The store and it's people were good; professional but not over friendly..BUT, Comcast as a company? They suck, big time!! We tried to get service in Bothell-- after a few days, they came and hoooked it up but no go....we couldn't get connection. Then they tried again...yes, Houston, we have connection but wait........ connection speed was slower than dial-up...and sporadic. So we moved-- and I reiterate-- two weeks of "service"...one week of nothing and another week of speed so slow that we could not even use the computers.... How does Comcast treat us?? By giving us a bill for not only two weeks of "non-service" but also a bill for $250 for an early disconnection..... Wow, corporate entities...you just gotta love them! As for us, we will be strongly supporting the local companies from here on in and watching the papers (with fingers crossed) for the demise of the likes of Comcast.. Filthy robbers!! read more

Our business doesn't use them, but they are harassing us to start.....we tell them every time that we're good, not interested, but my God they don't take no for answer. Corporate people came in today saying that we made an inquiry 2 YEARS AGO and wanted to know why. I said that was two years ago and we're still not interested, and they still said they were gonna call and set up an appointment. Anywho, just letting off some steam. Nice looking waiting area but understaffed and no sensible express lane for simple things like swapping a box or remote. Also, (like this time) it always appalls me when there is an obvious line and demand for customer service and the agents pretend like they don't even see you as they continue organizing their areas and continue to ignore you. We all understand getting backed up and (sometimes) the necessity to complete a task before helping the next customer. Consistent technical issues with the connection. Got sent eventually to "tier 3 support" who just tried to pass me off again.

First off, I'd give no stars if I could! Very negative management and puts the blame on the customers. Dan Burton made it seem like it was my fault and telling me that we the customers are lucky to be able to come int a store and deal with issues. Poor management as you should never blame anyone for anything. Take responsibility for the company you work for. Over 30 mins on the phone and then driving over 30 mins to exchange equipment and waiting another 30 mins to do that. We came in tonight to change my mother-in-law's cable bill because it was WAY too high for what they had. FYI my mother-in-law is from the old days and hasn't changed her cable since they've been there from 1992 so they were paying about $194/month with no HD, wth!!! Let's start with the good- Randy Duncan (the agent who helped us) was super cool and chill and really wasn't trying to sell us things we didn't need. He lowered her bill by about $70 and now she has HD and all the channels her heart desires. So he gets 5 stars for that. The bad- They get 1 star or no stars for their customer service. The host woman came off very rude to my wife when she simply asked if they had a restroom, her response was "it's for employees only" and just walked away. I mean there's a nicer way of saying that and especially if you see that someone has a toddler that maybe you can make an exception or point us to the nearest restroom. I know it was close to closing time but sheeeezzzz!! But anyways go see Randy if you want good customer service and bypass the check in table if the woman who I didn't get her name is there. read more

If you live in this area, you're most likely going to have to work with Comcast for something. I have a long and tragic history working with Comcast, and this past Sunday, there was a big sportsball match on NBC. I turned on my TV that morning, and my NBC channel was scrambled. I did my due diligence and contacted Comcast support via chat. The rep "sent a signal" and somehow managed to remotely fry the cable box. The box display would only show a "0," buttons were non-responsive, and the TV was black. The chat rep said the only thing that could be done was having a technician come to my house, but I knew of another solution: cutting the cord. I'd been meaning to do it for a while, and this was the last push I needed. Luckily, this Xfinity store was open (though with limited hours) on Sundays. I arrived at noon and there was already a line of at least 15 people outside. I thought it would take forever, but they have a nifty little check-in system, and I was working with a helpful (and friendly!) associate within about 15-20 minutes. After years of working with Comcast by phone, I was absolutely shocked that the people in the store were so easy to work with. The guy who helped us first switched out the cable box, and when I said I would actually rather just cancel cable altogether, he made the switch in my account with no sales tactics. Shocking. I hope I never need to contact Comcast again, but the next time I do, I'm just going to pop in to the store. read more

