No one likes having to go into the cable company retail locations, but it went much better than anticipated. This Comcast X-finity store in Sugar Land, TX is very clean and well thought out. Staff is friendly and work diligently to assist customers as best as possible. Most customers come in with a complaints about one fee or the other but the customer service reps really do their best sbd that is much appreciated. Extreme contrast to service I've recieved at their competitor. I still believe they are over priced but the employees aren't at fault. read more

Xfinity is not what it used to be now you can't even speak to a representative on the phone it's all electronic help , I paid and was charged for more gigabytes for faster connection, never had a good reception several different representatives were sent to help and when they'd leave they would say it was fix but it wasn't after a year and a half still having trouble , another representative was sent he checked everything and finally after hooking up his meter he told us that they didn't have this service in our area ,yet I been charged for the services for 18 months now they only want to give me credit for about one month, i been trying to talk to a live representative but haven't been able to , the Xfinity store says they can't help that I need to talk to billing but I can't ever get a live representative. I was lied to at this store when I attempted to make changes to my account. I got on line and found that the store employee flat out tripled prices to me in person! I had errors in my bill. I was unable to speak to a human being for over an hour. It was on a chat /text service only. I was asked the same questions over and over and over..... tbh I had an extremely unpleasant experience with Xfinity. Over ten hours spent on the phone to get a line activated. Clean store with quick service from friendly staff! They took some old equipment from me and then a manager helped me change my xfinity plan to be cheaper with faster internet! She also got me an updated modem and I walked out of the store with faster internet, a cheaper bill, and a new modem that I brought home and set up in minutes. My initial encounter with the employee was not the best. She treated me in a very condescending manner, even making a face. She took my phone and tried different things. As she realized the issue wasn't "fixed" as she had stated, she did try to help resolve the issue. We were trying to problem solve an issue I've been dealing with for two weeks and after 10 hours on the phone with xfinity. While working on the issue, the manager came over and said, "Step away and get back behind the counter." I tried to explain that the employee and I were looking at information on my phone. He said, "Well, it was your demeanor. I can't have you acting that way" The issue I'd been told needed to be resolved at a local store is not resolved, and I left after almost an hour for a doctor appointment. Google Fiber - No Data CAP Verizon FiOS - No Data CAP I am now getting warnings from Xfinity that they are going to fine me $10.00 for every 50GB of data I use over my limit unless I pay them ransom in the amount of 50.00 a month. By default I have a 1 Terabyte Data Plan = 70.00 month If I upgrade to the Unlimited Data Plan = 120.00 month. I already pay over 70.00 a month just for internet, and now they want 50.00 more. I think 120.00 for internet is outrageous. As soon as there is another option available I will drop Xfinity like a pork-chop at a Bar Mitzvah. I can only speak for this location, but my overall experience with NBC's XFINITY/Comcast has been in one word, painful. Wether it's trying to get your service up and running or trying to cancel, it's truly painful from start to finish. Trying to avoid this location? Don't, it's probably the best around, which is saying more that you even realize. Instead, try avoiding Comcast entirely. Unfortunately my apartment complex (Camden) requires use their service, (they provide a discounted rate for Internet but cable is included into rent). We live in Meadows Place, TX. Xfinity, although a wonderful company on the one hand, particularly with it's technology (when it works), we've experienced a lot of down time in Meadows Place, on Meadow Crest Street, specifically. They've visited our home on several occasions. I've called on several occasions. I've texted on several occasions. The response has been "working on upgrading the infrastructure, we are working to get your service up and running, the issue will be resolved by the end of the day,...." I"m exhausted! You may understand because many of us are working from home because of the pandemic. Comcast is the spawn of the devil. With that said and after days w/out internet and hours of endless phone calls/online chats to customer service that leads you straight to Clueless, robotic, Indian call centers...we finally researched their service centers. The experience was surprisingly pain-free. I recommend going during lunch time, when it's less hectic. The front greeter got us checked in and even with 15+ people ahead of us, the line moved quickly with 5-6 stations servicing customers. Station 5's Crystal quickly helped us, was informative, offered help changing modems as well as other help (changing service plans). We were out of there in about 30-40 minutes. This was the first and only positive experience I have ever had with Comcast. Hope this helps you as you search for a way out of hell, I mean, Comcast's service. read more

I need new internet/TV/Alarm services and signed up for a consultation at this store at 1:15. I read the reviews here and was a bit apprehensive about it but wanted to see for myself. I have no doubt as to the experiences of those here. To that I will say my experince was pretty much perfect. Albeit it was to set up service. If you want great service ask for Garrett Stephens. This young man listened to all I wanted and needed. He provided the meat package and went over in detail the TV, apps, billing and other functions. After service is set I'm switching from AT&T to Verizon through them as that coupled with the internet/TV is an epic deal. This is the first step and I'm sure it won't always be smooth but if you need help ask for this gentleman. He was great. read more

