Went to extreme mattress to buy a mattress the mattresses are really nice. They're more reasonable than other places but the old saying is you pay for what you get!!! if you want a mattress to last couple years, this is a place for you. Paul and I wanted our mattress to last more than acouple years so you'll have to keep reading to see where we ended up getting a mattress. God bless Debbie. read more

I have back and hip problems due to a very incompetent pt.that herniated 4 of my discs. I need a firm mattress with a comfort top for pressure points. We have purchased 6 mattresses from Extreme Discount over the years and they have been great so we went there again cause we needed to replace the 10yr old one we had. We ordered the Vera firm.I tried it in the store and it felt great. The one that was delivered didn't feel anything like in the store.I was literally sinking in it. I am a 125lb woman. After 26 days on this mattress from hell I have Extreme pain in my legs and hips and back in physical therapy. I called about this and was told that it could not be returned but we could get another mattress with a discount plus a $75.00 charge. What? The salesman also asked me to check the mattress tag because there's apparently a Vera Firm AND a Vera Plush. Mine said Firm. It was more like a plush.Think it was mislabeled. So we were stuck with it and gave it to our daughter because she loves a soft mattress. They say 30 days comfort trial. Warning , even if you buy the mattress protector for $65.00 you will still be stuck. We noticed after the fact that on the second last page states ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS on merchandise that has already been taken or delivered even if still in factory wrapper or box. The salesman Bill was very nice but also very misleading. As for delivery there were 2 guys, 1 older maybe late 30s early 40s and the other maybe in early 20s.The younger guy was very nice and courteous, the alpha male on the other hand was far from it. A little snippy which in no way I was going to tolerate in my home and made Mr.Alpha well aware of it Wasnt informed that delivery also included attitude. We had been very good customers for years. Never again after dishing out $1000.00 will we ever do buisness with them again. read more

I thought I was getting a good deal on a comfortable hybrid queen mattress in the $500 range for a guest room, but when we started using it daily it lost it's shape and ruptured on both sides in about a year. Very disappointed in the side edge support. There may be good deals here, but learn about quality in mattresses and know what you're buying. read more

We need a new mattress and came here because of the TV commercials. First of all, they may sell mattresses for less, but don't sell any name brands. It's not like a TJ Maxx of mattresses. That was fine, except that the salesman was totally unknowledgeable and couldn't care less. We looked around and asked some questions, which he couldn't answer and didn't seem to care. He appeared slovenly. We went to City Mattress just down the street, in Hamburg and got Ann as our salesperson. She was one of the best experiences we've had shopping for anything. The perfect salesperson. She spent a lot of time with us, recommended mattresses based on questions she asked and genuinely seemed to care that we find something we really liked. We bought a mattress there, confident in our purchase. They also remove the old mattress upon delivery, No thanks Xtreme mattress! You sell mattress for less, and your salesman couldn't care less! read more

I've bought 4 different mattresses from your Delaware location over the past 10 years. Usually the service is ok. Recently went to purchase another mattress and it was like night and day. The mattress is bought was too firm so I tried to take it back for a softer one. When I got there I was told I refused their "comfort guarantee". The So called salesman TOLD me if it wasn't the one I wanted, I could switch it out for a different one within 30 days. I only had the mattress for 10 days. Be careful what your buying and be especially careful what you sign or initial because in my experience it's not the same as they're telling you. Now I'm stuck sleeping on the floor because this mattress is intensifying a medical condition and I can't afford another one. I'll never buy anything from this company again read more

Buyer Beware Bought a mattress from Xtreme Discount Mattress and it was not cheap. Within six months it was sagging over three inches in the center and collapsing when you would sit on the edge. They would do nothing about it! Never again Xtreme. read more

Would not recommend this place. What little you save on the mattress you pay for in the lack of service. They delivered the mattress and were like two bulls in a china shop with no regards to the interior of the house. They also leave all the garbage for you to get rid of yourself including the old mattress and box spring and packaging the new one came in. Left two messages last week with customer service with questions about our warranty and still haven't heard back. No customer service at all. They also advertise Military discount but it is only on certain items. read more

I just purchased a plush, queen size mattress from Xtreme Discount Mattress. I had a great experience from start to finish. The salesman at the Amherst store was pleasant and helpful; I got the mattress and adjustable frame quickly, as scheduled. The delivery men were respectful and friendly. Mr. Costello, is % truthful in the commercials. Prices are the best! My elderly Dad & I had the great experience, and unplanned. We went to purchase a new bed for my elderly Mom who's about to be released from a nursing home later this week, and left saying no way to those prices at Raymour & Flanagan on Walden. While pulling out the lot we looked across the street and I said I remember how much Mr. Costello says they're different, & with better prices. Again, 100% true in the advertisement! We got a better deal, for the same bed as across the street at Xtreme discount mattress. Plus, excellent costumer service! Cal Pendleton Jr. read more

