I had the most knowledgeable exterminator come to my house as I thought I had termites (kept a few in a plastic snack bag to prove it!). The employee looked at what I had and told me they were flying ants that would not eat wood. He even drew pictures and explained all the differences in bugs and even answered questions from 2 neighbors who stopped by. It's so hard these days to find someone honest and let you save money and give you advice on all the other bugs. I recommend Xtermco for being so helpful! read more

Excellent and quick warranty response to post tenting concerns! Had our 2 story badly termite infested house tented in 2016. Inspector PAUL came out twice to inspect our points of concern when termite droppings were found. Somehow, movement, time and other elements causes this and it wasn't returning termites! Phew! Beware -- Xtermco is a self-acknowledged repeat offender of fraud.  On 4/12/25 I was surprised how quickly Xtermco ground termite service checking Sentricon stations was finished. When I retrieved the paper copy report that was left, it said Xtermco had fixed some stations but found no termites... So I went to take a look.  Determined about 40-50% of the stations were not looked at. The front and  north side of the house were not accessed or serviced at all, nor was the east side of the garage. I took videos that day showing the report and where the house was not accessed and broken stations not serviced.  The videos also captured where stations had not been uncovered from leaves for visual inspection.  Two months later during the next visit Xtermco I watched carefully the entire time. I observed as the same routes were taken as in April and the same areas missed.  Again I reviewed the written report which was left -- it said the stations were checked and no termites found.  I called the  Xtermco office, then went out to discuss as the rep was packing up to leave. I video recorded the conversation.  Recording shows that Xtermco indeed took a route that missed the 40-50% of stations. The Xtermco rep offered to come immediately service those areas but I declined. I called the Xtermco office again to report this. They refunded my year's payment and I discontinued service.  All of this has happened before -- I had the same experience with Xtermco a few years ago. At that time they also confirmed what happened and refunded my year's payment promising to do better. Both times I mentioned that Xtermco's business model relies on trust -- entrusting people to come around your house when you're not there, and trusting them that when they say the machine shows all stations were visited then it is true.  Both times, had I not checked, this could have continued indefinitely (or until termite damage was discovered). I can provide all associated videos and photos of the above. read more

Our house was serviced from Xtermco from Oct 5 - 6, 2022 & we are so extremely disappointed and disgusted with their unprofessionalism. Isn't a fumigation company's sole purpose is to care for your house? Xtermco DOES NOT care for or about your house, nor the people living in it. Xtermco's employees have dented multiple parts of our rain gutters & broke many of our roof tiles. We understand that sometimes mistakes do happen, however, the damages we've endured from what was supposed to be routine for these workers is way too much for us to remain complacent and silent. Please refer to the pictures I've included in this review of the damages; these photos were taken on Oct 7. When speaking with David Miyamoto (Xtermco salesman), about the issue with our gutters & broken roof tiles, he was quick to bring up the contract with no gesture or sliver of an apology. Instead, he deflected this issue and started to ask how old our house was - trying to insinuate that because of the age of our house, the roof tiles must be old too. If that doesn't shock you, maybe this will; he also went on to say how they once worked on another home and "broke 60 roof tiles" and did not compensate those customers either. If that doesn't show you the severe lack of pride & dignity this company takes in their work, I'm not sure what will. The absolute cherry on top was that an employee from this company took it upon themselves to eat sunflower seeds and spit the shells right in front of our driveway, leaving it all for us to clean up. We sent a certified letter to the owner of the company, Derek Yoneoka & it was confirmed that they received our letter on Oct 12, 2022. It has been 1 full week with NO RESPONSE. I implore all those reading this review to please avoid this company AT ALL COSTS. Give your hard earned money & business to a company who actually cares about their customers. read more

