After receiving other quotes we chose Ultra Technologies Group to revamp our theatre system. Our theatre and projector/screen and AV system had been completed about 20 years ago with minimal revision. It was somewhat of a challenge for the new team to implement the new system which included a new screen, projector and AV system because of the way the other one had been done. Joe came over first to assess and help us decide what needed to be done. He was eager to help and went from basics to specifics in his explanations. Everything he suggested was correct. When it came time to do the job, which occurred very quickly after estimate (no long wait time), 3 members iof the team came to do the work. Joe, Jonathan and another person. They were very professional and helpful. They dealt well with the "red tape" of coming to work at a condo and were always positive and optimistic. No problem along the way was too difficult. They were able to help to correct some things along the way, such as speakers throughout the house without having to charge us extra for new things that just needed adjustments. Our theater is now up and running and even when we have experienced minor glitches (mainly ours) they are always available to speak to immediately and help us trouble shoot. During these challenging times of the pandemic, companies struggle to maintain a level of staffing. The week of our schedule appointment several techs had tested positive for Covid, and so we had to reschedule twice, but once we were able to iron out the staffing issue, Ultra was able to get two techs out to the house. I have always found the techs who work on my electronics at my house to be extremely knowledgeable, so I will continue to use Ultra for my installation needs. But I must say this time I have a couple of concerns. I was in the process of painting my kitchen while the guys were in the family room mounting an 85" tv, I heard quite a few complaints from joe about how I had done several things wrong that made his job harder. If I didnt need the install I would have thrown Joe out of my house at that time. The customer does not want to hear you bitching about what they did wrong or how much harder your job is because of their actions. You are paid to do the install not bitch about your client to your associate. It is unprofessional and made me feel very badly. Frankly keep your mouth shut and do your job. Second after the project was over you spent two extra hours trying to tweak the system. Basically running up the bill, not cool. Santiago kept looking at me basically apologizing for Joes antics. With that said the TV looks great the system works well, so were good! I will use Ultra again, but I will insist that Joe not be one of my future techs. read more

I also contacted Crutchfield; a consumer electronics dealer located out of state to find out who they recommended for home theater installation and Ultra Technologies is listed first on their list for South Florida. I also chose another of their installers for a quote as well as another home theater installation company from Yelp and Ultra Technologies estimate/quote was not only far superior to the others but also gave a breakdown of charges instead of a lump sum. I already had a contractor scheduled for March 1st, 2023 that had been booked 1 month prior who had also given me a lump sum quote with no itemized breakdown and then changed installation date and time multiple times when I decided to go with Ultra. Giuseppe ' Joe ' Moretti; their project manager came to my home on March 3rd, 2023 to eyeball my new equipment and my home theater area and discuss what was needed and to give input and recommendations for the upgraded install and to work out a quote. His ideas and input was much to my liking and a quote was received later that day as well as an appointment for March 10th for the install. Joe arrived with a very enthusiastic and highly trained technical partner, Jonathan Mendez and they proceeded to transform my older home theater setup into a fantastic sounding Dolby Atmos configuration utilizing my new Definitive Technology Atmos Speakers and installing my new LG OLED 77" Flat Screen TV as well as paring down my older antiquated equipment and removing the older spaghetti type wiring and updating/rewiring the entire set-up. I recently bought a house in Davie and one of the cool things about it was that it had a home theater room that was very well done. There was a screen but unfortunately the previous owners had removed everything else of importance including the projector and sound system. Me being completely technologically in-adept knew that this was a project that I could surely mess up and/or overpay for if given even the slightest opportunity. Central note: my oldest son actually was tasked with the role of identifying someone to help us do this (read: do everything) and he found Joe. Enter Joe. Joe came to my house, handed me a beer holder (affixed with the Ultra Technologies insignia) as a gift, and proceeded to evaluate the existing theater in excruciating detail, accompanied by a stream of consciousness most of which I did not understand in the least but which sounded so authoritative that I could only nod my head and say to myself, "this guy knows what he is talking about!" Joe then sent me his suggested equipment and invoice and after some very quick research it became clear to me that he was offering a very reasonable price complete with full installation. On the day of installation Joe came with his excellent team and made sure everything worked to perfection before he left. And because his team encountered a few hitches, he stayed late to finish the job. He then taught us how to use the thing (which was very easy) and left and I have had zero issues with the system (and my family has had many hours of viewing pleasure since). I never really thought of myself as a "home theater guy" but felt compelled to do this right because the house that I bought had a great theater room. But I (and more importantly, my family) has loved watching movies and shows on the theater and have found it far more enjoyable than expected. I recently bought an outdoor TV and soundbar from Best Buy and their installer (which was free) did a good job mounting the TV, but had no clue how to set it up with the soundbar and Roku nor install the security lock that I bought separately. These guys are intensely professional. Their work ethic is impeccable. They do complete installs (so, not your typical home theater installers). They will not jury rig your system or half-ass any part. They'll do whatever is necessary to install your stuff properly. They'll go through the walls, inside the walls, through the attic, and around the outside of the house and they'll clean up and paint at the end. So many home theater installers won't do even half of that. It's hard to find someone who will install things right, so I felt very lucky, but these guys did a lot more than what's expected. They did extra things like helping me install my Nest thermometer, helping with an electric outlet that wasn't working, etc. There is simply no other alternative to these guys that even comes close to their level of service. They're not cheap, but they're not too expensive either. Get it done right the first time and pay what they're worth. You won't be sorry or have to redo any part of the job. read more

I used this company three years ago for home networking and wiring as well as TV mounting. I moved and needed the services again. I remembered Mr Moretti's name and I called him to set up another appointment. I was very happy with them again. Especially Mr Moretti knows the very intricate details about networking and wiring. He did an amazing job again with installing a router hub and connecting all the CAT 6 wiring in the house so we can have flawless wired internet. He also mounted a 75 inch TV and it looks perfect. I have a home theater that was built out 15 years ago and most of the components were beginning to fail. I am writing today to submit my sincere complain of the extremely poor service I have received from your company on December 24th, 2020. I do not usually write on any company's website, however due to unreasonable service I would like to put my sincere disappointments for a last minute (actually the same hour) cancellation after being confirmed for an appointment via email. As a result of this cancellation, we called and communicated our disappointment and requested a reason for the cancellation, but without any valid response for cancellation, the company then proceeded to terminate our contract. Your representative was very rude and inconsiderate. We repeatedly tried to ask for a reason for a contract termination and last minute cancellation, but there was no professional logical response from him or the company. We have joined your company's service in July 2016, putting an significant amount of money investing in a sound system. Back then the service was great, fast forward to now, calling for any type of service has been very difficult. We will move on with signing up with a much more reputable company to continue our system maintenance services, but we want to makes sure other customers are aware that the level of follow up services were poor and disappointing even though we were loyal customers. I trust this is not the way ULTRA Technologies wishes to conduct business with valued customers. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn about how you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I called a few companies listed on Yelp and left messages on their voice mails. Ultra Technologies was the only company that responded immediately. The others didn't respond at all. We set up an appoint for a few days later. They showed up on time to give me an estimate. I had to have my whole home theater rewired in three rooms. There were about 50 wires all over the place. It was a mess. They assessed everything immediately, and instead of exaggerating the problem, they told me it's no big deal. They were able to get started right away. Within two hours, everything was perfect, all wires disappeared and all the electronics were synced together. They took care of three rooms.