Came in to update my equipment; after 2 month having issue with my internet as I needed to update all my equipment which the customer service rep didn't mention it or the rep in the store that I only needed to update the modern Now I'm here and just to update my equipment takes up to 20 minutes to which the front guy been saying it to everyone so technically is not 20 min is longer. Their product is decent, but customer service is always problematic at best. I had a phone through my ex partners cable, although we have not been together in over a year Xfinity will not provide phone service unless you have cable as well. Although I was added as an authorized person to access the account multiple times, every single time I needed something they had no record of it and since I don't have her credit cards etc. have been denied access to the account. They're not even able to look up MY Account, by my phone number even though it is separate and billed separately with my credit card. Incredibly frustrating, and there's really no excuse for this kind of stupidity with the technology that we have today. There's no reason why they can't segregate those accounts in their system, or track all the times that we have added me as an approved access person. Customer service in the Alderwood mall store is at least moderately friendly, and they attempt to be helpful but unfortunately they work for a company that makes it pretty difficult for them. read more

Comcast/Xfinity will randomly rise your bill and start charging you for equipment and services you don't use and never requested. Its theft and good luck trying to get back what they stole from you. You get the run around and have to jump though hoop after hoop to try and get back what they owe you. My bill nearly doubled within 8 months and I never made a single change to it. read more

I was dealing with a very difficult move for my parents and it was delayed by the heat to make it even more difficult with the movers canceling less the 36 hours before. I knew the cable and internet needed to be transferred to the new place was told by my elderly father that I needed to call this person because he was so helpful the times he was in the store. My dad also refuses to do online payments because he is so old school that way. My dad also doesn't know a thing about electrics of any kind. I try to help him but he has too much pride and does it on his own. The employees name is Tyler and was unbelievably helpful and I'm really sorry I can't remember his last name because of my dyslexia always causing that problem but this crazy move I've been telling him about. He gave my dad a business card with his name with the phone number of the store but had a hand written number beside it. This was months before, maybe even a year before I even knew my parents were moving and when I realized that I needed to take care of their cable transfer I remember that I had Tyler's business card. I was so stressed out from the move I just called the number and he didn't answer but got an immediate response text with "Hi what can I do you for?" And that response with the timing of his response really made me feel comfortable that I knew I was talking to the right guy. The terrible part on my end was that the heat wave hit and I was supposed to move on the Sunday that was 109 degrees, that's when the movers bailed 36 hours prior. I completely forgot to say anything about this till the night before and I was going to be without cable and internet for days because I messed up and did not say anything till the last second. The part that makes me feel the worst is that when I said something along the lines of "I messed up with the dates and I know it's last second. I am really sorry but I no longer can give you a solid date" I could not tell him a date to when I was going to change the moving date because I had no movers and it was ridiculously hot so I had nothing for him to go by. I felt horrible for dropping that on someone but also horrible because my parents can't go without cable or on demand without going crazy. Tyler responded with a very reassuring and understanding response that was something along the lines of I got you covered. He was the only person involved in this move that just came through with everything that he said was going to happen. I was just a random guy texting my problem that my parents had and it was effortless. (I'm authorized to speak for them through xfinity because they get so overwhelmed). After moving all morning, sitting down to some YouTube and Hulu is all I wanted. Unfortunately it did not work for some reason and I was completely devastated after all I went through with the move and I could barely think straight. Then I remembered that Tyler texted me that morning right when I said I was going to start moving to say that he didn't work till noon and would check to make sure everything went smooth when he got to work. He started at noon but texted me at 8:25 because I said the movers would be here at 8:30. Unbelievable. Luckily I was told to try another cable outlet and I found out that the I was using was not even working. I moved the cable box and router to another cable outlet and it worked. It also worked out great with an appointment to fix the problem cable outlet just a couple days from now. People were going out of there way to either avoid me with helping move or other standard nonsense that comes with moving. He went out of his way to make it happen so I didn't worry about it and I believed him no problem. Not sure if it was because he was so reassuring, understanding of my issue, or just a really nice person but I appreciate it very much. I don't know how the business works and it could have been as easy as clicking the mouse a few times but the response time and helpfulness was way above and beyond. Who wakes up before 8:25 when they start work at noon and gives a very well timed reassurance text to a customer like that? Very well done and thank you again. read more

What can I say that hasn't been said? Shady billing tactics, mediocre customer service and even worse, the actual product and service that you are buying is unreliable. Don't be surprised when you find yourself routinely calling their technical support number to have them re-send a signal or explain why their service is down. I would say avoid them at all costs, but they have a regional monopoly, so you can heed this as a warning. read more

