A fella came out and looked at the situation. Inside speakers and outside speakers to connect to the record player. When we got a day set on, a guy came out. Really nice guy who knew his stuff, but didn't know this system. It was literally his first time looking at it. He went at it with confidence and got the speakers set, despite the speaker stands missing. When it got time to program it to use he had to just work his way through it. It took more time to get the speakers to turn on right that the installation. They are top of the line speakers, and a great central system. But with the speaker stand situation and feeling hung out to dry on service, it hurt a little.

They were hired to install one TV from scratch and evaluate a second installation where an electrician had done a poor job. Rather than improving the situation, they made it worse. The technician immediately criticized the previous installation but then proceeded to damage my LG Gallery Mount by forcefully yanking it off the wall, damaging both the mount and the drywall in the process. After reinstalling the TV, it was noticeably out of level and had to be removed and adjusted a second time. The biggest issue came with the installation of a standard SANUS fixed mount. The technician repeatedly complained about the mount, cursed at it, and ultimately admitted he couldn't get the TV onto the mount. Instead of working through the problem professionally or seeking assistance, he gave up, packed up, and walked off the job. It's perfectly acceptable to have preferences about certain products, but if you're a professional TV installer, you should know how to install one of the most common TV mounts on the market. Customers hire professionals because they expect competence, patience, and problem-solving skills when challenges arise. The overall attitude was gruff and unprofessional, and I was left with damaged drywall, a damaged LG mount, and an unfinished installation. I expected expertise and professionalism and received neither. I cannot recommend Good Guys Installation based on my experience.

In no way did I cancel on him, that's a complete lie. I only found somebody days later on Task Rabbit, after he failed to show up or respond. He could have just said I forgot the appointment or I was busy or I changed my mind. All of those would have been acceptable. To make up this ridiculous story is completely laughable. Shame on you.

I hired this handyman to repair a closet shelving system that had pulled away from the wall which…read morewas being used for ordinary clothing storage and was not overloaded beyond normal household use. He assured me that the repair, including the anchors he installed, would support the weight of the clothing and items normally stored in the closet. Unfortunately, only about a week after the repair was completed, the entire system failed again and collapsed. The shelving and clothing ended up on the floor, creating a significant mess and forcing us to empty the closet once more. When I contacted him, he stated that the anchors he installed had held and that the real issue was that I needed an entirely new closet system. However, this was not what I was told when the repair was performed. Had I been advised from the outset that the existing system could not be safely supported or that a replacement was necessary, I would have appreciated that honesty and made a different decision. What is most disappointing is that despite the repair failing after only a week, he refused to return and evaluate the situation without charging an additional service fee. I understand that not every repair is guaranteed forever. However, when a repair fails within days and the customer relied on the handyman's representation that it would support the intended load, I believe standing behind the work and at least reassessing the situation is reasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. **UPDATE: With respect to Mike's response, many of the implications are categorically false, namely, that what is remaining of my closet is still usable and "hanging". The anchors screws, and brackets have bent and are misshaped. He also indicated fixed my toilet for "free" when, in fact, he actually exacerbated the issue and spent no more than a minute looking at the toilet and twisting the float and fill valve. So the contention that he was being generous with his time is unfounded. With respect to the text messages he's alluding to, admittedly, he did indicate he did not warranty his work, but also claimed "I'll also say this, I've never hung any shelving in somebody's called me back later and said that it came down". Moreover, "I can tell you that it's gonna go in with anchors at hold 220 pounds each and there's probably gonna be three or four so outside of that hopefully it lasts a long time". That said, given the estimated weight of the closet was no more than 150 pounds, that was less than 35% of its intended total weight, which should've held it without incident. Moreover, it's only been one week as opposed to two since he performed the job Finally, the mere fact that he wouldn't return to audit the job or two provide structured guidance and repair onsite as a gesture of Goodwill is woefully inadequate.

I contacted the shop immediately, and they acknowledged that the screen was defective and assured me they would repair it under their warranty. Unfortunately, it's now been almost two months, and the issue still hasn't been resolved. I've been given repeated excuses and delays, and more recently they've stopped responding altogether. It's extremely frustrating to pay for a repair only to end up with a defective screen and then have to chase the business for months without any resolution. Good customer service doesn't end once payment is made. Standing behind your work and honoring your warranty should be a priority. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.

