If you have an alternative option, take your business elsewhere.- I moved and was told to bring my equipment with me to the new apartment where cable is included in the HOA. After charging me $400 for service after I moved and not delivering the equipment, my service was shut off completely and no one has been able to resolve the issue. I've now been on the phone for over 4 hours, Ive talked to managers in every department and my services still do not work. Going to try my luck exhanging the equipment tomorrow but this has by far been the worst experience as customer. xfinity has the worse customer service, the worse wifi connection. I've been an xfinity customer for lord knows how long just for ever single hour it'll restart the router just out of nowhere. during the pandemic it was worse. We even upgraded our plan just to see if that was the reason. It worked for maybe a week then went straight but to restarting Every single hour and nobody being able to connect for HOURS. also we called and asked for a new router guess what they did? Charged us saying they already sent a "NEW" router. yeah? How come the router they sent was in a shitty brown boxed and was a USED router. I'm saying USED because one it didn't turn on, two IT WAS FILTH, I mean it had some nasty dirt or whatever substances in the cracks and in the holes of where the fans blows I believe, three the router stinks itself. let's also talk about the shitty customer service providing NO HELP whatsoever unless we pay out of pocket for actually good customer service for some to show up to our house charge us for something as simple has giving us an actual NEW router that I could've just done myself if they sent the right NEW router in the first place. I just got off the phone with Comcast. Spoke with Claire, told her I had bare wires showing in my garage that needed to be fix. I was told that they didn't have anyone available to take care of the problem. I needed to call an outside electrician to correct the problem at my expense. With all the money you pay for the service, I feel that we are being taken advantage of. It's there equipment and they need to resolve the problem. I never dealt with a company that operated like this. They are using the virus as an excuse. Claire told me that someone would be contacting me in 24 to 72 hours. You will see there trucks outside of McDonald's or Dunkin Donuts, that's ok for them to do that, but to take care of a paying customers problem they make several excuses. DO NOT GO WITH XFINITY. Guaranteed, you will regret it! You NEVER get to talk to a real person without jumping through all of their automated hoops like a circus dog. My husband and I have had a running battle trying to get a decent signal from the wireless system installed in our home for almost 2 years now. They are really the only provider in our area for high speed internet(Pocono region Northeast PA), and my hubby is ex-military and a hardcore gamer. We got it installed during the start of the pandemic and have had multiple people out since then. From the beginning of installation, we have had issues with sucky/surging service. The television, and desktop on the first level(tv is less than 25 feet from the modem)both constantly disconnected and reconnected to the home networks, with average peak speeds of under 32mbps. The second time, they suggested our items were too old to connect properly. So we went out and bought BOTH a new desktop and a new TV(55 in 4k smart tv) STILL had the same issue. Another visit and we showed them with speed tests that we were NOT getting the speeds we were paying for. Replaced the modem twice. Then we were told they upped our speed to 600MBPS for free(still have the email). It was NOT. It was only free for the first month, then our $65 bill shot up to $95. But STILL have the same issues. Could not watch anything streaming on the new tv because of the constant signal disconnect and reconnect. Speeds(when connected) were still so slow that the streaming was pixelated on our brand new tv. My desktop constantly was disconnecting and reconnecting. Bought a new high speed wireless card on the suggestion of one of the tech guys...SAME ISSUE. Finally had enough and called to say we needed someone to come out(specifically requested a senior tech) and figure this out or we were going to cancel service because at this point, we were getting a better signal from our TMobile hotspots on our phones than we were on our "blazingly fast" wireless home network. Guy came out and hardwired everything he could. Still not fast, but at least itwas steady...then my husband(a gamer) started having issues again getting kicked from his servers repeatedly due to bad signal(now hardwired). Then I get a notice from xfinity that we now owe over $200 because we were charged a home installation fee?!?!?!?! This experience from your company has been an absolute money sucking nightmare(between being charged $95 a month for our "free" upgrade, all of the money we have spent on new tv and computer because of your tech telling us THAT was the issue, and NOW being charged a home installation fee for trying to get the installation to work properly?!?!?!) Any one OF YOUR PEOPLE CAN LOOK UP OUR ACCOUNT IN OUR RECORDS AND SEE HOW MANY TIMES WE HAVE CALLED TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED AND NOW THIS! They have most inept call center with no way to contact a service center or any way of checking if equipment is available. They expect you to basically wing it. The Palm Beach Gardens service has no direct line and the call center said they cannot call them or check if they are even open for service. Yesterday they had no cable at the service center and couldn't give out any equipment. .You're the largest multi billion $$$ Cable company and your cable is down at your service center? You have no way to direct dial a service center? You have no way to check if equipment is available at another location? I am a long term Xfinity internet customer, being served in several properties in the last 15 years, and currently using Xfinity at my house and at my store. Last week my home internet stopped working on Thursday evening (May 6, 2021). It took a full week and the visit of four crews in different dates to solve the problem. From