Walk away from this company! We paid a lot of money to have some cameras and alarm system (none of which have worked properly since install). They give you a very difficult time sending out a Technician (even when you are paying extra for this service on a monthly basis). Otherwise each Tech visit is $99.00. they have continuously told us our issues are because "of a new software system update", but even after a year this "update" is non-existent. You cannot get out of your. long contract both on the finance part of the equipment (which is always faulty) and their "monitoring" which is only the customer being able to access their own equipment. Look. elsewhere-we have wasted so many hours on the phone with them and they still can't fix (and refuse) to provide to change the equipment outdoor a new version. this company is total aggrevation. read more

I had a new roof put on my house and the roofer gave me a doorbell. It was good for three years. I called the company which is this company to send it back. I can't send it back. I do not have an alarm company with this company. I just had this doorbell in the front of my house. Anything I had to do with the lawn my lawn company took off of my house because I get one with my HOA fees, which is Adt. I have had Vivint for two years. The first year was good but the second year was horrible. System was corrected by using the phone and in some cases a technician came out to repair the system. I was on the phone with them for three straight days and they could not fix the system. There were things this system was supposed to do. And there many things that the system could not do. Finally a technician was supposed to come out to try to get th sywtem working again. He was supposed to be here between 4 and 6. At 6:40 I called Vivint to report the technician still had not arrived. I was told he didn't come because there was no one at home. I had been home all day and was still at home when I called at 6:40. I was told no one answered the phone and the technician had left a voice mail. There was no voice mail left on my phone. Later I received a text message saying the serfvice call was cancelled. After a year of the system not working kor partially working I decided to find another home security system. The Vivint system was rife with non working systems and bad equipment. read more

If you like being your own technician and spending countless hours on hold. This is the place for you. My system constantly breaks down and when I need help it's only a hour long call that ends in me doing all the work. Luckily after 5 or 6 breakdowns they finally are willing to send the part you need for "free". Accept you get to pay shipping on the proprietary part that failed due to no fault of your own and even get the opportunity to install it and reboot the system one last time. I'm a pretty patient person but after not agreeing to pay shipping I was told to call back on Monday as no one was available to help me with the issue. Please do not send your sales people out at night in the dark, knocking on doors selling your products. I do not appreciate it. Last night a young lady came, no badge or uniform, just your sign trying to sell your product. I have my property posted, no solicitation, no trespassing. They should not be out in the dark, and should not go to posted properties. I do not want your solicitation or any stranger coming to my door, especially at night time when it is dark. I have lost respect for your company and sales tactics. My property clearly says at the door, nor solicitation or trespassing. I have no respect for this company now doing this, especially at night time. You are not practicing safety at all doing what you are doing. I'm giving them just 1 star because I have to. I moved to Boca Raton and I installed a home protective system. I'm selling my house it's almost 4 years later and they won't cancle my service. They claim that I signed a contract which I did for a year. According to them it's automatically renewable. A salesman came to my house and told us it's month to month. I had to Block their charges on my credit card. They are horrible. Good luck doing business with shady people because that's what they are. read more

Horrible Customer Service! The company recently released a software that enabled the system to automatically queue an alert at the loudest volume level at 6am every morning. I called customer service who was unable to give an ETA to a fix and would not provide any resolution. I've had Vivint service for over 20 years when I moved from Denver to Florida they continued to bill me and would not cancel my service saying I was still under contract I came to Florida just in time to get hit by hurricane Irma. Now I'm in the process of dealing with the aftermath of the storm. I cannot afford to pay for two months of service I didn't use . Love my vivant security system, makes me feel safe when my husband is away for work! Also we picked the package that allows you to choose what products you want to secure you home with, which I really love the door/window sensors as well as the cameras! I can watch my dogs when I'm not at home to make sure they are okay! The employee that sold the system to me was extremely friendly and helpful when it came to questions and signing up for the security system. I would recommend vivant to my friends and family over any other system ! The only thing I don't really like is that the cameras have to be plugged in to a power supply in order to work so it doesn't look that great going down the wall, if they could do something about that I would have nothing to complain about ! read more
