Got there last night (12/17) and were told it was full from reservations!?!?!?!? Bouncers were pretentious jerks and this is the 3rd time I've had issues with this shady ghetto place. UPDATED REVIEW-Get your popcorn folks, this is a good one. Definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. Called the establishment at 6pm on Saturday, which was right when they opened. I asked some questions about cover charge, bringing mixers (not allowed), etc. I also asked if they had a lot of table reservations because I was bringing a group of about 10 people. He said "ooooo 10 people....what time are you coming?" I said I'd be there by 8:30pm so we can get there before the cover started. "Oh okay that's fine!" Fast forward to 8:30pm. I arrive and ask for a table. The manager said "Ooo I don't know if we have room for 10, we have a lot of reservations from people who booked in advance." TF? I tell him I called at 6pm to ask about this very thing. After going back and forth, he finds us a small section and we agree to just add some chairs around it. Cool. Waitress comes over and we ask for cups & ice while we wait for the rest of my party to show up. She's very friendly and cool. *Okay maybe tonight won't be so bad* More girls arrive and we start discussing buying hookah. Waitress explains that you have to pay NOT to smoke because that's one of the few ways they make money. *Hmmmm why the cover charge if that's the case?!* So you basically have to either pay for the hookah or pay to sit there, so you might as well smoke. *Fine, whatever*. She makes some suggestions and we end up getting the pineapple bowl thing and another regular hookah. Now we're hungry. But I remember their food is trash so we ask if we can leave to go to Wendy's next door and come back without having to pay. Waitress says "I'll ask the bouncer if you can go get food and bring it back in. They usually don't have a problem with that". *WHAT?! Okay I like this place again!!* We go get our food and come back in and eat. So now we're eating, drinking, smoking & jamming to to the hip hop the DJ is playing. DJ is outstanding! We need to order mixers now. I ask if the 3.99 pineapple juice is a carafe. Waitress said no, that's the price for ONE can. The same little ass cans you can buy a six pack of for $3 at Walmart. UM NAW WE'RE GOOD. She says "You can go buy some from the gas station next door" *Huh? I thought mixers weren't allowed?* But I don't ask questions. I remember my friend had juice in her car so I tell her to just go get that and she brings it back in. All good!! Fast forward to the end of the night. We ask for our checks and I tell the waitress we'd like to split it evenly 10 ways. She says that's fine and brings us back our tickets. *Hmm why is there a charge for the hookahs and another $5 charge on everyone's checks? I thought you either pay to smoke OR pay to not smoke-not both* Whatever, I'm tipsy and ready to go forreal at this point, so I don't even bother arguing. Some girls have cash, some have cards. Two of my friends give me cash for their tickets so I tell the waitress to just charge all three tickets on my card and I'll keep the cash. So that's really 7 tickets now. So we're waiting on our cards/change to come back and it's taking forever. Yet we see the waitress walking around changing out coals at other tables. We stop her and ask what's the deal. "I'm sorry, it's really hard to split a check 10 ways so my manager is taking care of it" *Ma'am....YOU ALREADY SPLIT THE TICKETS. We're just waiting for you to close them out.* While we're waiting, one of my friends decides to check her bank account and she sees they're doing a bunch of authorizations and refunds. I decide to check mine too. I HAD 13 DIFFERENT TRANSACTIONS ON MY CARD. They swiped it so many times my card got blocked for potential fraud. I show the waitress and she says she'll go fix it with the manager. She brings me back my ticket with so many receipts I damn near need a rubber band to hold them all. No organization. No set policies. I've read other reviews and people have said they are charged for BYOB, charged for not smoking, or charged for sitting. Business needs to make up their mind and get their story straight. Will NOT be returning. read more

