My boyfriend and I come here every year from Brooklyn to celebrate Valentine's Day as a tradition. Sadly, after this year's experience, we are starting a new tradition elsewhere next year because the experience we had was horrible for such an expensive restaurant. We made reservations in December for Valentine's Day dinner. We received a text message on January 27th that a $50 deposit was needed to secure the reservation. The deposit would not go towards the bill and would be fully refunded upon our arrival. We paid this deposit. Also noting that we received no confirmation or communication from the restaurant on our reservation after this, no messages, nothing. I had to call multiple times to confirm our reservation. Fast forward to yesterday, Feb 14, 2026, we arrived at our 8pm reservation at 8:09pm (please note there is a 15 min grace period). You would think after paying to secure your reservation, you would be seated right away. NO. We were told upon arrival that we would have to wait 30 mins because other before ours parties came 20/30 mins late. I'm sorry, I'm from NYC and that would NEVER fly. If you are that late for your reservation, it would be automatically be cancelled, ESPECIALLY on a day like Valentine's Day. ALSO, they said they had no room in the lobby so we had to wait in our car or outside. Mind you, it's COLD right now in NJ. We told him we had no car and we had to squeeze in the lobby. We waited 30 minutes standing before we were seated. I asked the man at the door if we would be compensated for this because we paid to secure our reservation and made the reservation WELL in advance, he said he would take care of us and give us a couple free rounds of drinks to make up for it (FYI, never happened. We got one shot which we had to ask for multiple times because they didn't want to give it to us). They also were pressuring us to buy drinks, even though they promised FREE drinks. Don't get me wrong, we were well prepared so spend a pretty penny here but after this experience, we were so upset that the experience was ruined and didn't even want to be there anymore or give them any more of our money. ALSO, the deposit was NOT refunded upon arrival. I am giving them until TUESDAY 02/17 to send me my money back or I will have to report it to my bank to get my funds returned. One positive, the food was VERY GOOD. I think it's worth it outside a special occasion like Valentine's Day. I didn't like however that the starters and mains came out all at once. I believe that this was just poorly managed by management. I am really disappointed because again, we come from Brooklyn every year, book a hotel stay and all just to come to this restaurant and I feel like we would have had a better experience in NYC. We won't be coming back for another Valentine's Day, maybe for brunch as that seems to be better managed. I hope they do not do any funny stuff with our deposits and they do better. read more

Came here on a friday night at 8pm for a birthday. (Make sure you have reservations, eapecially on the weekend) The establishment is tucked away in a corner or a strip mall. But it has a red carpet outside that gives you a glamorous feel. We were greeted at the door and was asked to wait in the lobby. We had an 8pm reservation. We waited about 5 min before our table was ready. They have a dj on the weekends and The music is extreamly loud. You cant hear yourself talk, and they sat us right at the dj booth. We asked to be moved but no other tables were avalible. We got use to it after a while because the dj was really good. Dj Yamosa. Our waitress took our drink order, as we were a party of 3 but only had 2 at the time. Our drinks took a while to come out. The service is very slow, but i expected it from the reviews. I ordered the half chicken, only to be told 10 min later that they were out. So i got salmon with mash, tandori chicken, and the lobster rigatoni. It took about an hour for our food to come out, and the waitress warned us they were backed up mid way through. I think they should give you free bread or something since they know service is slow. Anyway, we were entertained by the dancers, saxophone player, and the dj. They really keep you entertained and will encourage you to get up and dance with them. When our food arrived it was very good, no complaints. We then ordered the fried cheesecake and lava cake since thats all they had. The lava cake was dry but the fried cheesecake was really good. This place looked very nice and it appeared recently renovated. However, upon arrival, I couldn't ignore the overpowering bleach smell that permeated the entire inside. It seemed like they were still cleaning while they had been open. Overall, I wasn't particularly impressed with my experience. The chicken and waffles I ordered was nothing special. My experience at XPERIENCE was extremely disappointing and honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We had a reservation for 3:00 PM, yet we were not seated until after 4:00 PM, which already set a negative tone. Once we were finally seated, the service became even more unacceptable. We sat at our table for over 30 minutes without a single staff member coming over to introduce themselves, offer water, take a drink order, or even acknowledge that we were there. After waiting that long, we had to get up and go find a manager ourselves just to get assistance. Even