I just want to thank Carmen at the Niagara Falls location who was as wonderful and understanding and helpful as he could be. This is my second purchase from this location and will continue to return. I live the mattress even after our little glitch all was made right and I couldn't be happier. Again thank you Carmen you are truly an outstanding employee that deserves recognition. You are truly an asset to this company. Thank you Amy read more

Purchased a $800.00 pillowtop mattress and had it delivered. I wanted to set up the mattress myself. The mattress came with straps on each side and thinking that they were lifting straps like the $1,400.00 mattress I had in my other bedroom as I pulled on the straps they came off in my hands. Also, the box spring looked like it was made out of balsa wood and kite paper. It is a piece of crap. When I called to complain about the straps the manager told me they were there for decorative purposes unlike my other high quality mattress purchased elsewhere. It's true what they say about their product. THEY MAKE MATTRESS'S WITH LESS, A LOT LESS. It just goes to prove you can't get the quality of a $1,400.00 mattress for $800.00 no matter what they tell you. Do yourself a favor. Save your money and time and don't buy here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This is the worst mattress warehouse. My father is African American and they were very rude to him, then they tell you to come out there and inform you about the mattress. They wouldn't replace it, so my father got me another mattress but I (personally) don't think they are not honest a company so I advise anyone who would want to go here do not believe anything you see on TV related to this company. Keep your money in your wallet and keep your time. Don't come here AT ALL. read more

Disappointed , pay 1000 dollars for a mattress, a year ago , sagging in the middle , waste of hard money !!!

Update on my review. My bed was delivered yesterday, right on time. The delivery men were very friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. This bed is AWESOME !!!!! The best one i have ever had by far. And.....the most inexpensive. I slept better than I think I ever have. I am soooooo impressed and happy with this mattress and with xtreme mattress discount. This place has really got it together. Ron is the best ! So happy. Thank you. I think I'll go back to bed. :) read more

Worst mattress ever I guess you get what you pay for I had this mattress less than 6 months and it is shot sides are blown out and about 4inch sag in the middle it feels like sleeping in a hole I have since purchased a new mattress sterns and foster and should have it tomorrow I'm sure this one will last a lot longer read more

The salesman screwed up my order. It was delivered and was incorrect. I wanted the correct one delivered that same day as I already took off work and the old mattress was in the garage. No such luck and no discount on the mattress. They actually said your lucky we don't charge you a second delivery fee. That's the 4th mattress from them and will be the last. read more

Purchased two Memory Foam mattress sets. Full and King size. The worst ever mattresses ever. They sag so much the centre of the mattress is at least 3 inches higher. Turn them each week but it makes no difference. Of course the sagging didn't begin until after the 30 days. I am not a large person. Such a waste of money! Bottom Line......Save your money and buy from a proper store. Your body will thank you for it. I tried to give this zero stars. The site made me give it at least 1. read more

Just checking out Yelp and am totally surprised at all these bad reviews. I bought a queen set for $399 over 4 years ago and it is still absolutely comfortable. Two years ago, a full mattress for $199 was purchased to place atop a firm futon and it is also as perfect as the day it was set up. Both were bought at the Delaware Ave. location. The sales staff was knowledgeable and courteous. I have recommended the store to numerous friends and family and everyone has been satisfied with both cost and quality. Of course, on both visits I tested basically every product in the store before purchasing. Highly endorse this company. read more

Ugh. What a joke this place was. Figured we'd check this place out in our search for a new mattress set and after hearing they had decent deals. I cannot express how disgusting this place was! The floors looked like they've never been cleaned EVER and had trash on them. The beds? Yeah, those were a laughing matter. I think I've seen better beds by the side of the road. They did NOT look new, they were pilly and disgusting. And the prices? 800, 900 dollars for a no name thin junky bed? No thank you. Do not waste your time with this place unless you want a skeevy salesperson breathing down your neck and feel like a good laugh! read more

Stopped in the transit rd location with my family. The salesman was nice / informative / not pushy. He didn't blink an eye to my sons bouncing from bed to bed. We decided on a mid grade plush firm. We got the set home the following week( had to be ordered). Noticed the box spring was going to be way too high. Called the salesman up and explained our dilemma, he offered a swap out for a " low profile" box spring. I'd give a 5 star but we have only had the mattress set for a week. I'd recommend this place. As far as cleanliness goes - yes it looks like a bland warehouse but my mattress came wrapped in plastic. Between the no-frills store and single man operation = cheaper mattress prices. It's like shopping at Aldi read more

