On a whim I called on Saturday morning for a Sunday delivery and Corrie was able to accommodate plus the cost of the balloons was very reasonable (almost a quarter of what other places were charging). I made a mistake thinking the house was closer but Corrie and I figured it out and she still made the delivery on a Sunday afternoon! I'd highly recommend teacups and trucks!

We then found out she has a program called Mom's Morning Out from 9:30 to 12:30 three days a week for ages 2 to 4. My son has been attending for a month and I cannot say enough about how impressed we are with the program. The instructor, Patrice is so involved and thoughtful about the content of the classes. It is not just a place to drop your kids for a few hours, it is really well organized and structured, but in a natural and creative environment. My son is even learning Spanish and yoga! The class size is small, and the cost is very reasonable for the quality of the program. I highly recommend the Mom's Morning Out program to any mom looking for a preschool-type program in Mount Pleasant.

Three Stars -- Only Because My Family Made It Fun…read more My family of eight did our best to make this an enjoyable outing, and honestly, we are the reason it ended up being fun at all. The concept of an "epic game show experience" is there, but the execution really misses the mark. When you walk in, the entire setup is basically right at the door. The waiting/lounge area sits in the middle, and the adults-only game show is in the back--right next to the bathrooms. This layout became a big distraction. While we were playing, multiple people walked in and stood right beside us as the host kept going. A manager even came out to explain the experience to them while we were trying to hear our host. We played Family Feud for about 30 minutes, which felt at least 15 minutes too long. Our family still had fun, but that's because we enjoy games and can make anything entertaining at home. The setup itself felt very cheap. "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" lasted about 10 minutes with questions that didn't feel well thought out. "The Price Is Right" involved sorting Walgreens items into piles. Then we did flip‑cup tic‑tac‑toe on a fold‑out table with duct tape lines. The biggest issue is the host. I don't want to be rude, but he just wasn't very good, and that really matters in an experience like this. Overall, this felt like a low-budget setup with a halfhearted attempt at creating a game show atmosphere. My family made the best of it, but the experience itself needs major improvement.

To give you a…read morelittle background my daughter and son-in-law were the ones making the majority of the arrangements and my husband and I contributed the finances. Unfortunately my daughter had to have emergency brain surgery in March and my son-in-laws Mother had some preexisting health issues that landed her in the ICU off and on for the 6 weeks leading up to the wedding. Needless to say I started to feel overwhelmed with all of these unexpected health issues and a wedding in 6 weeks. I contacted a wedding planner that a friend suggested and over a period of a week tried to get in touch with her. When I wasn't able to make a connection with her I panicked and started searching through Charleston Magazine for event/wedding planners and found The Event Cooperative. I called Maryann and from the moment I started sharing my story I knew everything was going to be fine. Maryann made herself available to meet with us right away, immediately contacted the vendors we had already secured and started making arrangements to fill in the holes we had left. She quickly picked up on what was important to the bride and groom and what they had envisioned for their big day. She communicated flawlessly with everyone involved and set the tone for a beautiful day. To top it all off we had a tropical storm headed to Charleston in the days leading up to the wedding, the grooms grandfather passed away within days of the wedding and the grooms mother was readmitted to ICU 5 days before the wedding. It's still hard for me to believe but I was never concerned about the wedding from the moment Maryann came in to the picture. The couple ended up having two ceremonies that weekend...one on Saturday in the ICU at Roper Hospital with just immediate family and one as originally planned on Mother's Day with all their guests. Maryann was amazing and her assistance allowed the bride and groom and the entire extended family to enjoy spending time together and celebrating their marriage even in the midst of some very difficult days. Thanks Maryann! We truly can't thank you enough!

Maryann exceeds my expectations with everything she does for my organization. She meets with me as often as I feel is needed and is always prompt when answering e-mails or phone calls. Her eye is always on the bottom line and has pulled beautiful events together for us under budget. She plans our events and implements things I would never have thought of, from lighting, to linens, to set-up, even down to the smallest of details! She has planned high-end themed events for us, which included a 14 piece band and needless to say her set-up was breathtaking. Maryann is extremely friendly, professional, and SO creative! She is amazing at her job and I unreservedly recommend Maryann Hoyt of The Event Cooperative for any special event planning needs you may have!!