after speaking with someone, we were told to wait again and ended up waiting another 30 minutes before anyone actually helped us. Eventually a staff member walked by and I had to stop him to ask for help. He did bring drinks and eventually some food, but by that time the experience was already frustrating. What makes this even worse is that this was supposed to be an all-you-can-eat experience with unlimited mimosas, yet during the entire time we were there we only received one round of food and one round of drinks. No one came back to check on us, refill drinks, or ask if we needed anything. We even requested water and never received it. To make matters worse, the restaurant charges $90 per person, which is outrageous considering the level of service we received. While we were trying to eat, a photographer continuously came around selling pictures for $25 per photo, and when asked about purchasing multiple pictures (about 15), there was no willingness to offer any type of bundle or discount, which felt extremely unprofessional. Between the long wait, lack of service, overpriced experience, and overall disorganization, this visit was incredibly frustrating. There were two more groups of birthday celebrations and the DJ made sure to give everyone Birthday shout outs. A helluva experience... NOT! It's a no for me, dawg. Welcome to the Twilight Zone! Maybe it's just me, but when I walk up to a place and see a red carpet, I would expect there to be impeccable service. This "Xperience" did not give me those vibes. Your hostess at the entrance is more concerned with taking pictures on a sports car than doing her job. (Noticed this as we were leaving parched and unfed) It's date night... We show up at 8pm on a Friday for drinks and appys, in search of bar seating or anywhere indoors. After we stood at the entrance in front of four bickering employees, someone finally looked up and noticed us. We were gently denied entry but offered seating on the " patio" which is located in the alleyway adjacent to the building. Not at all situated like a *real* patio. We sat there, feeling a sense of "offness " for about 15 minutes... Not once did anyone offer to bring us a menu, water or drinks. There was no eye contact from the people in front or the one waitress we saw exit and enter the building. So, we left the patio area unbothered and proceeded to our vehicle to salvage the night and spend our coin elsewhere. When we walked away, we passed by two employees in front who asked no questions whatsoever. They, too, were unbothered - which signaled to me that we made the right choice by not spending our hard-earned coins at this establishment. I attended a birthday party this weekend and I was the first person there. The ladies in the front have no idea what's going on when they let you in. The one girl asked me if I was the host and I said no. She really had the nerve to ask me a second time. Clearly not the sharpest tool in the box. She didn't say anything about sitting down. There was no offer to go to the bar. There was a man there though who was nice enough to say would you like to have a seat. He even moved me to the table. Shortly after he asked if I wanted anything to drink to which I said, yes. He seemed to be the only one who understood what customer service looked like. The rest of the guests arrived, and then they tried to impose an additional fee on top of what was already paid for. Unacceptable. Also, there are people who will ask you to get up and take a picture of you. SAY NO!!! By the end of the night they come and show you all the pictures they took to sell you your pictures for $25 each. Tell me how they have the audacity to tell you that you cannot pay cash and you cannot take a picture of the picture they took of you. It's an experience I could've went without even, though I had a wonderful time with the birthday girl and all the ladies. So while they might have a beautiful atmosphere, a girl unnecessarily swinging above the bar in a hoop, and an electronic backdrop to sell this idea of a wonderful experience, it fell short. Let me start by saying Xperience knows what it offers and the crowd it wants to attract. From the red carpet leading to the entrance, you walk inside you're met with flashy lights, loud music (more on that later), dancing entertainment, and people looking to have a fun night. Throughout the night we saw party bus after party bus drop off groups of people. We were told that the majority of their customers are there to celebrate a birthday. The first couple hours into our double date, it was incredibly hard to hear each other talk. At one point we asked if they could lower the music, and they did for a short time. But it went back to club levels soon thereafter. We eventually were told by management that they could move us and our food to the outside dining area where it's quieter (we wished that option had been presented to us earlier). Outside was indeed quieter but you could still hear the music inside which was nice. Our server Avianna was a rockstar all night. She went above and beyond steering us in the right direction in terms of drinks, food portions, and what sides to stay away from. While outside, Juan came to our table 3 times with complimentary shots to apologize for the inconvenience we went through. He asked us what liquor we wanted, but it didn't taste like Casamigos Reposado. We