My internet hasn't worked since yesterday. I spoke to two Comcast people over the phone, and they suggested that I go to the store and switch out my modem. I went to the store today, and as soon as I walked in, Eddy at the check-in told me he could replace my modem right away. He walked in the back, came out, and handed me my new modem. I was there for less than five minutes. My internet still isn't working, but at least the experience at the store was pleasant. Great experience. Staff was really nice. They can get busy on weekday evenings close to closing time though.

I just drove 20 minutes to find out it's a 45 minute wait. They close at 7:00 pm. So if you leave you can't get back in the store keep in mind I have already signed up over the phone and have an account number. Other people are complaining and have left while I was in the store. Why does a simple equipment pick up take 45-55 minutes? The government should not allow Comcast to merge or acquire any other businesses. There are few choices and they control to much of the market place. I guess the moral of the story if you intend to use Comcast then check first how long you will have to waiting to pick up the modem. Terrible , Terrible, Terrible. This is not really a knock on this particular store. It's more about the service as a whole. For many years I've had Comcast & have had maybe 3.5 - 4.5 star service. I recently lost my full time job & had to downgrade my service. This review is not about having way less channels, I knew that was an unfortunate side effect. But what has happened is way more "freezing" & poor streaming quality. I still pay north of $100. A month for basically local channels but was told my dL speeds would be more than sufficient. Not the case. I hate watching a show & it suddenly freezes & restarts for no particular reason. It's very time consuming to call the service & speak to a person. Really sad that this is the case in 2019. I hope & pray things improve. read more

Snobby service. Store smells like a locker room and a Taco Bell restroom all at once. Understaffed. I feel like this is what purgatory must be like if it's real. I already have a ticket number and have done all the leg work with getting an exchange for my broken modem, they have some wank walking around asking if your there for repairs or replacements while the receptionist could have easily done this, could have used that employee for actual services, terrible management, it takes two employees to use each computer to issue a replacement for a customer... First they were throwing fees after promising a certain price and when we told them to pull up the phone conversation they realized we were right. Absolute worst tv service available. I was promised clear tv which is a total lie. Picture is horrible, then when i complained their own technician told me this whole area has an issue and the quality won't get better. I went in to cancel which was handled ok until a week later i got a bill for $220 for a cancellation fee. Why am i held to a contract when they aren't held to what i was sold, "good service". I'm going to switch to directtv asap and will be canceling my Internet with comcast as well because i refuse to do business with a company that didn't give a crap about their customers. This customer center for xfinity customers is a clean, modern space, with a relaxing atmosphere, customer service oriented, friendly and knowledgeable staff, comfortable waiting areas, that made my visits to the center this week on August 5 and August 7, both positive experiences. Who gives a cable company store 5 stars? I'm so used to bad experiences with cable companies, I was completely shocked by how professional and pleasant this experience was! We moved to Pompano and went into get our new service started. Their prices were cheaper than Directv and the service was great. They made installation at home easy and they answered our questions and provided support. After everything was installed, we expected the other shoe to drop and the internet connection to be crap--but its been fantastic! The cable menu interface is great and the remotes light up! After Multiple phone calls, waiting and being transferred to what i would call every possible department they must have, i was able to speak to someone and make changes to my account. Thank you, after 4 hours into the change - no DVR and less channels when everything was suppose to improve - another wait on a phone call and receiving a confirmation email that was not even close to what i suppose to pay. Changes made, again confirmation email all wrong and they cant seem to get right so CANCELED SERVICE! On or about June 16th I was having a conversation with my sister about how my satellite cable company was not going well ie. losing signal, not the best internet speed, price was high etc. She told me she had a friend in management who works for Comcast and how they have really changed and that I should talk to her and she might be able to get me a good deal. So very reluctantly I agreed. I did not get to speak to her friend but a guy by the name of Armando, (they do not give last names or direct phone numbers so you cannot contact them directly) called me and we came to an agreement on price and he set up an installation. The following Thursday June 22nd a technician came to do the install and he told me the box on the pole was BAD and he could not do the installation. I also showed him a pic of a piece of wire that had been dug up by a landscape crew and it had a little insulation scrapped off of it and he said that would have to be replaced as well. He said he would put a rush order on it and they would be out by the end of the day to take care of it. Well by 5 pm no one had shown up. I called Comcast and they said the installers had until 8 pm to get the work done so I waited at home until 8 pm and guess what.... NO ONE SHOWED UP! Well I called Comcast back the next day (Friday June 23) and I got a recording that a crew was scheduled to come out before 12 noon to do the work. With that, I decided to hold for an operator anyway to confirm the appointment, I was on the phone for a half hour and then the representative told me his system was down and he would have to transfer me so I hung up and waited for the installers. By 1pm I gave up and left for the day. When I arrived back home I could see that my newly landscaped yard had tracks in it and that Comcast must have come out and ran the new wire. But when I looked up at the pole I could see the box had not been replaced. The following day I called Comcast back, I was on the phone with them for about 1.5 hours. They did not see an order to replace the box and no notes for any further action on my account. They said they understood the problem and would have someone out on Monday to replace the box on the pole so my installation could finally get done inside the house. On that following Monday June 26th a Comcast Technician showed up and he was there to do the install on the INSIDE of my house. I told him the situation and he went up on the pole and AGAIN confirmed the box was BAD!! He arrived at my house around 10 am in the morning by 3pm he was still outside. I thought, maybe he was waiting for another installer. Well he told me his device did not have internet and that he was going to have to go to his next job and that he was not the right technician to replace the box and someone else would be out to do that work. I told him this was the THIRD DAY I have wasted here at home waiting for Comcast and the last time I called them they had no records of needing any further action. I asked him if he would please give me the work order number that he has for the replacement of the box so if no one shows I have documentation. He said he did not have the NEW WORK ORDER number yet but when he gets to his next job he will text me the new order number. He did finally text the new order number #JB18171251. Many days went by and I had not seen or heard from anyone.At this point I am beside myself. I start calling Comcast again around the week of July 3rd. Again I was on the phone for over 1.5 hours. They AGAIN told me my account was on hold, they had no idea why and they showed no further action pending. I gave them the work order number #JB18171251. They told me that was not a work order that was pending it was the work order number for the technician that came out on June 26th. I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK!! At this point I am completely beside myself!! I wanted to speak to management AGAIN. Finally after a lot of yelling a manager told me that doing this type of work is a special order and it can take up to 14 days for the work to be completed and that they would get it done. Needless to say after getting off of the phone I was very skeptical. A couple days later I decided to try to get my sister to contact her friend about the mess I had been going through. Eventually the "manager friend" called me and was in SHOCK! She said not to worry she would take care of this and she had my back. Days went by without hearing from anyone so I started asking my sister to contact her friend. At this point even my sister did not want to be involved (that is a whole nuther YELP complaint). Eventually on Thursday July 13 (almost a month later after my initial call for service) a field manager with Comcast called me. He did not understand what the problem was but he could possibly be out later that day to get the work done. Unfortunately I am out of space. I was here for my Xfinity modem upgrade after 6pm. There was no waiting time, and it took less than 5 mins to return my old modem & get a new one. Service center has a good ambience for the customers to wait incase. Overall it was a good service. read more