It seems like a good deal on the bed. Time will tell. The customer service was some of the worst I have had in my life. An older woman who should know better and has worked at the Walden Ave. store for a long time. Live and learn and never go back. read more

Since I was desperate for a new mattress, I went to several stores and ended up depressed at how much it was going to cost me to get a new bed. X-Treme Mattress Warehouse is right around the corner from my neighborhood, so as a last ditch effort, I decided to stop in. JACKPOT! Not only did I end up getting an amazing new mattress, but you can tell the construction of this one is SO MUCH BETTER than brand name mattresses at other stores. The sales guy showed us how the sides of their mattresses are surrounded with foam. This isn't the case with low end brand names. They say that the mattresses they have in stock are made in the same facility as brand name mattresses but they aren't formally tagged with the name, so we can buy them for a fraction of the price. I got the queen pillow top mattress, box spring, and delivery for $350 total. I found a waterproof mattress cover at IKEA for $30 (Canadian price), which guarantees the 10-year warranty. They told me the mattress would be delivered in something like 2-10 business days. I bought it on a Friday night, and they were at my door bright and early the following Monday. Yipppppeeeeeeee! They were clean, quick, and pleasant during delivery. Can't complain! Since I've slept on this amazing new bed for almost a month now, my back and neck no longer hurt, and I'm not up in the middle of the night unable to sleep due to discomfort from my old saggy mattress (that's the last ultra plush I'll ever buy!). I'm so glad I came here instead of just settling for some crappy brand name mattress from another store. If you need a bed, get here ASAP! read more

I am giving a review of one star because the place is so dirty. The beds were dirty. And there were some they were close to $3000. And it was very unappealing. If one is going to do a deep discount one should have a much more cleaner place. On the other hand, I was greeted by very friendly sales person named David Marinelli . He was not pushy, he was very informed about mattresses. But unfortunately he did not get my sale because again, the place needs to be cleaned up. read more

We bought our mattress from the Walden Ave. location. The salesman was very helpful, asking us a lot of questions. My husband has degenerative disc disease and I have bursitis in my hips. He suggested a firm mattress with extra back support and a plush top. We tried it out in the store and it seemed great. The delivery men were very helpful and courteous in setting up our new set. The first couple of nights it wasn't great but we figured we just needed to get used to it. It only got worst from there. This mattress is so soft you can push down on it and almost touch the underside and we can't find any section on the mattress that feels like it have extra back support. I honestly don't think they sent us the same mattress that we tried in the store. It would be great if they gave you time to try it out like some of the other mattress stores do. I wouldn't recommend this store if you have specific health issues and you need a mattress to accommodate such issues. read more

Extremely disappointed with this company so far! I purchased a queen mattress and frame at your Batavia store on 2/22/17. The salesperson David asked when I would like to pick it up and I said that Saturday, 2/25. He said, that it would be there. Got rid of my old bed, got a friend to meet me there with a truck on 2/25 and was told the mattress was sold out. Apparently David didn't check if they had it in stock and no one bothered to call me to tell me they were sold out. Then, I was told they would get a shipment in that week so I called that week and was told the shipment would be on Tuesday. Today is Tuesday, I called and now they are saying the end of the week! In the meantime, no one has bothered to call to tell me about the delays, I just find out every time I call. It's been 13 days now that I've been sleeping on my couch and STILL no mattress! Poor customer service and I would not recommend this store to any one! read more

We visited 3 of Xtreme Discount stores. Niagara Falls, Transit Road and Delaware Ave. They are definitely no frills. But, who needs frills?? I was looking for a good deal on a comfortable mattress. We purchased our mattress from the Niagara Falls store a few months ago. The price was right and they delivered it within a few days. They have a great 30 night comfort guarantee and at the end of the 30 days, we went back to reselect a different mattress. The one that we originally picked was too soft. Since we were closer to the Transit Rd store, we went there. The salesman at both locations were very friendly and helpful and the Transit Rd location suggested that we go to the Delaware Ave location - they have a larger selection. They do indeed. We reselected and couldn't have been more happier with the service and selection. In other reviews, people are bad talking this place saying that it's drab and dirty - I wouldn't say that it's dirty, it's just not a high end store. BUT - I didn't want to pay for a high end store - no fuss, no frills, just a store front and mattresses. THAT is the point!!! They keep their overhead low so they can offer lower prices. Not rocket science. I highly recommend them if you don't need to be pampered and prodded to buy a mattress. Our salespeople didn't pressure us, answered questions and couldn't have been more friendly. Honestly, check them out - what do you have to loose?? except $$ at a higher end store. read more

