It's a decent haunt attraction located at Holy City Brewery…read more There's 3 tickets options: - general admission $20 - RIP access : includes expedited entry into haunted house , a beer and access to a separate seating area.$35 - Get Buzzed : you get a beer and a burger from Holy City Brewing plus a flash art tattoo from Stardust Tattoo Park Circle plus expedited entry into the haunted house and access to the separate seating area. $155 We did the RIP access. It was a Wednesday night sooo we later realized we didn't need the RIP access but of course they don't tell you that when you buy the tix . There was no line and the private seating area was a bit lame so we didn't even sit in there. I don't really recommend the "get buzzed" tour unless you want a tattoo ? Kind of a weird combo . Anyways , you can order a burger on your own independent of this ticket and not pay $100+ for it . Do general admission or RIP access. The haunted attraction itself was pretty good . We had a fun time walking thru it . Took us maybe 10-12 minutes to walk thru . There was a good bit of scare actors and the haunt did not heavily rely on animatronics. My favorite was the possum mask one of the actors was wearing lol . I definitely think this makes for a fun date night or night out with friends .

If you're visiting Charleston, book a tour with Patricia "Trish" Goron at The Original Ghost Walk…read moreTour. We just finished her tour, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Trish is a true Charleston native, and her stories are based on real local accounts, not a canned script. She even shares photos tied directly to the paranormal history she has experienced and describes. The wildest part. We were standing with her about six feet from a streetlight on a corner. While she was talking, the top of the light pole started shaking, almost violently. There was no wind, and no other poles were moving. Then she asked it to stop, and it did. She acknowledged the paranormal presence and politely asked it to shake again, and it did. She said it was the first time she'd seen that specific physical reaction, and even she was amazed. It was truly a "see it to believe it" moment. By the end, it felt like walking through Charleston with a friend who knows every secret and haunt in town. She is charming, professional, and genuinely local. Support a local expert and skip the big corporate tours. She is the real deal who clearly lives and loves what she does. If it were a tour of the coast, it'd be a Coast Tour…read more I've been on five different ghost tours in Charleston - largely because the people I've come to Charleston with are big fans of ghost tours - but also because why would you not. I mean it's a haunted old beautiful city and I love it. Out of the three that I went on most recently I would say that Ghosts of the South and Ghosts of Charleston we'e both amazing, but Ghost Walk Charleston might be my secret favourite. The hosts of all of them were charismatic and fun and the prices are not bad at all. I don't recommend going in winter because it does get chilly around here at night. The heat of the summer can be a little bit too hot hot in SC, and it gets humid, so go in a moderate climate time of year like spring or fall - that, I think, is the most enjoyable.

I love checking out a cool distillery in any city I visit but this spot is special. I'm not a fan…read moreof drinking spirits straight up but since visiting this spot, I never thought I would ever sip on such smooth liquor like this liquor they produce here. From the bourbon, tequila, vodka, etc. No harsh burn on my throat, great flavors, great sippers. Having a flight option to include any spirit is a great option to choose on their menu. Their cocktails are also quite delicious as well. Friendly Bartender, Amazing Parking, Great Atmosphere, Just a cool spot in general.

My Valentine's Day surprise was a hit: Liquor tasting and chocolate pairing at The Striped Pig…read moreDistillery. The event popped up in January and I booked immediately, wanting to have a pocket Valentine's Day surprise. We arrived at our appointed time of 2pm, last available, and the gravel parking lot had plenty of spaces for us. I bet at night it can get packed, they have a local-bar vibe. We went in and followed the signs to the back. There is table seating as well as bar seating, and a nice dark wood funky vibe. Classic rock was playing not too loudly, and it seemed like they were running a staff meeting in the back so we couldn't do a tour. No problem, maybe next time. Our bartender welcomed us and offered table or bar seating, and of course we chose bar. There were several beer taps in the wall, with interesting-sounding names and descriptions that will have to be further explored at a future visit. We were here first and foremost for the tasting and pairing. Our guy gave us the list of the pairings, which was opposite order from the order they were served which was opposite the direction they were intended to be consumed. I enjoyed the chaos and we started with the house gin, featuring lavender and doing an incredibly herbaceous dance with the floral white chocolate. Nice pairing. Hubby is not a gin drinker and found it very floral and astringent. I bought a bottle. The next was the house spiced rum with a pineapple chocolate that was far superior to any Captain or Admiral. Spicy and smooth, a lovely slow sipping rum, or mix it up in a tiki drink or daiquiri. We picked up a bottle. Next, the bourbon. Hubs was not thrilled with their bourbon. He found it had a very acetone hit and while it was not objectionable, it would not be his choice. He is a bourbon connoisseur. I am not. I don't care for bourbon, but this was far smoother, less woody than expected. The dark chocolate would match with anything, really. Last, the rye whiskey. If I like anything less than bourbon, it's rye. But this one was surpringly drinkable, and I could see myself drinking it again. Hubby again picked up that acetone note that put him off the bourbon too. I don't know enough to define it. But tastes vary. We had fun and he wants to do more like this, so that's a W for the event, thanks for making it a fun Valentine's Day surprise! They sold me two bottles and I really like that gin so that's their W. The rest is for consideration. Gotta give em the full 5 stars. Keep your nose to the grindstone, Piggies, you've got a good thing going!
