Beware of this guy, if I could give 0 stars, I would. First off, his 5 stars on Google is…read moredeceiving. He deletes any semi-negative reviews and blocks the users so they can't post another review. So onto my experience. John is so unbelievably unprofessional. I made an appointment for early morning, for my birthday, and arrived within 5 minutes of appointment time. I texted asking how to find his suite in the building. There are no signs anywhere. Called him, no response. So we eventually figure it out, it's about 11 minutes past appointment time. He still hasn't returned the call. Knock on the door to the "room", that first off isn't even relaxing looking inside, he comes out, leaving a person on the table. He starts making a bunch of excuses. "I texted you the address this morning and you didn't reply" - "yes but the appointment was already confirmed prior". To which he is showed the text so then he agrees, "sorry you are correct it was confirmed. You can come back tomorrow morning". No offer of discount for my wasted time and gas, no nothing, I decline because after all this was for my birthday. Since that didn't work, he starts with "well she showed up and I said hi and her name was kind of similar to yours" - "so you realized it wasn't me though, and since I wasn't here at the exact time, you took someone else in my place and now you're telling me to wait until this evening for my appointment?" Then again another excuse "well it's now 14 minutes past appointment time" - "yes I was HERE within 5 minutes of the appointment but YOU didn't answer calls or texts" - so then he is like "ahh yes I see that now.....but I was in session already, she didn't confirm her appointment and just walked in". So then I proceed with "so you took a walk in, during my CONFIRMED appointment time, within less than 5 minutes of the start time?" Then he makes more excuses "well again you have similar names" - "right, similar but not the same, you just said she didn't have an appointment and you knew that, so you clearly didn't mistake us". It was like 5 more minutes of him making the same excuses over and over again, and I couldn't possibly get into a relaxed enough state ever get a message from a person who is so unable to be accountable for their mistakes. So I certainly wouldn't be wasting my gas to come back here tomorrow morning. Honestly, this is the most unprofessional behavior I've dealt with in a long while, and while he totally ruined the morning of my birthday, that room is less than desirable and the atmosphere is anything but relaxing. If you want quality, look somewhere other than this guy, someone who works in an actual massage studio and not someone who brings people into a "massage" room that otherwise feels it's slapped into the middle of an office building. Don't risk ruining a special day, find someone else.

Either way, we have had a terrible experience with this person and are STILL waiting for a refund for services not received months ago. This massage therapist is using multiple business aliases that are associated with the same person (Antionette) and the same building (919 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). These aliases include: A1 Miracle Hands Massage Studio, Healing You Yoga and Massage, and possibly others. A quick summary of what happened: - I ordered a massage voucher for this business for my wife as a gift from Groupon. - The business owner cancelled and rescheduled my wife's massage appointment five times, over a period of several weeks, sometimes without even telling my wife. - The business owner demanded my wife give her the Groupon voucher two days before the fifth rescheduled appointment, or else she will cancel my wife's appointment. - After my wife patiently dealt with these reschedules for weeks, the owner told my wife she is banned from booking appointments. - We have not received a refund and have been having to email Groupon and our bank back and forth for weeks, which has been incredibly annoying. I would think twice before booking with this business owner as she clearly does not respect customers or their time.