This company is horrible. The owner is so rude. We had an appointment at 1:30 p.m. They didn't show up until 2 hours later. I called the company, and they responded, "The workers are running late, not our fault." I understand if you call and let me know that the workers are running late. At least call me and let me know is all I'm saying. Watch out when you get your house tented. They go and look around and try to find things. I have cameras at and in my house. Xtermco was recommended by a good friend so we decided to look into them for our tenting and ground termite treatments. Dave came over and gave us an estimate for both services which were highly competitive. We even got a discount because we decided to go with both services. The ground termite treatment component was Sentracon bait stations. The crew came in the next week and were highly professional and clean. They were in and out so fast it was perfect. Right before they left they asked me if I had any questions and gave me a choice on inspection times and schedules. So I really appreciate that. Fast forward a few weeks and I got my tenting done. I was provided with as many of those special bags that I needed. I actually ran out and made a quick drive to their Waipahu office and was provided more bags. They called the day before to remind me and the next day they called to say they would be 2 hours earlier than expected which was ok because we were all done packing up anyway. The crew showed up and we were out of there. The next day we got a text saying that the house would be ready on the scheduled time for reentry and it was. Nothing broken or damaged and everything looked good. Found a bunch of dead geckos and hopefully dead termites too. Only time will tell if the tenting was effective, but everything went off perfect. I used this company 2 weeks ago & was VERY DISAPPOINTED with the workers. All the work I did to prepare to have the yard ready for the tenting fumigation was for nothing. The tents that were used to me was way to big for my home. It's like you could of tented a 3 story apartment with the tents that were used. They were way over sized. I am not a fumigation company but I have done tenting fumigation for the past 40 years to my home & never saw something like this. I felt the job was done sloppy & the workers did not care about what they were doing. I used Extermco for the first time because I was recommended by 2 friends & now I wish I stuck with who I always used in the past. I understood some of the plants could die with the fumigation but the sloppy work that was done lots of the plants died because of how they tented my home. I also want to say when I acknowledged them in the morning only 2 out of the 6 responded back. So sad no manners. Granted I know everyone is not friendly but I think it really matters to be cordial to your customers. It's all about customer service. I am so sad looking at my plants in the yard that did not have to be dead or half dead due to how the tents were draped over my home. When the inspection occurred with the salesperson this was not in the plan of how the tents were going to be laid over my home. I worked so hard at moving plants, rocks, gravel to make it easy for the fumigation company I felt I did most of this for nothing! I was told I needed to clear the path for the tents to be laid. Well why they did not even lay the tents in the areas I cleared for them. To make things worse they even covered my mailbox which was uncalled for! This was NOT in the plan or I was NOT told this would happen from the get go of the walk through with the sales rep when he came & walked me through what would occur during the fumigation. I could not receive mail for 2 days because of this! SO UNPROFESSIONAL if you ask me! I also want to let everyone know when the tent fumigation was done & tents were removed I was not home & came home right after it was removed. I discovered MY OWN ladders MY PROPERTY was used!WHY????? What company does this!!!!! I'm sure they must have there own ladders they did when they came to put the tents on the day before. Why was my property being touched! How did I know this? Oh they could not even have the decency to use it & put it back where I left it so I would not know they used it! NOT this crew they left the 2 ladders that they used from my property up in the yard! AGAIN WHO does this! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Then to top it off when I was finally able to go into my home A worker from this company USED MY MASTER BATHROOM! AGAIN WHO DOES THIS!!! How do I Know this? My master bathroom was last used the morning of the fumigation. I got ready in that master bathroom that morning & I know I did not use that toilet! In my home my toilet seats are always closed down. We have rat problems so I have made a point to always have the toilet seats always closed. Well there was no MEN in the house for the past 3 days prior to tenting & I myself got ready in the master bedroom the morning of the fumigation. I had my clothes to change into on top the toilet that morning. I DID not use that toilet that day. When I was able to go in the house after the fumigation that late afternoon my master bathroom toilet seat was up how a MAN uses the toilet! AGAIN WHO DOES THIS SO UNPROFESSIONAL! It really made me think what else was done behind my back or taken or touched with out me around or knowing! I would NEVER recommend this company because of this! Granted I'm sure my home was fumigated properly after all the plants proved it was fumigated. This is not the point I'm trying to make. The point is THIS COMPANY has UNPROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES! How hard is it to get your house tented?? Well, apparently very hard if you choose Xtermco. We contracted with Xtermco to do our termite tenting and sentricon several years ago. When it came time to tent again, it made sense to go with them again....wrong decision. We originally booked our tenting appointment for a day in August. Although it was a perfectly sunny and calm day, when they showed up they said that they could not tent the house because it was too windy. Too windy??!!! There was absolutely no wind. Because it was so busy, the next date that we could reschedule to was in October. Although they were scheduled to come in the afternoon, the morning of the appointment they called and said that there was a cancellation and that we needed to get out in 5 minutes as the guys were coming. That was impossible since we hadn't even packed our stuff yet. Unfortunately, when they showed up, they again said that they could not tent the house because it had rained in the morning. They were unwilling to return in the afternoon (during our previously scheduled time) because they had a big job they needed to get to on the west side. After complaining to the office, they agreed to return in the afternoon. Instead of sending the tenting crew in the afternoon, they sent a manager "Ralph" who another poster perfectly explained as having a chip on his shoulder. Although it was hot and sunny and dry as a bone, Ralph said they would not be tenting because the roof was too slippery. Slippery?? It was super dry and I have been up on the roof several times, in slippers and it has never been slippery. Super frustrated as we have packed all of our food twice, took off work twice, and made arrangements to stay somewhere else twice, only to have Xtermco come up with excuse after excuse as to why they couldn't tent our house on the scheduled day. Xtermco treated us as if we were expendable, especially if they had other bigger jobs to get to. And at no point did anyone from Xtermco ever apologize for their failures. We're cancelling and moving our sentricon contract to another vendor as well (luckily--found out that Sentricon is more affordable elsewhere). Xtermco will never get another dollar from my family. Good luck if you go with Xtermco. Hopefully you have lots of vacation days to spare. read more

