I thought I had blown a tire, so I got off the highway and, by pure luck, pulled into Medford Gas & Service. Victor was just about to leave for the day, but he stayed late to help me. Within minutes, he found the actual cause of the problem that had been missed before and stayed even later to fix it so I could safely get back on the road. I can't thank Victor and the team enough. They are some of the kindest, most honest people I've ever met, and they truly went above and beyond. I'll only be bringing my car here from now on. I replaced the bumper with an OEM part and decided to give High Street Garage a try as Eric down at Pete's Garage has spoken highly of them when I have asked about Inspections in the past. I drove down there and saw an older man with white hair in the open inspection bay. I walked up, said hi and asked if they were doing inspections. He must have seen me drive in with the "R" sticker. He immediately started in on me saying he would not inspect the vehicle and I should go back to where it was initially inspected. I just asked why he wouldn't do the inspection and he just got louder and said "if I didn't repair it, I won't re inspect it." It was an OEM bumper for christ sakes, and it took me all of 2 hours to remove and replace. This was the first time I have had a vehicle rejected so I was not aware of the need to go back to the original inspection station. I would have thought that since these are State Inspections, the process would be uniform across all service stations. It looked to me like he was having a bad Monday and decided to give a bit of that attitude to me. I'll cross this station off my list. Not the way to treat a person or a potential customer.