didn't question it since it was free. For drinks, I had the Ill In Ibizad, which was Don Julio Blanco, Passion Fruit, Banana Liqueur, Vanilla Bean, and Fresh Squeezed Lime. I was surprised to hear it's not ordered often, because I had 2 of them. I appreciated that the fruit flavors didn't overpower the liquor but paired well with it. As for the food, the whole fried red snapper with sweet thai chili and plantain chips was exceptional. It had the perfect crispness and the right amount of sauce to not oversaturate it. To finish the night, we ordered the Diamond desert board. Once again Avianna hooked us up by saying if we left a Google review we could get the desert for free. While the beignets we hard to truly appreciate because of their small size, the fried cheesecake and triple chocolate brownie did not disappoint. All in all, if you're looking for an entertaining night and don't mind not having conversations then I would dine inside. But if you want to hear one another I would opt for the outside area. I will start out by saying this restaurant still has some kinks to work out, but they will get there. Sam, the owner, was great to my girls' group! When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked in, and it was a red carpet experience. The place is super cute but not as big as I thought it would be. We sat at a larger table, and T was our server, and he did the best he could. I started with a martini, which they messed up with the serving but after while they brung it to me. The manager comped it because of the wait. For dinner, I got the shrimp appetizer, and it wasn't bad. It just needed a little more seasoning. I will say the prices are a bit steep, so prepare yourself. The girls enjoyed their meals and drinks. It was a little hectic in there but I will give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt! This place is beautiful ! It's a newly opened restaurant in the area. ( Fun fact: the person on the consultant team for this restaurant also helped designed Le Malt lounge and owns Estimes Cafe - of which are a few blocks away) My coworker told me about this place and it fit the vibe I wanted. Something fun, beautiful and had good food. Since this restaurant is still new, their menu was very limited. We ordered some friend, my friend got the shrimp and I got the chops. While the potions were really small, the flavor was there. One of the sauces for the chop reminded me of a Haitian Épis It was really good. The drinks were also delicious. I for their version of a Lychee martini "Drunk in love" There's also a nice outdoor section but you have to have the staff escorte you if you'd like to sit out there. There's hookah available. One of my favorite things were the entertainment, they had 2 last Vegas like show girls that performed later on in the night. Ambiance, inside and out is top tier. Outside feels like you are in Miami, inside is sleek and sophisticated. Came here in a group of 4 for Mother's Day brunch. I knew since it was new, there would be delays, so I set my expectations as such. While waiting, three different people asked me 4 different times if I had a reservation. I did. We waited outside while our table inside was getting prepped. We declined to dine outside despite being offered multiple times. Once seated, our server Amelia asked if we still waited to or sparkling water. While she went to get my sparkling water, another waitress filled our glasses with tap. It was fine. We had no issues. I can go into detail but I literally am exhausted from today. Just please believe me when I say the service is 0 stars. It took a lot to get anyone's attention and it felt like we were just in a room waiting until they got it together to attend to us. Means while there are 8 people at the door, awaiting guest, so they can sit and not be served. This place felt like an after hour spot where you may get service if you know who to ask or your tipping g right. When we finally got the food it was good. Cold but good. Chef made good food. Then you have to tolerate the drunk women right on top of your party because you gave a small table. I will end by saying this place is absolutely mismanaged, terrible service, no attention to their customers and everyone working in their own silo. We paid our 600$ bill for brunch and I only complained about the reservationist who charged me $100 extra for a 21 balloon. They are a rip off and absolutely not worth the gas to get there. What is more than disappointing was when I spoke with the manager, he offered our table shots like I was 20 something. I declined. I left their two gallons I paid $100 for and paid the bill in full with the tip. I don't come out to get taken advantage of. I pay for services with no problem but when you try and take advantage, I'm not the one. I've dined at the finest and the slums but one thing I won't compromise is respect, customer service and attentiveness. This place is the worst. I will never come back. If you are celebrating a birthday , this is not an experience. ITS COMMERCIAL AND NOTHING worth booking. It has no personalization. We have been to this place about 5 times in the last six months. Although the owner is Indian himself... his employees are absolutely racist. The bartenders roll their eyes, take so long to take our order but aren't doing anything, stand huddled in the corner making fun of us, and the list goes on and