I was told there was a new package coming out in July than would do just that. Come July, I call back and there is no such package. At that point I was told that I had the very best deal that they currently offer period. Fine. I decide to free myself of the 130+ channels and just have internet access through them. 3rd call suddenly they want to lower my monthly bill. Suddenly there is a way to lower my bill. I went there to return something. walk in, and a guy greets you, and puts your name on "the list" which is displayed on the wall. I was # 4, so it didn't take too long. My name called, I proceed to my numbered "stall", and the guy seems ok, I tell him I;m there to return this, he says it's not what I thought it was, so only 2 bucks is deducted off my bill. no big complaints, but I always feel rushed, and like I really don't matter.They hide behind the computer screen, and you never get to see it, and when he's done I was expecting a "OK, can I help you with anything else sir?", but that didn't come, just a uncomfortable silence, like I should know to just leave. I always feel demeaned at Comcast or xfinity or whatever it is this week, and the bills are designed to confuse.. we are looking into Dish. read more

This posting is for my nearest Xfinity Comcast store, but isn't about their personal service but rather the Internet Service they sell. Also I'm not affiliated in any way with Frontier. Our Comcast internet worked fine for years until this summer when we started having frequent dropouts/slowdowns. We aren't power users and had the "Performance Internet" (formerly called "High-Speed internet") at $53.95/mo plus "Signature Support" service plan ($4.99/mo). As a side note, we had upgraded to a new $100 modem in January after prodding from Comcast. I used speedtest.net to verify the slowdowns and to show that it wasn't just on our wifi devices but also on our LAN-connected PC running Windows Vista. It progressively became more frustrating so I called Comcast technical support. A technician soon visited, changed some connectors and confirmed that the Comcast wiring from the street into the computer was fine. Nothing changed so I called tech support again and insisted that I speak with a supervisor. I detailed the instances of slowdown or dropouts which I have since learned has a name: "bandwidth throttling". This happened on the hour or half-hour during peak usage times. The support person apologized and promised a $43 credit for lost service. But more importantly, told me that a change would be made at their end that should improve service. Something to do with priority ranking of devices. I was encouraged that finally someone was going to take responsibility to resolve my problem. The throttling continued but now happened at odd times rather than on the hour or half-hour. And after three months there has been no $43 credit. After a few weeks nothing changed, so I called tech support and spoke to a supervisor. Again the individual was apologetic and sent a technician within 48 hours who again checked the connections and found no problems. This technician told me that Comcast can't guarantee internet unless I rent their modem for $10 per month. I said, "Wait a minute, Comcast prodded me into upgrading my modem which I did at a cost of $100 and now you're telling me that even with their "Signature Service" plan you can't fix this problem?". He also said that, because this was a repeat call for the same problem, under the Signature Service plan, I was entitled to a $20 credit. Again, after two months, no credit. He said that a colleague who specializes in problems "on the street" would check things out and get back with me. Several days later, the Comcast truck rolled up and the technician said our signal looked fine on our street but up on the main street (arterial) where it connects to fiber optic cable he was having some "noise problems" which he couldn't work on due to construction. Again, a week passed and nothing changed. I had called Frontier and they offered FIOS fiber optic connection to our house at 30/30 Mbps for $24.99/mo including FREE modem/router and a 3 year price lock. Installation was $9.99. So I decided to try it for a month to compare performance. It didn't take thirty days to see that their service was vastly superior. No dropouts and 6X faster download (30 Mbps vs 5 Mbps) and 30X faster upload (30 vs 1 Mbps). A podcast that took 5 minutes to download now took seconds. When I told the Frontier technician my story, he smiled and explained what he thought my problem had been. He believed that Comcast has too many people trying to use the internet at the same time and their cable wire system can't handle it. Then I remembered that one of the Comcast technicians had said that their main hub/switching station, or whatever they call it, prioritizes from the "smartest to the dumbest client equipment". In hindsight, I guess that means that their premium customers get first "dibs" on limited bandwidth and that the other poor chumps get whats left. So yesterday, 4 months after beginning this saga, I called Comcast and cancelled internet service and "Signature Service" plan. The "Customer Account Executive" very politely listened to my story and then asked if I was renting a Comcast modem. I said no but I had upgraded to the latest modem six months before my problems started. I reiterated that two different technicians had confirmed that the connection to the house was fine and it seems that my signal was being throttled at peak times. I was again told that Comcast can't guarantee internet service if you don't rent their modem. I consider Comcast's tactics unbusinesslike, if not fraudulent: 1) Prodding customers to upgrade their own modem. 2) Coercing customers to rent a Comcast modem in order to receive the service being paid for. 3) Making promises of monetary credit with, apparently, no intention of doing so. 4) Throttling down service while advertising and charging for 24/7 service. Neighbors beware! The good news is we've had no throttling and save $43.95/mo [$53.95 internet + 4.99 service plan + $10 modem] versus $24.99. read more

