I had to get my mom an iPhone, so I decided to drop by and check out some plans. They have their Father's Day deal, buy 1 get 1 off. I was in! I mean getting 2 phones for the price of 1, you really can't beat this deal! I was asked to check in and within 1 min or so, I was seen by Brandon. He was very friendly, very patient, and helped me through the process. He helped me pick out which iPhone and told me the latest features since I'm not up to date with any techy things. I decided on the iPhone X, which was a top choice for me bc my mom is more familiar with the iPhone, but this was a good size and user-friendly. It took me very little time to figure out how to use the phone (I have Samsung and it's a solid phone, but navigating is a little more work). Before I decided to leave I was mesmerized by the Apple iWatch, so I decided to browse around. I was sold on it bc I use to have one and was very familiar with the functions. I'm glad now its waterproof and I don't have to worry about taking it off when I swim, or walking in the rain. Now, I had to decide if I wanted the aluminum watch or the stainless steel. The reason was very easy for me bc when I had the aluminum iwatch 2, it froze when I did intense workout (i.e., boxing, HIIT, etc.) I felt it was too flimsy and I had to upgrade my watch to stainless steel. Glad I did bc it went through intense workout and never froze. However, when I was ready to purchase my iWatch 3, they didn't have it available. I was super bummed out. But, the manager, being as awesome as she was managed to look up another location, 15 miles away. Which I'm from waaaay out of town (Cali), I wasn't sure if I was able to find it or get it in time. Jodi, the manager, without hesitation told me that she can ship it to me, or pick it up for me. I was super shocked that she would go out of her way to pick up an item for me. I am beyond grateful of the staff and their generous time in helping me, without being pushy with upselling me, and managing to smoothly find the products and driving to pick up my product. Can I give negative stars? Went in as the rear camera on my 2 month old phone stopped working as well as a mysterious pixelated dot on the screen over where the lenses was located. I work from home, rarely leave the house, and didn't damage my phone. I don't buy insurance as I've never damaged my phone in the 30 years I've had one and feel it's a scam. Was told that my option was to pay off my phone (and by the way, my $800 credit for returning old device would be voided, so instead of $200 owed, it would be $1000). Then I'd need to purchase a new phone on top of that. Sooo, $2000? The other suggestion was to take it to random, Joe Bob's phone repair. I went home, looked up Samsung authorized dealers, discovered one across the street at Best Buy. Geek squad ran diagnostic on phone, said it was manufacturer defect and they'd get it fixed FREE OF CHARGE. Have phone back now and working great. Shame on you Verizon. I've been your customer for probably 2 decades, but won't be for much longer. read more

I worked in retail for an agonizing 3 months, and I always hated when people walked in minutes before closing. Tonight, I was 100% that person. I expected some completely well deserved side eye for making them stay open, but the staff was so nice. Matt helped me out, set me up with a new iPhone, and didn't even act like they were about to close. I've always hated getting new phones. I never really feel like I understand how the charges change and feel like no ones done a great job talking to me in a language I understood before. Matt was great because he walked me through the process, helped me save money, told me about all the promotions, and kept making sure I had backed everything up. I was told it had been pretty busy during the day (it's a Thursday), but it had been slow before I came in. So maybe try checking it out in the evenings. The store currently had a banner on the store-front rather than a lit up sign, so was a little hard to find at night, but is next to the kickboxing gym. Also, while you're there you might feel the store shaking. No, it's not an earthquake. Apparently it's caused by the kickboxing gym and the parking garage below. been a verizon customer for 2 decades. currently have 14 lines opened for my family of 3 (phones, watches, internet etc). wife's 5 month $1200 Samsung flipz4 screen suddenly wasnt working. Went to this store and was told by the rep and store manager there that it was user damage and not a manufacturer defect. store manager was dismissive and treated me and my wife as if we were 'liars' and as if we were trying to game the system. He tried to get me to upgrade my phone and told me if I sent in my phone for replacement that Id probably be charged $1000. Asked him how he arrived at his "user damage" diagnosis and not manufacturer issue and he said that the screen being busted has to be user damage. Went to their 3rd party repair facility (Asurion) and immediately was told that it was a known manufacturer issue from defective hinges pushed up on the screen and that they will replace it at no cost. Will be moving all 14 lines to T-mobile after 20+ years. read more