on. We were there to spend money and have a great time as we are in our early 40s and like to get away for a girls night. Today, we went in when most of the restaurant was basically empty... before we stepped foot inside the entrance... the manager loudly tells us that it's a five drink minimum and if we weren't ready to pay for that ... we couldn't sit at the empty bar. Then the waitresses rolled their eyes and were annoyed at us for no reason. We asked to pay for the bday board and they said no in the rudest way. I don't know if this desi owner is aware of this ... but no idea why they continue to treat other Desi's like this. They were each $20+ so a little steep but I can understand. Two of us including myself ordered Rasta pasta - I ordered mine extra spicy but it didn't seem any different from the other dish. The birthday girl got the lamb chops. Another girl ordered Alfredo pasta and the last girl ordered two appetizers, crab cake and another one I don't recall. We all enjoyed our food- we seemed to all agree on a 3.5/4 rating for the food. My friend loved her lamb though! However, although I order dairy at many places without a problem til much later in the night, my lactose intolerance seemed to kick in within 15 minutes of finishing my food. I was super sick, thankfully it quickly cleared. Today when I heated up the rest of my food, I realized there was a ton of oil pooled at the bottom of my plate. I feel like I poured out 2 tablespoons of oil, which would explain what also affected my stomach. They brought out her cake and cut it well and we had no issues in that aspect. They also took great pictures of all of us and the birthday girl, but they asked for $25 extra to keep them... on top of a nearly $400 bill, we passed! All in all, Xperience is a total vibe! Great music and energy, clean and well-organized. Definitely a 5/5 for the atmosphere and service but with the food being decent and how pricy it is, I'd give it a 3 for now. The set up is a little awkward. When you walk in there, there's very little space between the door and the host station. The seating is very tight. Also, many of the tables and chairs were very worn which was surprising given this as a fairly new restaurant. The food itself was very good. Terrible "Xperience" to say the least. Food wasn't served till 30 minutes until our time slot was over so in perspective we had to rush to eat our food. Our table was completely ignored and treated less important than others. Place is super tiny and uncomfortable, felt like I was in a box. Don't be fooled by the photos and everything they try to drag you in to spend your hard earned money. Very very disappointing to say the least. Water tasted like straight disgusting tap water, wouldn't the surprised if E. coli is present. This is a small spot in a the cut. To be honest I wanted to LOVE IT but I couldn't.. then I wanted to HATE it but I couldn't. I came here for to celebrate my birthday and my friend birthday. When you get to the door someone comes out with a tablet to make sure you have a reservation then checks id. Which is great because no one under 21 is in here. You walk in and it's a cozy small "club restaurant " vibe it's not to much of one or the other . They have a giant tv in the back which was great I'm a big football fan and it's a Sunday so I get to eat drink listen to great music and watch my favorite sport ! The food was ... well some of it good and some of it just mediocre. Once we were seated our table was wobbling the little lights they have on the table didn't work . We sat at this wobbly table for about 20 mins NOBODY NOT ANYONE came over to give us water or even say hey my name is and I'll be taking care of you please give me a minute I'll be right back . Instead I had to go over to the person who sat us down to tell him about the table wobbling and no one coming over to us. About 10 mins later a waiter comes over and moves us to the table next to us . That was fine . This was my first time here I didn't really understand the special for brunch and their spirit menu . The waiter explained it to us and we ordered. The service here is painfully slow . We constantly had to flag down someone for something . They don't give you water unless you ask for it and they only give you a 1/4 of the cup . The wait for the food was awful . Some of the food that we order was either overcooked or cold . It was busy but still it's a very small place I really don't understand what's the issue. The drinks when they did come out were very good. The food was good Crab cakes 6/10 French toast 10/10 (the best French toast I ever had to be honest) The lamb chops 6/10 the sauce that came with it was 9/10 Skirt steak was over cooked and cold 5/10 Scrambled eggs 7/10 Chicken and waffles 8/10 the chicken was really really good Roasted potatoes 7/10 seasoned very well They didn't bring out any syrup we had to ask for it and they literally brought out a small dipping cup for 4 ppl which was crazy cuz it literally wasn't enough. My friend asked for salt and pepper the food runner said they didn't have pepper and brought a small plate of salt out . Meanwhile the table next use asked for pepper and they brought out a fresh black peppercorn shaker. ‍ But the price point for this area is a little outrageous. Parking is terrible I'm not sure if I would come back .(probably not) we were here for 3 hours and I was ready to go after 1 hr . The long wait for service is a major turn off. 20-25 mins for a drink is unacceptable. read more