I returned my equipment to this location having concerns about sending it in via mail/ups. I received a receipt with bar codes showing my return and the date and time - February 5. It was actually a surprisingly good experience. However, it is now March 1 and since then my husband receives automated phone calls quite often saying we need to return our equipment and we got a reminder postcard in the mail today. Comcast, we have no use for your equipment and returned it a month ago!! I have had to place two phone calls into Comcast and am told that I have to continue to wait until they receive the equipment. What the heck?! You received it already and I have a receipt to prove it!! I was also billed for a period after I stopped my Service and was told by the agent on the phone that I have to continue waiting to have it resolved and pay my final invoice. I am so ready to forget this terrible experience with Comcast and get this resolved! Such a terrible experience with my return! read more

Experience was mediocre until an employee named Johnny insulted me and my wife will not be returning to this store anytime soon

I just needed to drop off some equipment because I moved. I came in on a Sunday and was immediately greeted by the main floor person. He immediately directed me to station 4 to be helped by Johnny. Johnny was extremely quick, helpful, and had a great demeanor with me as a customer. He even made a personal connection by talking about something relating to my interest in getting home security cameras installed. As a Sales Trainer, I was extremely impressed. Johnny even moved his computer over the counter to work side-by-side with me to show me that he resolved a little issue that I had on my account. Comcast has come a long way. read more

I had to drop off some old equipment and cancel some services. I had my four year old with me so I was dreading my errand. This place has a waiting system that is awesome. I got checked in. Each rep was very polite and quick. I got my equipment scanned and returned, and got a service cancelled quick with no arguement or upselling, and I was on my way after about 10, 15 minutes. As much as I dislike Comcast, this store made my belief rise regarding their attempts to make their customer service suck less. read more

Erika is by far the best Xfinity employee that I have ever worked with! We came in to upgrade our package and her and some others were able to pick the right one for us. We were told we could switch an item on the package but it might take a few days. So when I came back a few days later to return my outdated box and get an update on that switch, it still wasn't quite available. Luckily the second time I had Erika again and she said I'd get a call/email when it was ready. She emailed me a few days later and has made all the changes to our account that we've wanted! I feel horrible being that needy customer but I NEVER want to work with anyone but Erika again. She's so helpful and went above and beyond what I ever expected. When I called the customer service main line to ask a question they tried to oversell me a package and Erika kept her word on the true price. read more

HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE. Is it possible to give negative ratings yet on yelp?? I dealt with Spencer while upgrading my cable box. I'll keep the story simple but while trying to figure out simple differences in a DVR, I dealt with a sales rep that clearly wasn't attentive when the respectful customer service theme was mentioned in training. When I asked to speak to a manager when I knew his response of "this is the only DVR box we offer" was wrong his response then was "I bet you would." Classic Comcast. The manager was completely respectful and helpful. A fine example for Spencer. When I told Spencer in front of his Manager that he had TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (something someone should be told when the company you work for is in the business of selling to customers and wants them to have a happy experience so they can up-sell on the visit), a brief flash of a muffled "f-you" began to perch itself on his lips before he stated "thank you for your input". To which the manager quickly muffled something to stifle Spencer's wonderful mood. The rest of the visit dealing with the manager was perfectly pleasant. Who knows if anyone will notice this review, but I'm sure if you've ever had shocking customer service, you're mad at first, but when you think about it all, perhaps preparing your review, you laugh at how absurd it all is.
