Once our team agreed on a date and time, he accommodated us after normal business hours with ease, of which we were so grateful for! With only 1 person of 14 having climbed the course before, everyone picked up Hugh's instructions quickly and was comfortable climbing. You can go around the difficulty levels of the course at your own pace, which was convenient for all. Hugh was also readily available on the course to help us with tips/tricks to get through the paths or if there were any questions. I know…read morebetter than to believe that, but I thought it'd be a good excuse to sit in and hear how they pitch these things. I wanted to review them and I wanted them to prove me wrong. It was interesting. I decided their salesman is talented--the one who does the pitch. Their other staff is not as talented. They say there's no pressure but I'll be damned if I didn't have to turn them down a dozen times before they finally backed off and offered me my cruise certificate, which will cost almost a $1000 to go on through taxes and fees. Some gift, eh? I expected it, but I did feel bad for the poor suckers who inevitably spent money today and will end up with buyers remorse tomorrow. They could improve it by being more up front with the fees associated with their product, i.e. maintenance fees, taxes, port charges, etc. Also, though I know it works, maybe don't promise things you can't deliver. It might get people in the door, but it pisses them off when you waste their time. Be up front. If your product is good, you shouldn't have to be shady or lie to be successful. Transparency from start to finish would have gotten them a minimum of 3 stars from me, even if I didn't like or couldn't afford the product.

A Lot of noise from the busy road, you would think being on the 4th floor (attic) you would not hear the partying below and the traffic but its horrible! Only positive great location

recently joined pivotal because of location to where i currently live than to the gym of which i…read morehad previously been a member. pivotal also belongs to "Active&Fit" which i use. overall pivotal is a great gym; staff is very friendly, overall cleanliess is upkept very well with a number of sanitation stations to grab paper towels & spray to wipe down your equipement after use. locker rooms are clean & are just big enough where youre not constantly bumping elbows with other guests. although there are "theres been reports of thievery" signs throughout the locker room which is unsettling, but that is to no fault of the gym or staff itself. so bring a lock to secure your belongings. another plus is it is never very crowded like many other commercial gyms. that may be because of the hours i go (around noontime) nonetheless, i never feel rushed on a machine because someone else is waiting for it. machines and equipment are mix of old & new which i dont mind, 45lb is 45lb no matter how it looks, though i do wish they would get more, newer equipment to replace the older pieces they currently have. they also have a plethora of treadmills & cardio equipment. only thing holding back from 5 stars is i wish the free weights room was a little bit bigger, with more free benches & maybe some up-to-date free benches, i hate having to find something else to do because all 3-6 free benches are being used. same goes for the squat racks, where there are only 4 or 5 full squat racks & a smith rack as well. to reiterate, pivotal is overall a great gym & will continue to come here & will keep recommending to my friends, family, & colleagues.

This…read morewas a great gym to drop into as a hotel guest at a place that offers free access, but I'm not sure I would join this gym unless it was really, really cheap. Here's why: 1) Equipment: pretty good selection actually. Lots of free weight options, including barbells, a squat rack, benches, a deadlift area with bumper plates, dumbbells up to 100lbs; plus many machines, including cable machines, and quite a few cardio options. The high point of this gym is definitely the variety of training options. 2) Ambiance: needs work. The whole gym is dark and a bit dingy; the bathrooms are filthy (well, at least the men's was), there's water and who knows what else on the floor and many lockers were broken; equipment is in general disarray, and some machines don't function exactly right. All in all, this gym needs a tune-up! 3) Convenience: 24 hours, close to many downtown hotels, some parking out front. All in all, an ok gym, but definitely needs some TLC!

I understand it's a big facility, of course everyone working out is going to heat the place up... so you would think they'd invest in a better unit and or run it colder. Within five minutes of being there, before I start working out on occasions, I'm already sweating. I don't remember it being this bad last summer. And that's the thing- it's not even summer yet so how much worse is this going to get? The staff remains nice and friendly. There has been no update in the equipment in the last year I've attended so half of it is new and half is outdated. That being said everything works well and there is something for everyone. Even when it is busy there is always equipment or space available for you to move. I've heard other members complain about the teens hanging around. While I haven't experienced that myself yet I can only pray this doesn't turn into another PF. That's why I left that gym- because parents used it as a daycare and instead of the teens working out they just hogged equipment to yap. I'll update over the summer.

You do need to buy their socks and they do not accept identical socks from other similar attractions , but you get to re-use them at least when you visit again. We had our own host that stayed with the group of boys the entire time, explaining to them each activity and assisting them. The host served the pizza, drinks & cake and answered questions. Definitely a great party option and they also let adults play on all the equipment too so it was a blast for everyone!