The fumigation service manager, Ralph Y, is someone that shouldn't work directly with the Xtermco customers. This guy has an extremely large chip on his shoulder. On the day that our fumigation was scheduled, I asked Ralph if he could make sure that no one else besides his authorized personnel entered our unit. His reply was a smug Oh we no do that kine stuff. I attempted to explain why I was making the request and was told smugly, I don't know what you heard, but, you heard wrong. There is actually more to the story, however, I'm sparing y'all the long drawn out version. Here's the really sh*tty part about Ralph. I have a Ring doorbell and it recorded our conversation and his smug replies. After my fumigation, I was looking through my recordings and after I left, Ralph had the nerve to call our board president and tell her that he and I had gotten in to a big fight. Big fight? THERE WAS NO BIG FIGHT!!!! He lied about other things too in an attempt to demean my character. Additionally, he wasn't aware that we had cameras in the house and I watched as he put his dirty fan on our new sofa and kneeled on the sofa with his dirty work clothes so that he could plug his dirty fan in. How disrespectful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When he came the next day to retrieve his fan, he again got on to our sofa and YANKED the cord out of the wall socket. No respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what he has done in other people's homes. I reported these incidents to his supervisor, Derek Y, and told him that I had evidence of everything that I was reporting to him and I never heard from him again. In the local culture there is usually no accountability when it comes to people that have worked together for a long time. They will defend their co-workers whether they are right or wrong. It's so annoying!!!!!!!!!! I was born here but right is right and wrong is wrong. Even my kids know that I would never defend them if they were in the wrong. I like these guys better than the other guys. I feel managing, training and maybe customer service lacking especially with the "tenting team.". The office team does a good job. I spoke with Fumigation Manager about my recent tenting issues...,.he was a disappointment. He has to manage his team better...with dos and don'ts...and one would think after so many years in business....they would know better. We have been using Extermco for a while now, to treat for roaches and ants. We just had them come out 1 week ago to treat our exterior and our garage. Now, our ant problem is even worse and we had a healthy roach running around in our garage just the other night. When I called them to express our concerns, they said they would have to charge us another $100 plus dollars to retreat. They did a good job, were prompt for the estimate and tenting appointments. The workers were courteous and did a good job setting up and cleaning up. The office personnel always answered the phone, was helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was one of the workers told us we would get a call the next day with an all clear to re-enter our home. When we hadn't heard from them at 3:30pm, we called the estimator who called us back about an hour later asking us if we didn't see the sign on our doors saying we can re-enter after 4pm. So we told him we were expecting a call and hadn't returned yet--small issue but inconvenient when we didn't know what to expect. Hopeful we won't have any termite issues for the next seven years, time will tell since the tents just came off four days ago. read more

When I inquired about a free onsite estimate, the girl on the other end made me feel like I had asked an awkward question. She transferred me to the woman in charge of bees. But then I was told they only treat Carpenter Bees. I asked for some suggestions and was told to look in the Yellow Pages. Update: I had to write a letter to the president of the company informing him of the terrible service. The matter was swiftly brought to the attention of the manager who ignored us before. Xtermco was contracted by my Association to tent my townhouse. They did not do a "thorough walk thru" nor prep my house prior to tenting as indicated in their own instructions, they placed tents OVER plants & bushes planted in front and back of my house which killed them, and although given specific instructions...still managed to completely lock me out of my house prior to my return. When I called their emergency number for help & directions on re-entry, instead of an apology, I was barked at by their representative who claimed to be the "owner" of this company. Without even allowing me (the customer) to speak, he snapped at me and gave me a long lecture why they are "required to lock my house" (which was completely unnecessary). He was not just unprofessional but also a terrible representative of Customer Service. They offered me NO HELP or even the slightest suggestion on how to get into my home. read more