I've been to this store multiple times. Typically just an average experience. Today was different. I went in with the goal of returning a TV box and changing my service. I had a bundle with Internet + TV but had not used the TV service due to a malfunctioning box. Took me a year to finally take it to them. I know. I must love throwing my money away. Anyways, I basically wanted to switch to Internet only but also upgrade to a faster speed. Let's move on to why this is even here for you to read. There are a few reasons why I'm finally writing a review (my first review ever on Yelp), but let's start with the visit itself. Today's experience started off great. Someone greeted me right away, took the TV box from me, started the return process, and asked me to have a seat to wait to change my service. Shout out to that guy by the way. If you're reading this, you were great, and I wish I could review each representative separately. But, as I can't, let's move on. Wait time wasn't terrible (mainly because Wonder Woman was playing on the main TV). I then spoke with Amy Nguyen re: wanting to change my service. She was understanding and then proceeded to spend at least 5 minutes (I know that it doesn't sound like a lot, but go ahead and turn on a timer and stand right where you are for 5 mins) just to find a different package. The speed that I had prior to going in was 60 mbps. She ended up offering me a bundle (Internet + Voice) with a speed increase to 250 mbps. Price wasn't too bad, but if you recall, I no longer wanted any kind of bundle. So, I asked for an Internet only plan and whether they had a speed between the 60 and 250. She told me that they do not. She said that they used to have a 150 but that they had gotten rid of it and replaced it with the 250 for the same price difference. I thought that was strange but went along with it. She also told me that the only way to get a better offer for Internet only would be for my "husband" to open a new account as new customers get better deals. This kind of annoyed me as I am single and was not wearing any jewelry period, much less any type of engagement ring or wedding band. But, once again, let's move on. The bundle began to sound increasingly enticing. She played to my cultural sensitivities and told me that calls to India would be free with this service. She mentioned a few other places as well but kept coming back to India. She had asked me what my nationality was earlier, and despite my American citizenship, my knee-jerk response to that or similar questions is always "Indian." Now it made sense why she had asked. The speed with which she moved through the contract (first, she had forgotten to even go over the contract details; she only remembered when the rep next to her began discussing contract terms with the customer whom he was assisting; and, I'm not just assuming that she forgot -- she straight up told me, stating, and I quote, "I'm glad he said contract because I forgot haha") made me a little nervous, so I called my techie brother-in-law and discussed the situation with him. He's upgraded our plan for us in the past and saved us money in the process. I won't go into the details of our conversation, but by the end of it, I decided to just go home and search for plans myself on the Xfinity website. Amy was understanding once again and told me to take the TV box with me and just bring it back once I had made a decision. I really didn't want the box back. I mean it had been hooked up to my TV but not functioning for at least 12 months. So, I obviously did not want to bring it back into the house and have it sit there, by some unfortunate turn of events, for another 12 months. Considering this, I told Amy that I did not want the box back. She then gave me my next option -- keep the internet and speed I had without any other services. I agreed as, by this point, I just wanted to go home and eat lunch. I then asked what time the store closes today in case I change my mind about the plan. She thought about it for a moment and then said 6 but stated that she leaves at 5. She then gave me her business card and told me to just e-mail her if I changed my mind because she works "on commission." She said this straight to my face without any subtlety whatsoever, which struck me as very unprofessional. But, I looked past it, took the card, thanked her, and left the store. One more conversation with my brother-in-law later, I made the decision to switch plans again but to do it from home. Once I got home, I began my search, which brings me to the second reason why I'm writing this review. One of the options I saw was for a speed of 150 mbps. Hmm... I thought Comcast no longer offered that speed? I couldn't believe that she had lied to my face. As the store doesn't have a direct number, and as I did not wish to drive all the way back there to complain to the manager, I present to you this review. I've never had to set up cable before since I've always lived with someone else. I'm currently a new home owner and day 1 getting internet/cable installed has been a sh** show. The guy was here for about 4 hours . Then someone came out two days later to burry the cable cord in my backyard ...i was NOT home when the guy came to my house and he/the company did not call the number on the account to let me know. I get home from work, let my dogs out and my younger nephew said 'uh there's a man in your backyard ' . So yeah they entered my backyard without calling first... shortly after that , i was watching tv then it stopped working (which i figured could be normal) he kept coming up to my door asking me if it was working & i said no about 5 times . Finally he said that there was an outage and someone else would come back later that same day to come fix it . NOONE CAME.... then my nephew sets an appointment for two days later . (The earliest they could do....) Between 3-5 p.m , it's almost 5 p.m , (i have him call because at this point I'm already fed up with the service and literally only had cable/internet working for ONE day with them) , and they tell him that the person is stuck in traffic . WE had to call THEM . They said they were going to credit us $20...... $20 . I'm sorry but That's not worth it compared to how long we've had to wait to get anything working normal. So yeah. Don't do it!!! They are awful. Service is spotty. Data is slow to non-existent. Now trying leave and they are refusing to unlock our phones. That are PAID FOR. They are erroneously inflating our data usage, which causes our bill to be super high. And I've been on hold with "customer service" for more than 6 HOURS now and still not fixed. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We had set an appointment prior to coming, had confirmation and when arriving at the store they claimed they couldn't find it. They did not honor the appointment. So of course we had to wait forever to be seen. When we finally were seen the rep was clueless. We just wanted new internet service. We ended up calling customer service over the phone while in the store. Ordered what I needed and just had them let me pick up the modem from the location. There were employees running back and forth. (Literally) taking selfies while not working. They were very unprofessional and had poor customer service. If I didn't need internet so bad right now, Xfinity would not get my service based off this store. Service does not have as many outages as a while ago. Billing and customer service is not so good. Bills are increased at any given time. They change your balance on you. They will not work with you. This is the most stressful utility bill like paying a car note. I get same response from all my friends who have Comcast. Lmbo! read more

