Beautiful job repainting my 1994 Volvo sedan. Honestly, it looks like a new car. I am so pleased.read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My parents brought my car here to get fixed…read moreafter I had a car accident and the whole experience was a NIGHTMARE! First of all, they kept nagging my parents for the money so we could get our car back. We give them the MONEY and the car isn't even done! The first day I got my car back is was OVERHEATING within 10 minutes of driving it. They didn't put the radiator fluid in my car when they fixed my radiator. A couple days later, I'm driving to class and my rpm's are going crazy. They kept going up and down, over and over again, even though I was going at a constant speed. My car ended up STALLING in the middle of an intersection and there was a bunch of smoke coming out of it. They "fix" the problem. A week later, I'm trying to go to work and my car STALLS AGAIN. This time three blocks away from my house! There was transmission fluid leaking out of it. Once again they "fix" it. I was tired of dealing with them. So I asked my parents to talk with them. My parents said that they kept blaming me for "not knowing how to drive the car" (it's a semi-automatic and about 99% of the time, I drive it in automatic. I've switched it over to manual maybe 5 times in the couple years that I've had it, which I know when to switch gears. Even if I didn't know, my car would automatically switch for so I don't mess up the engine). This isn't the end of it. The "splash" or whatever they call it (it protects your radiator from water and dirt when driving around). Anyways, that was broken in the car accident. While I was driving around, I kept feeling bumps and scrapes. They put the OLD and BROKEN splash on my car! Once again saying I broke it because I probably hit something. They blamed everything on me and on top of that, they wouldn't hold themselves responsible for the mechanical issues because they are a paint and body shop (who hired a mechanic to fix the problems). They told us to go back to the insurance and file a claim. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND MONEY! DON'T BRING YOUR CAR HERE!

It's the first car I have ever had painted so I didn't know whether to give them two or three…read morestars. I had a budget(not cheapo) paint job done on my 10 year old, badly sun damaged car and here is my honest assessment of what was done: First of all, Frank and his son are very personable, nice guys, and listen to what you want done. I just wanted the car to look somewhat new again. They told me they could do my car in a week and it took over two weeks. Now, they do not have a drying booth, so they rely on mother nature which is what extended my car's finish time - no problem. When I went to pick up the car it looked great except for two baseball sized spots that were not clear coated properly(weird). They said it could be fixed after the paint settled. After having my car back for several weeks I started noticing problems that should not happen at an experienced body shop: there were a lot of scratch marks in window trim from the buffer, an inside cover piece for the mirror bolts was broken and repaired with faulty cement(not sure why the mirror was removed then I had to fix the plastic plate), there are a lot of sections with orange peel and improperly prepared/sanded base coat. The clear has sections that are thicker than others and there is pitting in one large section. You can see the problem areas through the clear because the clear is very smooth. On a positive note, the bodywork was well done and looks very smooth. There is no over-spray anywhere, so I know the masking was well done. My car looks pretty good from 5 or more feet away, but when you get closer you can really see the imperfections, especially at night with parking lot lights shining on it. I like to give local businesses my business, but I think I got a somewhat amateurish paint job from an established South Side body shop. For what they charged me I was not expecting show-car quality, but I also didn't expect mistakes. I will give them a chance to fix the mistakes.

Good place, have been there for both estimates and repairs. Honest, and they know their stuff!…read moreHopefully nothing else goes wrong with my car but if it does, I'll go back here for sure. Excellent repair on window with broken motor.
