One word convenience! I was heading home for the holidays and did not have time to get my old shellac taken off before my trip. I had some time to kill at the airport and XpressSpa came to my rescue. They weren't too busy when I went in so I was helped quickly. The woman taking off my shellac did a great job and was friendly. The price was more than what you would pay at a standard salon, but for the convenience factor I thought it was worth it. They do pretty much everything a full service salon would do, manicures, pedicures, gel nails, I think they might even do tips as well. I would visit them again for sure! read more

The massage wasn't bad, but I ended up getting charged twice on my credit card bill. The cashier said the machine wasn't working, so she swiped my card a second time. The way the employees were talking it sounded like they have trouble with the machine often (which is not good for a company located in an airport where customers don't always have a lot of time to wait for transactions to go through). They never provided me with a receipt of the "faulty" transaction. I am now having a hard time disputing with my credit card company that the duplicate transaction was not with my consent. read more

I had one hour to kill before my flight and was looking forward to a nice pedicure. They are upfront with the menu of services and offer different degrees of luxury per nail service. I went with the deluxe pedi which include exfoliation and a scrub and sitting in the massage chairs. ($50) I was worried that my pedi would get ruined and the ladies assured me that they would give me disposable flip flops, which were a life saver. They don't serve drinks so I picked up a green tea from starbucks first. The massage chair was lovely and they allowed me to sit in it for the entire hour. My pedicure was thorough and my feet looked fresh after. Jin was the lady assisting me and she was patient and careful. She took the time to put 3 coats of polish plus base and top coat. She then allowed me to stay as long as I needed to ensure the nails were dry. No pressure to leave!! 2 week later and it still looks good. Very pleased with Jin and the staff at this location. Yes it's more than a local nail salon, but the convenience is worth it. I got off the plane looking well rested!! read more

There is one nice thing about having extra time at a not so busy airport- access to the XpresSpa! After a week of work, a bad pullout couch, and lugging my MacBook in my Marc Jacobs handbag, I was ready to put my feet up and relax prior to my cross country trip home. I walked in to a peaceful, clea, open space in the A terminal. The girls were all welcoming and informed me that my requested service (brow waxing) would be a few min wait. The quickly moved me to the amazing massage lounger. People, when you have time, you must check out this loung chair. This isn't you bad mall massager. This isn't your average nail spa chair massager. This thing really gets the you. In less than 10 minutes (I could have stayed there another 30) the tech came out and quickly waxed my brows. It was painless and pleasurable. Then she turned the chair back on and let me relax for another few minutes. Since I had 3 hrs to kill, I decided to add to my treatments and got the 20 minute neck and back massage. The bad mattress was damaging, but I also did some wii boxing and my shoulders needed some help (really tough holiday.) I received a tough and necessary massage that left me feeling renewed and ready for my trip. Remember that delays don't have to be painful! read more

Coming out of USMC training is so physically exhausting! A group of five Marines and I pampered ourselves at Xpress with pedicures, manicures, and massages. They were all exquisite! Boy, can those ladies give a great back and neck massage. I highly recommend this place. My toes were painted perfectly. Even better is the free goody bag at the end: some nail supplies, lotion and a free nail polish bottle. The massage chairs while waiting were really nice. The store honors military discounts. I definitely recommend this place to any tired traveler who needs a quick rejuvenation jolt. read more

My flight was delayed last week, so I decided to stop in for a gel manicure. My manicurist was very nice, but, unfortunately, the manicure left much to be desired. There were several bumps and air bubbles by the time she was done, and I pointed them out to her. She attempted to fix one then adopted a "Good enough" attitude. Within two days of getting the gel mani, it started chipping, and it was peeling off by day four. For a $50 manicure, I expected more. read more

Totally satisfied . The staff where professional, personable, and accomodating. The massage chairs where a perfect warm up before my hour full body massage treatment. I have passed by this store/service many times and never went in. I found myself in need of having my nails repainted. I had about 40 minutes available and they were able to fix my nails and they looked beautiful. The challenge I had was that the polish was soft enough that I needed to be extra special careful. Had a lot of time to burn at the airport, so decided to get a gel manicure. Paid over twice as much as usual for a horrible manicure. From start to finish it was a poor experience (accept the staff's attitude). The nail filing was a joke and done in about 45 seconds (VERY unsymmetrical and previous "chips" of my natural nail weren't buffed out whatsoever) and only 2 coats of colored polish were applied leaving the color WAY too thin which allowed my natural nail to show through. I could've done a much better job myself just using my non-dominant hand. Considering removing the polish as soon as I reach my destination... Only reason why I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 star is because the woman who did my nails was so very friendly/kind. read more

Stopped by for a 15 minute massage and got Chace who was AMAZING. I usually have a hard time finding massage therapists who are willing to use enough pressure on me (usually I ask for "meat grinder"), but Chace took me at my word and not only used the pressure that I wanted but also checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was still feeling comfortable. I wish I flew through RDU more often because I would stop here all the time! read more

I arrived at the airport with a migraine and made my way to the XpresSpa hoping that a massage would help. After 30 minutes with Chace, my migraine was completely gone and I felt fantastic! Everyone was nice but it was probably the worst manicure I've ever received. Cuticles are still a mess, no hand moisturization or massage, basically just painted my nails and didn't do a stellar job at that... For $20, which is pretty high for a manicure, airport or not. I arrived a full hour and a half before my flight, and they said they couldn't accommodate a pedicure. They close at 8pm, and I was there at 6:30pm. They said they only had one person doing pedicures, but there were other people standing around...seems like they need to reassess how they distribute staff. I'm annoyed and won't be back. read more
