your decision to use Dr. Xu. I have seen Dr. Xu for several years and for a variety of reasons (she is my primary, after all). She has always been thorough with me and very detailed in addressing my concerns and questions. There have been times when I have called and spoken with her on the phone during business hours, times that I called and left messages for which she has returned my calls by the end of the day, times that i was able to get an emergency appointment squeezed in same day, and times when they have called me back when a cancellation occurred. Point is, the office has been flexible in accommodating me and responsive in communicating with me. Yes, Dr. Xu asks for testing to be done. I am confused as to why the other reviewers seemed to pinpoint that as an issue... I would be concerned if a primary Dr wasn't asking for blood work to include in their assessment or have on file. I changed my health plan and found Dr. Xu is in my network doctor, On April, I made an appointment with Dr. Xu for Annual check up and I also emailed her my last year lab results for reference, she asked me a few questions and sent me to do some lab test, two months after, I received a bill in amount of $327 for New Patient Visit. I called her office to discuss that my appointment should be an Annual check up, it should be 100% covered by my insurance company. Dr. Xu's staff said this is a New patient visit, not Annual check up, I need to another appointment if I need do an Annual check up.... It seems like Dr. Xu is very desperate to have patients go back over and over. So Beware of Annual check up appointment and NEW patient appointment. Patients Beware!!! read more

Patients beware!! I went to see this doctor today as a new patient for annual check up and a a possible Pep test. First thing was the usual, check weight and blood pressure by the nurse then came the doctor. She ask me a few questions and asked me to go get some lab work done and that was it. She didn't check anything. I asked why she didn't check my breast or stomach just like a normal female yearly check up? She said next time. When I asked why she said wait till the lab works are done. This doctor refuses to take credit cards if under $20 and charges a fee. That is against the contract with the credit card company, and is a major irritation for patients. Especially elderly. Keep in mind this is the level of consideration this doctor has for her patients. read more

Office staff and billing staff Horrible. Made many mistakes on my billing, reported my account to collections, when I had spoken to my insurance company and was told they were billing incorrectly. I contacted the office, they of course denied. I had my insurance company call them, denied again. Asked them for the EOB and billing information, told they don't have it? What?!?!?!?! That's seems ridiculous, it's a medical record !!!! Anyway after I did all the leg work, I got the bill paid after they sent it to collections !!! I tried for months to get it paid and they send me to collections after THEIR mistake! Ridiculous. Not to mention, I had extra tests done because the doctor role me herself, "the insurance will pay for these so let's get them anyway..." read more

I have seen her for many years and was satisfied with her. However, I was ill all of last year and while they couldn't find out what was wrong, when I suggested something she jumped all over it, even though I didn't have the symptoms. I also called her during the holidays with severe pain and not only did she have npo one on call for her, she never responded back and it's been a month now. read more

I am not surprised to see the feedback from other patients of this doctor. Here is my story. I stayed with this doc as my PCP for two years and only visited her twice - one year each time for doing the physical exam only. And according to the LabCorp bills, this doctor applied the wrong codes in my lab order. It happened both times after I have had these two visits. Both my health insurance and LabCorp tried to contact with her and her nurses for multiple times but every time they promise us to get it corrected yet what they actually did is just to ignore our requests. After many times of trying, we almost think this doctor is doing this on purpose in order to collect more profits from the insurance and the patients. Till today this billing mistake is still not corrected and the case has been on going for over nine months. My insurance company simply gave up to further contact with them and they advised me to provide the claims as the evidence to show the correct billing on my side if I have received any trouble in the future from the LabCorp. A terrible experience I have had with this doctor. BTW, her service poorly stands as professional. The reason I selected her clinics simply because she's the closest one in my network and she speaks Chinese. You may need to consider carefully when you select her as your doctor for the first time.
