When we made our selection, the price was very reasonable and the time before delivery was excellent. The delivery crew was professional, very speedy and polite. The next day, after spending a terrible night on the mattress, we contacted them. We spoke to the manager and we could not have been more pleased with the response we received. Working with him over the phone, it was determined that the mattress was the one we chose but was improperly manufactured. There was 1-1/2 inches of stuffing missing. The mattress was picked up the same day. A temporary replacement was offered but we had not yet disposed of our old mattress so we decided to use it instead. The manager also offered a pad to lay over the old mattress to make it more comfortable until the new one arrived. We thanked him but did not need it. When the replacement arrived, the manager personally delivered it. It was obvious that this one was properly made as it was much larger, height wise, than the other. Before leaving he made sure we were satisfied. Anyone needing a mattress should make sure to visit them before making a purchase. You will definitely not be disappointed.

I told him I was just looking and checking out the different brands, but he was very over-bearing and kept telling me and my girlfriend to lie down on the mattresses and get comfortable. Well, that made me feel so UN-comfortable, that I was totally stressed by the time we walked out. While his prices were a bit lower than some of his competitors, he mentioned he charged for delivery. Meanwhile, this mattress continues to get worse. It simply cannot handle my 122 lb. body weight when in use. They sag very quickly. After doing some Googling, I found out this mattress is best for back sleepers and I can see why. That's the only way to sleep on it without much pain, although I'm a side sleeper and can't get used to sleeping on my back. I told the salesperson that I am a side sleeper so I figured he was pointing me in the right direction for side sleepers. I don't have the money to purchase yet another mattress so I'm forced to live in pain. I never in my life had so many issues with mattresses and I know it's possible to be comfortable because I recently slept in a hotel and at a friend's and had no issues. Prior to purchasing the Saatva and then these two mistakes from City Mattress, I never had issues. Bedtime was a pleasure for me. Now it's torture. Service was just ok. Shante has to be the rudest person I've ever had to deal with when it comes to a purchase. She doesn't listen to a word you say and keeps repeating what she feels over and over. If you are looking to spend your hard earned money on new furniture- do not shop at Lake Effect. Absolutely garbage furniture with a warranty you pay for that they give you nothing but a hard time honoring. I've declined any credit from this store and will continue to share my experience so others are not taken advantage of.