I had my house tented two years ago and the other day noticed what I thought were droppings in my bedroom baseboard. Called for a spot treatment, The tech Paul Wallrabenstein came by and was Impressively knowledgeable that it was not termites, but may have been ants that kicked out the droppings. In 2012, I bought a home that was termite tent fumigated by Xtermco for termites. Xtermco gave a warranty that was transferred to us. We experienced termite droppings in the home when they fell on us and the living room floor. We called for an inspection and an inspector came and without going into the attic said, its old droppings. We experienced more droppings and saw live termites crawling on our family. We called again for an inspection. The inspector again said its old damage and nothing new. But we were getting rained on with termite droppings and still killing live termites. The last inspection was done on October 9, 2013. According to the work order "Live d/w termites in attic rafter and joist above child's bedroom and joist above kitchen." I received verbal and written email stating:Termite Fumigation Retenting was scheduled for Nov. 12, 2013 with onsite prep work for Oct 30, 2013. Then on Sunday Oct. 19, 2013, Sunday, in the morning, an Xtermco representative called and left a message on my cell phone stating the President of Xtermco Inc., has cancelled the tenting that was scheduled and you can not expect any further inspections or treatment from Xtermco. I want to warn all of my experiences. I even have newborn babies with termites crawling on them and termite droppings falling on them, possibly going in their mouths, eyes, noses and lungs. Be careful. I even felt threatened by the Xtermco caller who gave me notice of the change and even told me too bad when I told him I already made plans for the prep and tenting. My family's health is in danger and the home is threatened but Xtermco said for me to call Actionline, the Better Business Bureau or take them to court. But Xtermco will not tent fumigate and kill the termites they found. The Xtermco caller said the President of Xtermco wants it this way. Xtermco...Horrible service/ no follow-up..First of all I took the day off after booking and waiting 4 days for the estimate for pest and rodent.. Both were scheduled for the same day. One appt shows up and it's their termite guy( they are departmentalized so you can't schedule all at same time).. We didn't schedule for termites! I called the office and she tried to tell me I didn't make the original appt. Termite guy calls office and finds out they sent my pest control\rodent guy to another person who hadn't even scheduled a spot and would have them call me.. Well of course no call so I call them and Joshima was in lala land, acted like nothing happened and the said our next available is 10 days away! I get the feeling by the way she handled everything, she is def not cut out for customer service... I highly don't recommend them! read more

Since there are no recent reviews for Xtermco, I thought I would add my two cents. I had two homes fumigated recently. First, the gal booking the appointments was pleasant and quick. I asked if they give a discount for doing two homes but they only do so when both homes are tented on the same day. Since each family would be staying overnight at each others house, we choose to book the tenting a couple of weeks apart. We still got a very good price quote though so we were happy. One tenting day for house #1, they took about an 1 1/2 hours because the footprint of the house covers a huge area. House #2 took about an hour. I must add that before having the tent fumigation, I found dropping in five different areas of the house over a period of two weeks! Since the tenting, I have not seen any termites crawling, flying or any dropping either. I'm very happy! read more

After purchasing a condo and find out that it was infested xtermco was recommended to me by a friend.. The came out sprayed, bombed, baited and whatever else u can do to clear out pest they did and I haven't seen anything alive and crawling since then. This was back in December 2015 and I just had them come back out for a quarterly treatment and still nothing spotted. And I am not a bug person by no means I Highly recommend them guys for any job and pricing wasn't steep either. read more

I normally use Yelp to give me ideas on places to visit.. never wrote a review. But I'm so upset with this Customer Service!! Nele or Melle? Whoever picked up the phone was so disgustingly rude!! I called to get some cabinets treated for Termites. They came highly recommended by my handyman as he's used them many times. As soon as I spoke with her to get a quote; worst attitude I've ever received!! like i was bothering her because apparently they were closing in 10mins? Why is that my problem?? Why take your shitty attitude out on the customer?? Then she asked me for the measurements to which i didn't have bc I didn't think it made a difference and she spoke to me like I was 5!! She wouldn't give me a price and kept rushing me off the phone. To make it better, i had them on speaker and could hear her coworkers laughing at me in the background. Like they were mocking me! My husband and I decided to treat our cabinets with another company. I'm appalled.! I'm sharing this review on every platform via social media.