I'm sure this comes as no surprise. The worst company ever. Signed up 9/26/16 with internet promotion of $19.95 for 12 months - as long as I set up auto pay. Signed up for auto pay on day 1. One and a half months later service was disconnected. Customer service could not figure out why service was interrupted or why auto pay was not done as they did have my debit card on file. They decided to give me a new account number. Still no auto pay and was charge a late fee. Third time today with Comcast customer service to try to process payment has I am unable to process because my account is "locked". Called customer service and they are unable to process because they are doing a "system upgrade" today. This is why it is intended not to allow such a monopoly. How they get away this is beyond me. I've only been a customer for 7 months. I've had to have at least one tech out to my house once a month and would routinely loose service that took four or more days to fix. I had to spend two hours on the phone and six different representatives before being able to reach a supervisor. After her begging me to keep the service and offering me a lower monthly proration she finally agreed to cancel my contract free of cancellation fee because they were not able to provide me service. The only caveat is I had to drop off my equipment at my nearest retailer. Upon walking in, there is a girl standing at the front with the worst look on her face--not customer friendly whatsoever. She did not greet me at all. Instead I have to proceeded to tell her what I needed and was unable to even understand her. She could not pronounce her words, I no more information other than 'take this number they will call you' it seems the level of customer service is low throughout the whole company. From employees to service it is all around just bad. So here I sit for an HOUR just to drop off my equipment. So I'm writing this post on the horrible experience that I'm still dealing with. Not one person on the phone helps me. I think every customer service rep and supervisor takes all customers as a complete joke. This all started when a tech. Came to the house to install the service and the guy said that another tech (from Comcast!) needed to come out to reinstall all of the cable wire throughout the whole house because who ever installed it before did it all wrong in the mean time two different techs came out because our cable kept going in and out ALL THE TIME and it would work for about a week and then right back to doing the same thing all over again. On top of the cable not working that I still have to pay for now they add on to the bill that I have to pay for these techs coming out here. Than I was trying to get ahold of someone on the phone for 3 hours and I kept getting transferred to different departments and the one department I needed the females would pick up the phone laugh and hang up. I would call back serval times and nobody from that department would pick up so after 3 hours later I gave up. I was calling to get an extension on my service so my cable and internet didn't get shut off. I wanted to pay in one week from that day I was calling. Long story short nobody helped me they said I couldn't so they shut everything off. Everything was shit off for maybe a week or two. Out of nowhere some guy came knocking on the door stating he works for Comcast and if I pay (I think) 142 on the following Wednesday that they would turn my cable and internet on that night so I had it set up that Comcast would automatically take it out of my account Wednesday. Well I kept checking my account to make sure they took it out and they never did so now it's Thursday and here we go again my cable is being shut off twice now. (I have to keep paying for reconnection fees and more late fees for Comcast mistakes!!) so when I call they basically made me pay over the phone I believe another 145 because the first amount wasn't taking out that was the only reasons why I agreed to pay the 145 well later on that night here goes that 142 gets automatically taking out now. So now that's two payments in one day and I'm caught up on my monthly bill well here goes and now I'm getting charged for all of these late fee, reconnection fees, have a tech come out here to do a crappy job fee, I told them I wasn't going to pay my bill because nothing was working so another tech comes out and he replaced all of the boxes and now the picture is going in and out again. I called maybe last week or two to HANDLE this again over the phone to hear oh sorry that we should of cancelled Comcast a long time ago but yet I'm on a two year contract and tried to cancelled and they wouldn't let me. Also that same guy said he was going to have. His supervisor call and I'm still waiting two weeks later to from him. If this doesn't get taking care of now I'm returning all the boxes and not paying one more dollar to you guys. read more
