(The service was excellent, too!) I'm a museum tour guide and actually love speaking in a group, so I volunteered for a part and loved doing it. Many others did, too. My attendant was very polite. The process of getting the booking was not. Their website had shown availability that didn't exist which they acknowledged on my original day of booking. So, I had to pay a rebooking fee to get another day. I think that was unfair to me as a customer. They only have 3 rooms available with a 6 person max limit so keep that in mind when booking. The Charleston Music Hall itself is a beautiful, historic venue--intimate, well-maintained, and known for hosting concerts, comedy shows, and special events. The seating is comfortable, sightlines are good, and acoustics are solid, which definitely worked in favor of the vocal performances. The singers were clearly talented and did a great job vocally--everyone sounded wonderful, and there's no denying the performers can sing. However, we personally felt that the show didn't quite feel like a full "production." It leaned heavily on straightforward singing, with limited storytelling, choreography, or theatrical elements to tie everything together. This may come down to expectations and personal preference. Growing up around Broadway shows in NYC, we're used to more dynamic, story-driven performances with larger production value, and this didn't quite meet that standard for us. While others may enjoy it for the music and holiday spirit--especially in a cozy venue like the Charleston Music Hall--we would probably not attend again, particularly considering the ticket price.

Came here on a coworkers recommendation for a Team Building work event. The place is impressive…read morewhen you first come in. Large and well done but upon using the axes we were all a little disappointed. I've been to other places and always been fairly good but here the axes are pretty dull and the boards torn up. When I'd we hit it straight on, most of the time it fell out and hit the ground. We asked the staff to put up a new board but he said they've been out and are waiting on a shipment. The axes were all also pretty worn. One even broke when we threw it. On top of that, I thought the price was pretty steep. We were only given two stalls for 10 people and the price was $27 a person. Next time we'll probably go somewhere else unfortunately. The staff was all extremely nice though.