Got a hybrid mattress from the Walden location in February I was told by the sales person it was probably the softest in the store and is good for side sleepers which I am in the store it was really comfortable and the first few days/weeks or so really comfortable but then all of the sudden just recently it's not that comfortable anymore I don't know why but my first night on the mattress I loved it it was really comfy didn't toss and turn could stay in one position and be comfortable the whole night no waking up with neck or shoulder pain like on my previous 10+ yr old mattress but now it's not as comfortable anymore I wake up with a sore shoulder and or neck and I don't know why and yes I tried both my old and a new pillow to but the mattress it self just isn't as comfortable as the first few days/weeks they should have like other mattress places where they have a x amount of nights to try it and this mattress was around $500+ I mean I'm not really blaming the store hence the 3 stars because it could be just me but if they really want to make their customers happy have like I said have a x amount of night money back trial read more

Xtreme Discount Mattress - Mattresses Near Me - Hamburg, New York

My husband and I arrived at the Hamburg NY location at about 12:45 on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately. We described the mattress we were interested in and were shown their mattresses. We found a mattress we liked and asked about delivery. Delivery is an extra $50, and although they had the mattress we liked in the size we needed in stock, delivery was not available for 2 weeks. We informed the salesman we would discuss it over lunch and return. He shouted at us on our way out the door we would pay more somewhere else blah blah. Actually metro mattress came through with a better mattress for less money FREE delivery in 2 days read more

I purchased two mattress in the fall, along with an adjustable bed. I also purchased (very expensive) mattress covers that I was told i needed to use in order to comply with warranty. We did not even sleep on them all winter (we were in Florida) and they are piling all over. When I spoke to customer service, I was first told it wasn't covered because I didn't use the mattress pad. when I finally got through to them that I USED their mattress pad, the story changed to it isn't covered under warranty. Very rude customer service. They do not honor their warranty. Product is falling apart already. I should have read the reviews before doing business with them read more

I bought a mattress here for around $1000 last year. The price did not include a foundation, which I already had. It is the lumpiest mattress I have ever owned. I have never encountered a more terrible and rude sales person. We purchased a higher tier mattress from them and the springs busted in the center creating what my boyfriend and I referred to as the "crater" after 5 years. When I called about the warranty, the man on the phone said I had to bring the mattress in myself to be inspected, he said if there are any stains that they cannot honor the warranty. So, we struggled to get the mattress tied to roof of our vehicle to bring it in. When we got there we were greeted with the most insensitive human being I have ever met. First, he said their standard protocol is to send a specialist out to our house (gee thanks to whoever answered my 2 phone calls saying to bring it in). Then he went on a rant about the condition of our mattress. He said "look at all your pee stains" and "did you even bother to use a sheet", when the color of the mattress was the exact same as ones on their show room floor. It's one thing to not honor a warranty, but another thing to belittle and insult a customer in such a harsh and unnecessary manner. I will never shop here again and urge everyone else to do the same, the quality of the mattresses is awful, they will make up any excuse they can to not honor their warranties, and they will treat you like complete garbage the entire time. 0's across the board for this place. Update on 4/7/15 As if it couldn't get any worse, after reading my review the owner actually flat out told me I was wrong. I called this store twice and was told twice I had to bring it in myself. I most certainly did not insist on bringing it in, I don't know why anyone would insist on struggling to strap a mattress to the roof of their car to bring in for a warranty they might not even honor. It also concerns me that there was no mention to how hurtful and brash the sales man was towards us. Fine if you don't want to honor your warranties, but do you really have to be that low to insult your customers? As I stated before 0's across the board, including the way you handle a genuine issue a customer comes to you with. read more

Worst experience ever, my fiancé and I went into their Clarence location to purchase a king size bed frame, not only did this guy not have a clue when I asked a few questions about the different materials and what kind of firm/memory foam mattresses lol he just told me I didn't know the difference between firm and hard. Okay so then I ask will this frame fit our current box spring because it is a metal one, not a wood one and he said uhhh I don't know...I assumed it would so I paid him 60$+tax the guy goes to get the frame and while carrying it smashes the light above him! He comes out cussing with glass covering his head in his hair it's falling all over us but I still asked if he was alright because I'm a decent human being.
