The guy I usually call when I need my carpets cleaned was not available last-minute, so I turned to Yelp to find another option. I submitted a request for some bids and had three companies contact me, Wagner being one of them. One of the other companies had a lot of great reviews, so they were going to be my first choice. However, I made the request on a weekend and their automated message said I should call their office on Monday morning. But Katie with Wagner Carpet Cleaning was very responsive and was able to book me right then for a Thursday cleaning, which fit nicely into my schedule. I'm putting my house on the market to sell and really wanted to have someone come in and clean the carpets as much as possible. However, I have a puppy and puppies are notorious for stains. We had ALLLL the stains. We also had old stains that were over a year old. It happened at the start of Covid and I just assumed we'd be replacing the carpet anyway, plus, by the time things were starting to open back up again, I knew there was no way those OLD stains were coming out, so I didn't even bother. But then Wagner showed up with their fancy schmancy carpet-cleaning equipment and had those stains out like they were nothin'. (I half-expected to see Katie standing over them with a magic wand shouting something like, "Aguamenti" or "Evanesco," but it was nothing as complicated as that. It was simply some kind of muggle stain-destroying vacuum. Oh, and get this - NO HOSES! I have always sang the highest praises about my "regular" carpet/upholstery cleaning guy, but he always had hoses running through my house and it was so loud and intrusive that I made sure to get my dog out of the way. I'm still not convinced there were no spells being whispered by Katie when I wasn't looking. And there was no reason to get my dog out of the way either. It wasn't horribly loud like the hoses were. The carpets were dry in under an hour, and not only did she love my puppy, but my puppy probably would have gone home with her if I'd let her. Bailey is usually very skittish about new people, but she adopted Katie the minute she walked in the door. We have a rule in our house: if the dog doesn't like you, we probably won't either. Katie passed all our tests! I'm actually downsizing to an apartment with wood and tile floors, but plan to call on Katie for upholstery cleaning in the future, car detailing (she does that too!), and if I ever end up in another house with carpets, I'll be calling her first from now on. We knew that we wanted a darker, beveled, 20 mil layer vinyl floor but we couldn't find the one that we loved. It took us a few weeks to finally decide on a floor that we loved. Only to find out that it was being discontinued. After searching everywhere to see if someone had enough product for us to get the job done and having no luck were heartbroken and ready to settle. A week went by and Mike (one of the owners) started to text me possible floor options. We loved this. It showed that he was looking just as much as we were. We stopped in a couple of times to view them and still no luck. However, Mike and Jennifer never made us feel like we had to make a decision right away!