They charge to get in $5. They charge for when you BYOB $5. If you're not smoking $5. If you have a party of 4 or more it's 18% gratuity. For 5 people they wanted us to pay $39.99 for a pineapple head. My friends and I used to enjoy this place. With all these charges we might as well have went somewhere else. I probably won't come here again unless I'm really desperate for a good time. Not to mention the bouncer wasn't going to let us in unless we had a reservation even though we got here at 9:30. A buddy of mine was DJing here so we came for some support and to check this place out. Decor is nice. It was kinda slow when we got there so we got seated right away. Its BYOB, but they do charge you for the set up (glasses etc.) Hookah is reasonably priced. They had a belly dancer, but the people that were there at the time was not really feeling it. I thought she did a good job though. Although this place is put together nicely, somehow I get the feeling this place is just being run as is with not much effort being put into it. If you have a large group, want to just hang out, chit chat and smoke some hookah, this is the place for you. If you're expecting more than that experience, you may not like it. read more

Horrible service! Paid $75.00 for admission and table. Waited 45 minutes only to be told they had no ice buckets for out alcohol and no tips for the hookah which they knew before they seated us. It was a FIRE HAZARD the amount of people in there. You could barely move. When asked for our money back they said they'd give us $30.00 but provided no service...smh! Never ever again!!! Pros: Great music, good hookah. BYOB Cons: Everything else. The staff is ok. They do refill the hookahs frequently. The crowd is not for me. I'm over 30 so I like an older crowd that's more sophisticated. It was kind of hood. And back in my 20s, I wouldn't mind hood as much but now I'd prefer to stay away from ghetto. My first Hookah bar experience, so forgive my ignorance as I keep writing. We had dinner next door at the Ramen place (awesome, btw!!), and I had wanted to try Hookah. On the outside, this place looked pretty cool, so we went in. The first thing was that, as we walked in we were charged $5 per person cover charge. The people I was with have been to many, many hookah bars, an this was the FIRST time they have ever encountered a cover charge. On top of that, they guy getting to cover charged seemed like a bouncer. Where are we??? As we walked in, the place looked really seedy. As I looked at the furniture inside, the impression I got was that someone spent a weekend driving around finding sofas and tables people had left on their sidewalks the be picked up. It was dirty and dingy. But hey, we're committed, right? So we sit down, and are told that it is 2 people per hookah (there were four of us), and each additional person would be something like $10. WHY? The people with us said they had NEVER encountered this only, and this was a total rip off, on top of the fact that the prices were already VERY high. Anyway, we got 2 hookahs. As we are in there, people are arriving, and we see this stage, the DJ, some women dressed like strippers, and we all started to wonder if we were in a hookah bar that doubled as a strip club. Seriously. We thought it was about to happen. Next, more people arrive, and it getting sketchier by the minute, and some people start arguing at the door, and we're getting pretty uncomfortable until we just left. Really bad vibe going on. The whole time we were there, the people with us that frequented hookah bars begged us not to judge hookah bars in any way by this one. This place is a bit of a scam when it comes to price. Paid $30 for a table for 10 that really only seated 8, $5 per person to enter, $5 per person on the tab um I suppose just because, and of course cost of the hookah. They said the $5 was a drinking fee but we weren't all drinking so why the fee for everyone. The main problem is that they aren't upfront about prices and it seems to be the case that many reviewers are surprised by the tab. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews either because there is a sign on the tables that says if you give them a review on yelp and show the waiter you get 2 free bottles of water. Haha I was tempted but hopefully this review helps others avoid the same mistake of going there. Great dj but it certainly wasn't money well spent. read more

This place used to be okay. However, they charge for everything. What really rubbed me the wrong was they tried to overcharge us. We were told it was $10 to get in by the bouncer and by two ladies at the front. A guest in my party of 4 pulled out a $100 bill to pay for us all and a man conveniently tells us it will be $20 a person. We immediately say no thanks and that we would leave and he changes it back to $10. Ridiculous. They double book sections which is very tacky. The music here was wonderful anditwasagreat atmosphere. I enjoyed the hookah, we received mint and wild berry which was extremely flavorful. You can bring your own alcohol so that is a great bargain as well! I would recommend on the weekends to come and Sunday but you need to get here a good time to make sure there is seating. read more

One of my favorite spots to go. I go early and leave before the big crowd hits. Staff is super attentive when the crowd isn't there.

this place is a great hideaway, but it can be a great spot to have an amazing time with friends on Friday. The key is who you bring with you.