Was here today to return the devices for cable. We've got chromecast, hulu, netflix, and a projector... We barely watch TV these days so decided to cancel it. The cancellation was done online, but the devices need to be returned to the local store. I've returned devices in other places before, so I expected this visit will be nice and quick. Well I was wrong. The store was pretty packed, with customers sitting here and there waiting. The man before me has just placed the device on the counter and the lady in the front desk said "please take a seat and we'll call your name". Nobody greeted me or whatsoever so I just quietly stood at the door. Then the lady signaled me that I should register first and get a number. She didn't ask me what I was here for (probably she can guess from the bag I was carrying) and asked me to enter my first name on the screen. Since our cable was not registered under my name, I was asking if I should put the account holder's name here, but before I finished my third word she just impatiently ignored my words and repeated "put your first name". So I did. And she give me a receipt, took the devices they need from the bag, and told me the exact same words she told the previous customer. I've got another question to ask, but again before I finish my sentence, she impatiently interrupted and repeated her words, paying not attention or respect to me at all. I tried hard not to take it personally, maybe she's a human robot programmed just to repeat certain sentences and get her job done, like one of those automatic customer service systems. So the waiting began, I picked a spot (not many choices, since the store was packed with waiting customers) and started my daydream. The store got several TVs, as well as some iPads for the customer, but after 10 mins I still got bored. To be honest, I was a little bit angry at the way she treated me, maybe it's because a long day for her already (look at all these customers...) she just want to cut the chitchat and get the job done. I'm not a picky customer and usually don't care for service particularly. But I was having a good day until someone ruined it, what could I say? And a sweet voice called my name. Yay. Another lady nicely welcomed me and showed me to an extension counter, and asked what kind of service she could offer me today. She then scanned the devices, printed out a receipt, and it's done, less than 5 mins. The whole process was welcoming and professional, that's what we call customer service. Anyways, just happy we cancelled their cable and don't need to come back in the near future... As to front desk, I'd prefer a self-service tablet to this lady. read more

I am not writing about this location specifically ,i intended to write about comcast as a whole company. My wish is to find out who is the CEO or president of this sorry company ,so I can tell him what a terrible job he is doing ,trust this company is on its way down ,the worst service company that exist ,they really don't know what they are doing .I have been having problem with there services for the past two month and the problem is not resolved ,I don't blame the workers for there incompetence i can assure you it comes from the upper echelon . Yes they give you 20 dollars credit if they don't show on time foe repair ,but if you wait for them every time ,actually seven time this month and the problem is not resolved because the way they operate is like true or false or hit and miss . i took off from work a total of 18 hours waiting for there majesty to solve the problem and still not resolved ,they promise to call you back and if they do it is from an unknown number so in case you miss the call you cannot call back ,now i make around 40.00$ an hour time 18 this is a total of 720.00 $ and they want to give me 20.00 $ ,I do not want your freaking 20.00 $ just fix the job and get some competent employees, I do know you have contractors out there but you should screen them stupid CEO , the contractors blame comcast and comcast blame the contractors ,just for God sake tell me who works for who .