Using Charming Events of Charleston was by far the worst decision I made during my wedding…read moreplanning. I should have known early on in planning when it would take Justin multiple phone calls and days to get back to me that I was in for a rude awakening. My wedding was on June 11, 2016 and starting on May 19th, I could not get in touch with him AT ALL. When I called his phone it seemed to be disconnected and he did not respond to any emails. The Monday before my wedding I decided to check in with my vendors since Justin was so unreliable. When I called my rental company they told me not to panic but there was not an order placed under my name or Justin's for my wedding date. Let that sink in.... I had NO RENTALS (chairs, tables, napkins, etc) 5 days before my wedding was supposed to take place. After placing the order on my own, I called the linen rental company and they said they were about to cancel my order. They had been sending Justin invoices for two weeks with no response and thought we no longer needed all my tablecloths. The Monday before my wedding was the most stressful day of my life, spent replanning everything and double checking work that should have been done months in advance. He finally called me the next day but after much consideration, my family and I decided it would be best if Justin was not a part of my wedding day due to his failure to follow through with his contract. He agreed and told us he would offer a refund and meet with my parents before they left Charleston after the wedding. Well, it is nearly two weeks since my wedding and despite multiple calls, texts, and emails, no one in my family has heard back from Justin. DO NOT HIRE CHARMING EVENTS!

My demanding work schedule made calling vendors hard, and then when you add the time difference from east to west coast-- impossible. After some google searching, I found Sweet Peach Planning. I think their familiarity of working on both the east and west coast made me confident they'll be able to work with my schedule, and it did. We decided on a modified full planning package offered by Sweet Peach Planning and it exceeded every expectation of mine. Megan had great organizational skills. She brought many different contracts and other paperwork to our zoom meetings that were relevant to each topic of discussion. This made me feel present in the planning process even from 2,500 miles away and being unable to see things in person. Everything was thoroughly explained so I was informed of all the small but important details of my wedding day. Megan knows Charleston well, so she was able to find the most perfect vendors for our wedding theme/vision including rentals, a florist, hair & make up, and a cake. She printed out our signage and also made different personal touches, like a hand written mirror and our cake topper. Megan is friendly and easy to talk to. I always felt comfortable expressing my opinion to her even if it was something I wanted to change or didn't like. She was a very calming presence and I never once felt overwhelmed with the wedding planning process. She made sure we stayed on track with my timeline the entire day, which was super helpful since it felt like time was moving so fast that day. During my wedding ceremony and reception, the team made sure everything ran so smoothly. Madison was a great help all day/night. She was able to generously run to the pharmacy for me and also kept my phone and personal belongings safe. She took some candid photos on my phone so I had immediate memories of the night, which are some of my favorite pictures to this day. There were two additional associates who helped set up the venue and organize group photos, which were fabulous. A bunch of my guests even told me they never saw such a well organized event! Thank you so much Megan and Sweet Pleach Planning!

Megan was the absolute essential ingredient to making this wedding happen and be the most beautiful day we could have imagined. First and foremost - we knew we loved Megan right away from how honest she was with us. When we booked her, we wanted to hand everything off to her as a planner. She explained we were so far along in the process and had booked so many of the main vendors that she wouldn't want us to waste our money - but she'd recommend her coordination services instead. Megan went above and beyond everything I expected to have in a coordinator. She helped us with decisions, brought up questions for us to ask or suggestions to tell vendors about things we would have never thought about. She was available whenever we needed and even joined us for a few vendor meetings to ensure everything went smoothly. She even offered many of her own decor items (table numbers, windows, and candles). It is very obvious that Megan has tons of experience. Our photographer and venue both commented about how great working with Megan was and how she is so organized and experienced - so it isn't only on the client side, but the vendors she works with that also see how amazing she is. Very last minute we decided to book a videographer. We sent his website to Megan, who raised some concerns about something feeling off about the website and she explained it felt like a scam. Like dummies, we booked them anyways... only to get scammed because this videographer wasn't real. It all turned out okay (we got our money back, etc) and Megan handled it all beautifully. But, at the end of it - we wished we would have just listened to Megan's gut! She really knows her stuff and has a great ability to spot a good vendor vs. a fake one :) The day of - Megan was a rockstar. She directed family members, vendors, the bridal party, and anyone that had questions - all with a smile on her face. She was such a calming presence and we were so relaxed knowing Megan had it under control. We are so incredibly thankful for Megan and her Sweet Peach Planning team and honestly could not have pulled this wedding off without her.

When it comes to putting on a killer event, they know their stuff! I was an out of town bride so I interviewed many coordinators and chose Loluma because of their reputation and experience and also Tiffany took the time to work up a preliminary budget with me to help us get started. It made such an impact that she was willing to take a half hour out of her day to contribute to my husband and I before we made a commitment to hire them. I am so happy our decision to work with with Loluma because our wedding was 100% flawless! Everything from the decor to the flowers and the lighting were absolutely stunning. The wedding itself ran smoothly without any hiccups. I cannot tell you how many gust complimented the entire event and said it was like nothing they've ever seen before and it was the best wedding they've been to. They did an amazing job carrying out all of my ideas. They also took so much off my plate that I had nothing to worry about but saying "I do" on the actual day. It was everything we were hoping for but BETTER! I can honestly say I would hire them again in a heartbeat because they helped us have the most amazing wedding ever!