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from these guys. After I had it a couple days it started to act up. It would restart for no reason and occasionally lock-up. I brought it back due to it being defective and was told I had to pay a $35.00 restocking fee unless I trade it in for the same model phone. Why would I want the same model phone when I had just purchased one that was defective? I tried to swap it for a Galaxy S5 which was the same price but the salesman said he would have to charge me a restocking fee. Why should I pay a restocking fee for an item that is defective??? The salesman while not rude, certainly wasn't friendly. He bluntly re-informed me that it was their policy. So I am out the $35.00 restocking fee-what BS!! Well Verizon, here is my policy: I will never do business with this store again and will change carriers at the earliest feasible convenience. So I came in last night ready to hand over $200+ on an iPhone 5. The person who greeted us was sorta friendly, but kept staring at my wife with inappropriate eyes. We had to put up with his eyes for quite a while, since there were 2 other salespeople occupied, and apparently certain workers are only paid to stand around and stare. Finally when our name was called, the young, dark haired girl appeared to have never been trained in proper customer service, because she couldn't speak in an audible tone. After much questioning, we realized she was trying to upsell us on Verizon's high speed Internet plan. We kindly said "no thank you" more than once, and her final reply was "what, you don't like discounts?" Nice sales tactic. Unfortunately we were desperate for a new phone, and still gave them our money. I really hope this Verizon store learns a better method of training their employees. read more

The manager, Mike Clark, is passive aggressive and lazy. After being "checked in" and told I had to wait to speak to a salesperson to purchase an antenna, I waited at least 10 minutes while other customers were shopping for cell phones - requiring much more time than simply purchasing an accessory. I watched Mike mill around doing nothing. I finally asked Mike if he would check to see if they even had the part I wanted in stock. At first he was unwilling. Then he grudgingly checked only to find out I had been waiting for nothing since they did not have the item in stock. I was very disappointed in this experience and the hapless store manager. Going to this place was a pleasant experience, Matt Chrisman was the one who helped us out. He answered all of our questions in detail, didn't pressure us into buying more, just told us out options, let us know the pros and cons of each plan and option. And when it turns out our phone didn't work with Verizon, again just let us know and showed us some phone options, super chill and very patient. He even let us know what other providers would work with the phone we had. Why even have a store phone if no one is going to pick up the phone. This is what I call a shit service. After 10+ years with Verizon, they told me to go to AT&T for better service plan. WOW, I guess even their employees don't believe Verizon Wireless provide good customer service or plans. Like many, I was looking to upgrade to new I-Phone 6 (all 4 of them). I was told by many the process is better if I went in to Verizon Store rather than mailing it in for my trade in. On my first visit, I was greeted by Oz. Oz spent few moments with me and told me that trade-in value has drop overnight from $200 to $129. Because I was looking replacing all 4 I-phone 5 and promotion did end last night that I should speak with his manager Rob to see if he can do anything for me. I was grateful for the recommendation and left the store with the intent to come back. This is where frustration begins. As recommended by Oz, the sale guy, I call the store back to speak to the manager Rob, when he came in later. I called and called and it just goes to voice mail. While going through the whole automation over the phone again and again, I see that Oz's business card had his cell phone number. So, I call that number and finally got through to speak with Oz. Unfortunately, Oz is about to be off from work and Rob is busy with another customer. I asked if Oz could leave a message to have his manager Rob give me a call back regarding the trade in. He said he would. I wait about an hour and a half, no call back, so I call the store again hoping to get through. I tried 3 times before giving up. It just goes to voice mail. So I decided to call back next day. Called couple more time. I can't get through. I decided it is not worth my time. I decided to call Verizon Customer Care to get my new I-phones. To sum up a 90 minute interaction, Verizon Customer Care Manager told me that switching to AT&T Next 24 plan is better than staying with Verizon. read more