I ended up changing the bottom lock as well as the top lock. I wanted a good quality lock. He installed the same lock that he uses at his property. Saving money is not number one when looking for good security. Then I paid him to fix the sliding glass doors. The owner also helped me with hurricane shutters that would not close. He explained that shaking them and moving slowly while holding the upper and lower part of the accordion shutter works best. The prices were reasonable and the value for service received was good. I will definitely use Angel Locksmith every time I need a locksmith now.

Affordable Installations was fantastic to work with to have my new TV mounted on the wall. Princeton provided a price quote over the phone, a very reasonable cost. On the morning he was scheduled to arrive, he communicated to confirm the appointment, and he arrived within the time window he had said he would. Princeton and his assistant Patrick worked quickly and efficiently, mounting the TV wall bracket, installing a new electrical outlet at the elevation of the TV so no dangling cables, and running the AV cables within the wall so the finished installation on the wall looks clean and sharp. They contained the dust and debris caused by cutting into the drywall, and cleaned after themselves. They were in and out in just a little more than two hours. It was a high-quality, professional operation and I am very pleased with the results. I recommend them completely! read more

Setting up an appointment was very easy and quick. I called and spoke to Princeton, he gave me a price and we scheduled a day/time right then and there. Corey (who was very professional and respectful btw) installed a swivel tv mount in my bedroom and I am very happy with how it turned out. I am the first in my home to mount a tv to the wall, but will definitely not be the last. My family loved how it looked so much, they want to have all the TVs in our house mounted now. Princeton, the owner of affordable installations did a tremendous job of installing my two TVs in my new house. He hid all the wiring without even asking, and even velcroed the mini receiver to the wall next to the TV that makes it look even more clean and nice. Best Buy was trying to charge me triple what they charged me plus Princeton was honest enough to let me know because my building is old there is a metal in the middle of the wall and he went and got the strip to cover it and did not charge me additional where Best Buy was going to charge me 50 just to do that!! read more

Princeton was delayed due to a major traffic tie-up, but still kept his appointment with me. He installed both my stereo and blu-ray, dvd and vcr tv equipment. He was very professional. He gave me options, installed my equipment, showed me how to operate it and provided extra speaker cable. Professional and affordable as they say! They really go beyond to make your system what you need, from working with an old existing setup, to recommending an upgrade that would better meet our needs. But they didn't upsell us the new receiver until we asked. They even came out on a Saturday morning to fix our surround sound before a big family dinner. As good as it gets! Affordable Installations was incredibly reasonable on price, their installation was flawless. Princeton installed a 55" 4K LED for my grandmother. They were very professional, tidy, and patient in explaining how to use the components. She couldn't be happier. Setup looks fantastic. If you have any home theater need, don't hesitate. You must call Princeton when you need an installation. Great work, great value, very professional. I called them on Monday, they came out on Tuesday and not only mounted a 40" Monitor and complete install with cords behind the wall, they also fixed the installation I had for another TV that was not well done. read more

This was my second time hiring SAV Technology, and Ariel did a great job both times. The first…read moretime, he installed a TV on a concrete column between walls of windows -- I was skeptical, but he made it look fantastic. When I moved, he removed the bracket and reinstalled it with my TV and speaker at my new place, along with a Samsung Frame TV and another speaker below. The setup looks clean and well done. I had a couple of concerns: during the Frame install, it sounded like he may have hit metal when drilling, and during the previous bracket reinstall, I briefly worried about the electrical panel behind. Also, the blue protective blankets left dye on my tile floors, which took a few scrubs to remove -- so a heads-up if you have porous tiles. Overall, very happy with the results -- just shy of 5 stars due to those small issues.

He explained why it may be a challenge.. then took the time to give and explain multiple alternatives in how i could possibly get it repaired... which was greatly appreciated! I literally cannot believe this company's insane reply to my review. He texted me on March 22nd…read moreasking me to confirm the appointment for March 23rd at 3:00 p.m, which I did. He then did not show up for the appointment, nor did he respond to any of my texts on the 23rd asking if he was still coming and what his ETA was. That's it. In no way did I cancel on him, that's a complete lie. I only found somebody days later on Task Rabbit, after he failed to show up or respond. He could have just said I forgot the appointment or I was busy or I changed my mind. All of those would have been acceptable. To make up this ridiculous story is completely laughable. Shame on you.