what it was explained to me by the technicians, the distribution board close to my house was damaged, and also another one out of our subdivision. For that reason the cable signal was not getting to my modem. After the cable issues were solved, the last technician also had to change the modem which was not working properly as well. After changing the modem my Wi-Fi devices came to life again, the technician was not able to make my wired devices to work again. This weekend I purchased a long enough cable to bypass my switch and get directly to the equipment that was not working, then I realized that whatever happened that evening and was carried by the coaxial cable damaged everything connected directly or indirectly to the coaxial cable that provides the internet. The cable modem, the Google Nest Wi-Fi router, three switches (2 with 10 ports, one with 7 ports), the 75" TV, the Audio Receiver, the Pool Controller, and I'm still waiting to discover other damaged devices (anything hardwired to the modem was impacted/damaged). The cost from what I have already mapped is close to $5,000. Nothing solely involving electricity in our home was damaged, since the whole house is protected by an FPL installed surge protector. Only those electronic components noted above connected to the internet cable were damaged. It seems that if the coaxial line had been properly protected outside that all these items would not have been ruined. I've seen others on this forum with the same situation and seeking a similar resolution. As a long time customer I am asking if Xfinity would accept responsibility for the damage. Do not call the customer service line for downed cable lines. If you are just being a good citizen and happened to pass by and wanted to call it in and don't know an exact location don't bother. I have the intersection of where the cable was and they told me they would not dispatch a crew without an exact physical address. I called FPL with the same concern and gave the same intersection and a crew was out in less than 20 minutes. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. The guy who said they should change their name to ComCrap is 100% spot on! I have been paying for internet service of 150Mbps for the last year and for most of it I get speeds of like 55mbps. You can and complain and they do nothing. They tell you everything checks out, over and over again. Finally my internet started going out and when I called 9/4/19 they tell me a tech is in the area because a "box" has to be replaced. I tell them my issues has been ongoing for months and I'm paying for a service & speed I'm not getting. Finally after 3 days, countless calls and representatives I'm supposed to be getting an XB6 modem by mail, then they said they's expedit it by having a rep come to my house today in the afternoon. I asked that they call so I know more or less what time. I wait, and wait and nothing so I call back and find out they never scheduled it. Now they want me to go to the Xfinity location to pick one up. I do this only to be told by the guy at the counter that he can't give me an XB6 modern because that is only for speeds of 250Mbps and he can only swap it out for the same model. I call back (because the people at the Xfinity store aren't allowed to call Xfinity customer service. WTF?) and I'm told that poor Kenny at the store, whom I've been yelling at, is in fact correct and the countless reps I spoke to for 3 F-ing days were all wrong. I leave with the same model modem I had before. I finally spoke to a nice rep named Jen who helped me set up the new modern and has scheduled a guy to come out tomorrow and double check everything (lets see if they show). She also had a supervisor call me just now regarding a credit for the 6+ months of paying for a speed I wasn't getting. DO you know what they offered me? $30 and who I said no they offered $50 and that was the max they could do. My contract is up in January. I will not be using this crap company again. I will also be checking my speeds daily & taking pictures to show the speed and time and date, and if I have to call daily to complain I will. I will have a lawyer involved in this if I have to. It's a matter of principle at this point. People - Check your speeds daily and make sure you're getting what you paid for!!!! Speedtest.net is your friend. PS: Cancel your internet & Comcast cable subscription!!! You don't even need cable with anyone. Look online for alternatives to cable. I was approached by xfinity sell associate at Walmart & they presented a decent package and I went for it that was over a month ago. They came over to install the cable (partial left it half way) told me they were going to come back and never showed up. Also, they told me the equipment was shipped by UPS but I never got it . They said they were coming over for the installation 5 days ago and left me waiting never showed up. Now, they are disputing that I got the equipment which i never received one. If I was able to give 0 starts I would. I recently changed services to Xfinity and I can not be more disappointed with this huge mistake. I've only had the service for 2 months and already have had 2 technician visit and the thought of already canceling the service increases more and more.The internet works great from time to time, but the rest of the time it stops working and it slows down ,ect.The internet signal does not covers the entire house and I have a 1 level home, had to buy a repeater in order for my kids to be able to access the internet from their rooms. The cable is ridiculous as well, if I want to change channels the cable box is constantly having a message that's says could not connect to server, so I'm force to either keep watching the same chanel until the cable box finally connects to the server or turn it of and reboot it (my every day trouble a few times a day). The security systems works so so, if theres no power theres no system, unlike what they had told me, the app is constantly loading when you try to access it, it freezes and sometimes I dont even know if the house is alarmed or not, have to close app and reopen it to see the status. Worst thing i have ever seen a business do. I started service about 2 months prior. I receive a call Thursday saying that they