Verizon's customer service stinks, its website stinks even more, so I switched to T-Mobile today, which is also cheaper. I had a landline and smartphone plan with Verizon. The landline absolutely sucked, I couldn't do anything I was able to do on the old-fashioned landline (Comcast & Frontier), like individual call blocking, calling my brother overseas, get ID display so I know who is calling. Today, I drove to the Verizon store at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, to switch to T-Mobile. They wouldn't let me into the store, but an employee came outside and gave me a sheet with phone numbers to call. That's all I got, after driving for 1/2 hr. to that store. There was no line, I was the only customer. When I go into my account online, it often takes several tries, then the algorithm won't let me print my payment history, because I am "not an account manager." For crying out loud! I am the only person on this account, and always have been. Apparently, because I have three phone numbers, Verizon has decided that there must be another person who has access to my account. I just hate it and want to rid myself of this pain in the you-know-what. I used to have a landline with Verizon many years ago and never had a problem in those days. Yesterday I went into the Verizon store to swap phones and my faith was restored and their customer service I used to dread going into the Lynnwood store on Alderwood Mall Parkway because there were a few employees that just we're not cut out to be customer service salespeople and somehow I had always seem to get attended by her, like a magnet... But this last week I dealt with a customer service representative named Matt 2x he was so friendly, calm, nice, pleasant, unassuming and non-egotistical. As you know technology is flying forward so fast sometimes its hard to keep up, he got me up to speed. Matt answered my zillion questions and treated me like I was a human being and was very very patient. He deserves the five-star rating!... thanks! Cons, verizon needs to staff that outlet with more employees at they're busy times. They ironically need to have faster Speed Wi-Fi in there or more of it? I'm not sure what it entails but that's what sucks up a lot of the time and makes the waiting times for every customer longer and so it's a domino effect on wait times there which are excruciatingly long. It makes you really dread going in. If you go in ask for Matt. And bring him cookies I just realized "why" they do not sell batteries for their older phones now, because they are made now built permanently into the new generations of phones... got it. They couldn't generate enough $ probably? But it would be convenient for us laggers..... Also, I'm hearing so many mixed opinions on what sucks a batteries life from the Verizon employees and online tech support...... 1- "don't leave it on the charger after 100%, that's why your battery is damaged." (Which they now say it is not bad, odd....) 2- "I've never heard that." 3- "I don't know anything about that." 4- "buy a charging pad and don't worry about it bc it automatically stops at 100%." Very rude service at this store. I think they are afraid of the COVID. That is not an excuse to take it out on the customers. They pretty much refused to help me, saying, "I don't care", when the store I was supposed to pick my phone up had closed due to the COVID. I went to this Verizon store in need of repair for my failing Droid. The store manager took personal interest in my phone's problem and my need for a replacement. Even though their own computer system for ordering a replacement phone malfunctioned he called in my request and successfully obtained a new phone. I showed up to see about getting a new phone, and of course you can't just go in the store and do your business, you have to get in line and give your info to get approval to get in line. The obnoxious, overweight and foul smelling woman at this store was helping the folks in front if me (and by help I mean she was having a casual conversation and told them it was going to be a 40 minute wait) .....(also at what point do you stop putting people in line and start scheduling customers to come back?) Anyways, during this conversation a handsome looking fellow in expensive looking clothes comes meandering over into the area as if he'd just came from the restroom or something. When the 'receptionist'(?) Was done talking to the couple, she turned to me and handsome guy and started to ask "who was next?" To which I said I was in line before the other guy (I'm a firm believer if you're not in line, you're not in line. Not "oh I was in the restroom so now I'm going to join this line.") She looked me dead in the face and said, " I think this gentleman was next". Referring to the good looking guy. I said that I wasn't going to do business there and left and went to the store in the mall that was much more helpful. This Verizon store is awful. My phone wasn't charging so I went in to see if someone could help me purchase a new phone, or help me with my phone issue. After waiting 20 minutes, Star came over and asked what we needed. I explained that my phone is not charging. She looks up the account and noticed that I didn't have insurance on the phone (the sales manager at the mall talked me out of the insurance). She did nothing to help me, just kept repeating that I didn't have insurance. Not once did she look at my phone,or try a different charger. I couldn't purchase a phone because we still have another 9 months on our contract. She didn't even ask if I wanted to see another phone in case I wanted to pay full price. It was closing time, and the bitch just wanted us out. Very, very rude. - 0 customer service skills. read more