Horrible experience had a reservation waited over an hour to get sub par service and a poor excuse as to why it took so long before getting even a beverage. With the price of going out do better, plan accordingly ,and maybe reliable staff or get out and do the work, don't make that the customers issue. I really wanted to like this restaurant. Photos and marketing made this place look fun, but unfortunately we had an awful experience. My group made a reservation for a birthday and my wife and I arrived about 45 mins early. We parked in front of the restaurant and sat in the car while we waited for the rest of our group. About 30 mins in, the tall male African American host came over to my window and asked me if I had a reservation. I responded with our information and he said he would check us in as partial arrival first. Great... sounds good to me. 15 mins later, the rest of my group arrived and parked next to me in front of the restaurant. We walked in to check in with the same host. While my family member was checking us in, an older Indian guy that stated he was the owner, came over to me and demanded me to move my car. I asked him why I have to move my car and he responded that he needed the spots in front for VIP customers. I advised him that there's two more empty spots and that he should have some signs up because nothing says the spots are only for important guests. I also advised him that I've been sitting there for 45 mins, why didn't he tell me before I got out of my car and walked inside. He stated that it doesn't matter and I still have to move my car, so I refused to move my car. Then the tall host tells my family member that we need to pay him some money to park in the front spots. Instead of arguing further, she paid him $20. The host then tells the owner that he took care of it and that we were good. So the owner left me alone. I understand some fancy restaurants have belt parking and certain spots are blocked off for valet parking but this place was not that kind of place. It is in a small strip mall next to a sandwich shop and nail salon. Meanwhile, we did our best to enjoy dinner after being extorted for money to park in a strip mall parking lot. We spent a little over $1,200 (see receipt) and were basically told we weren't good enough to park in front of the restaurant. Needless to say they have lost a customer and I will definitely make sure my friends and family will never come to this establishment. I am a board member of an employment union with about 30,000 NJ employees and I'll be sending a email to all members advising them of how this place treats their customers. Be warned... You'll find nothing like it - awesome lounge feel with great music, crafted cocktails and a talented young chef behind a fusion menu. I mean this was a blast and cannot wait to see it on a weekend! Looking for dinner and a show? Dancers and a saxophonist any given day while pulling out all the extra stops if you're celebrating an occasion. I literally forgot I was in central NJ while inside - it really feels like this spot belongs in the city but love that it's nearby. Before I write my review, I am someone who absolutely does not mind spending money for great food and drinks. I went to Xperience for a birthday. I will say, the service was really good and everyone was kind and attentive. Other than that, this place is entirely way too expensive. It's like they want to charge fine dining pricing but it's not that at all. Yes, the place is nice and the ambiance is good, but the price for majority of what's on the menu should be cut in half. I ordered fried red snapper that had the nerve to be around $48. The price wouldn't bother me as much if it was actually good but it wasn't. One of the sides that was supposed to come with it I never even got. My husband got the salmon and the mashed potatoes with it tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. My cocktail was okay but not that great for it to be $20+. There are definitely others fine dining restaurants with way better food and drinks that actually match what they charge. Worst dining experience I have had in a long time. And drove 40 min to get here for a date. This was definitely nottttttt worth a $380 bill for two people that only had 1 drink each. This is a ghetto bougie restaurant. We had a reservation and they did not seat us for 30 min because they were unorganized with large group in front of us. The complimentary bread was solid as a rock. We ordered as $210 seafood platter to share it (overcooked, over seasoned and not fresh) we told the waitress and manager and nothing was done. The waitress actually had the nerve to bag it up in to go containers. Where in the world would see a table not even finish 15% of a meal and not want it to go and the manger ignore it. The music is obnoxiously loud that you have to scream over the table to talk and the worse part is the speaker and his microphone kept screeching. It's in a shopping center that looks nothing like the videos they try to present. And the toilet did not work either in the ladies room. I felt so bad that my date thought this was gonna be an elevated experience. This is not high class when you have gentlemen wearing baseball caps and women in sneakers at the bar.