could upgrade my internet to 75mb from 25mb with basic tv for only $5 more month. too good to be true was my thought i continuously asked this guy the same questions confirming bills. how much did i pay before how much will i pay after ect.... so i agreed. he asked if i need installation i said no i can hook up a basic box to a wall. Fast forward to 430pm that day. i get a call confirming installation the next day. I got an operator said no. while on the phone i asked again to confirm it was only 5 increase. she said no it was a $5 increase to the plan but not the bill. because the tv usage fees (gov. fees) and other stuff it would be a $14.50 increase. so i changed it back or tried to. during the call my internet shut down and my router had to be reset by tech guy so that was another 30 min spent getting back online. then they transfer me to customer retention. who was trying to explain what happened. he explained that the deal was never for 75 mb it was to get basic cable added on. something I never wanted. if i stuck with the plan i would not have 75mb I would have 25mb regardless and the worst part he couldn't put me back at my original deal before because that was a new customer deal. so i spent 3.5 hours on the phone with comcast to be right back at my same plan paying $5 more a month for nothing....... If you ever get a call from comcast saying they will give you a better deal don't take it. get details and call back later and talk to someone else about the deal. never believe those assholes that call you they want to scam you and they have no way of knowing who they were. read more

Started new service 2 months ago. The original modem I was given was defective and spent hours troubleshooting with no luck so thier agent said they will send a tech but I have to pay for it. I agreed, the tech came out and found a defective modem and a cable line problem and fixed it. The past 2 months the service has been up and down and very unreliable. Today the service went out so I called and the agent said the modem is not getting a signal and must have failed and asked me to go pick up a new one. Went to store and picked up a new one, I asked store personel what I have to do to install it and he said "just plug it in and connect the cable". Well, that was a lie! I tried that and it did not work, called the phone agent who said you have to "reactivate the modem, download some app, and reset up service". Tried that and it did not work, called the phone agent who spent another 45 minutes troubleshooting and reading me boilerplate language about covid policies, pets in the house if a tech visits, possible charges if the fault is not thiers, blah blah blah blah. We finally got to the part of scheduling the appointment and first available is 3 days out. In a world of "work from home", Comcast/Xfinity can't fix internet service and still has not adjusted to the reality that cable service in today's day and age needs to be cheap and reliable. Instead...Comcast/xfinity is expensive and unreliable....is it any wonder why people are cutting the cord? God I can't wait till 5G or wireless service can replace cable companies for home internet. read more

I have some important news for you as to how to get the attention of anyone who cares at the worlds worst company - Comcast!! When you get one of Comcast's alleged Customer Representatives, and they lie, give you false information, put you on hold for a half hour, tell you to hold while they get a supervisor, but only really give it to another flunky who says they are a supervisor, and require 5 added calls to get nothing done, do this after the ordeal. Calls the headquarters, 215-286-1700 and ask for Neil Smit, President. They will transfer you to what is called the Executive Service team or something like that. Tell that all about your experience and they will then take it on to get it done. You know, if you can believe it, after 5 customer calls to the 800# where I was lied to, kept on hold, given all sorts of promises, when I got this team involved they sprung into action. I got a call from the local Comcast in Florida like an hour later, got a call from the service company who blew off the prior appointment, and got my problem solved. And, if you can still believe it I have gotten 2 follow-up calls from headquarters AND the local office, to see if I was happy. Hope all of your loathers of Comcast like me who are stuck with them, take this advice to get someone there to care about the horrors you have suffered with their so-called customer service (ha ha) representatives. read more

Where to even start. The contractors that came out to install xfinity internet at our home in West Palm Beach damaged the roof, and decided it was easier to push the cable through an attic vent instead of drilling it properly through the wall. Took literally months to have someone come out here and look at it. Still waiting for someone to come out and fix the damages. The actual service is dismal as well. I'm getting 5-6 MBPS when paying for 75. The technician supervisor came out, confirmed it's a line issue outside of the property running to the main hub. Put in a ticket and said it would be resolved in 72 hours. This was 7 days ago, still not resolved. Long story short, going to pray they actually fix the damages and go back to Uverse. read more

Their customer service stinks. Like many huge corporations that care nothing about customers, they have their reps read from a script while ignoring what the customer tries to tell them about the problem. I've had trouble with my cable tv reception for three days. On the second day I did an online chat with one of their reps who insisted that the problem was my failure to get some new digital cable converter, even though my reception was fine for months after the conversion of all US stations to digital signals. On the third day I spoke with one of their phone reps who suggested I unplug and re-plug the cable. I called again after that failed to work and told by their automated system that there is a service problem affecting many people in my area - which is what I assumed all along. Why did their reps waste my time telling me things that have nothing to do with reality? Because Comcast employs a lot of stupid, uncaring people. read more
