Ed and his crew at The TV Guy are top notch. I have them install 4 TVs, Sonos sound inside and out, Ethernet wiring into a renovation. They know what they are doing, care about doing a quality job and reasonable. Just as important (and arguably rare) in South Florida they are reasonably priced and honest. I needed a universal remote programmed. Two visits from the Geek Squad resulted in their refusal to even try to connect the remote to the tv, the cd player, the apple tv and the tv streaming. It was complicated, but The TV guys came on time and did a perfect job. read more

Bought my 4K tv at Best Buy and they quoted $330 for delivery and installation. No thank you ! Brought the TV home, checked yelp, and called Ed the tv guy. Great decision. Ed and Alex showed up early for their appointment (Yes not just on time but early - in miami !) , swiftly set everything up, clearly knew what they were doing, and helped me with the settings and navigation. I meant to review these guys months ago. We had such a good experience with Ed and Alex. My husband loves his TVs. Wanted them hung properly and have everything up and running. I highly recommend The TV Guy because they did excellent work installing two TVs in my house. Their work was top notch, very secure, good value, and the wife was happy because they left everything very clean afterwards. Plus, in addition to being reasonably priced, they are insured and the work is guaranteed. After contacting many companies, Ed was the only one that honestly told me that additional wooden support would be needed to hang a large TV with a full motion (articulating) mount on metal studs. The last thing I want is my TV to fall and the wife to say "I told you". I imagine a TV falling is worse than dropping your cellphone and it cracks, so, I wanted a professional, who would install my beloved TV correctly. They called beforehand to confirm and to let us know they were coming. There were on time with the appointment and after a brief introduction, went straight to work. The guys were efficient and professional and the wiring was very organized. Before leaving, they ensured we were happy with the placement of the TVs and all the TVs were working properly. We're going to us The TV guy in the future to help with wiring my AV receiver/ speakers through the walls and wiring for my security cameras. read more

Unprofessional. The night before the job (that was scheduled 2 weeks before with all the details) he started asking questions (mind you, only after I messaged him to confirm). Because of an installation in studs went from $150 to $350. He has good reviews on yelp, but don't trust him unless your installation is light and easy. read more

Like most companies at the beginning of a new year, we were swamped with work and needed help moving some TVs. An 86 inch tv needed to be wall mounted, and the other two tvs were shuffled into other rooms. I called up The TV Guy and they were the most responsive of all of companies we communicated with. We set a date with them annnnd...we had to reschedule twice through no fault of their own. They were patient with us throughout this whole ordeal. When they finally came out they were professional and exceeded our expectations. They were ready to paint our walls for us! Great company and we will use them again in the future! When I moved, he removed the bracket and reinstalled it with my TV and speaker at my new place, along with a Samsung Frame TV and another speaker below. The setup looks clean and well done. I had a couple of concerns: during the Frame install, it sounded like he may have hit metal when drilling, and during the previous bracket reinstall, I briefly worried about the electrical panel behind. Also, the blue protective blankets left dye on my tile floors, which took a few scrubs to remove -- so a heads-up if you have porous tiles. I called Edd Helms to service my A/C on a Saturday. I understood that this would be an emergency…read morecall. Technician came out and diagnosed the compressor fan was bad. I was charged $1877.00. Well, the fan failed again. I called Edd Helms and they sent a technician. The technictold me it was not the correct fan and said the last technician installed a temporary fan to get the a/c working. I told the technician I was not notified during the repair that the fan was temporary. So, the second technician replaced the fan. (the previous fan motor broke within 2 months). After the right fan was installed, the technician said that it would be a $500 charge. I said the other fan should be under warranty, I just paid $1877.00! He put the manager on and I told him I was not paying for another motor after I spent $1877. This part was under warranty. We'll, the manager told the technician not to charge me. Now, 6 months have passed and the fan motor is out again. I called Edd Helms. The lady was nice BUT told me that I was put on a "do not repair list" so I could not do business with Ed Helms. Further, no manager was there today to explain the reason for no repair. Edd Helms is not reputable at all. The price was very high and the repair failed twice. Do not use this company!!

Ed arrived on time to give me a quote for a difficult run, around triple pane glass sliding doors and a 6 foot open doorway, to connect my rear surround speakers. In detailing what they would need to do in order to accomplish this and best placement for the speakers, I knew I was receiving a good price. I had to reschedule and Ed was easy to work with in setting a new date/time. On that day, Ed and Alex arrived on time and got right to work. They were cleaning as they went and once the job was completed, it was as if they weren't there. We went through the calibration of the speakers and I found out about a couple of modes I didn't know my receiver and TV had. I am already recommending them to a couple of friends and will certainly use the TV Guy for any future needs. Ed dismounted my 75in on one side of town and mounted it at my new home on the other side of town, I also added a 55in in my bedroom w/ a new sound bar. Very professional and top quality work!! They arrived on time and even called 30 minutes ahead to let us know the exact time of arrival. They explained everything they were going to do with great detail before actually starting the job. They mounted two TV's and connected the subwoofers. If you're looking for a great guy to not only install your TV meticulously, but when you call him a year later and you're having trouble with that stupid remote, he takes 20 minutes out of his life and tells you how to fix it!
