My review is not for this store but for the Comcast Corporation. Their lobbyists have done an amazing job. In a free market country, we have two providers for Cable TV. Therefore, Comcast can take full advantage of us. In a contract year, how does my bill go from $157.23 to $166.36. The contract does not mean anything. Comcast can raise my cost at will. My apartments had me come to this location to pick up my equipment. I'm guessing other locations have closed down. I'm not sure. I wasn't all that excited about switching back to Comcast because I had problems with my bill before. I had help by a guy named Damion. He was sweet and very helpful. I was in a sour mood going in and he actually put me in a great mood. I do like how you take a number and have a seat at this location, instead of standing in a long line holding boxes. The girl seated in the photo verbally confronted her coworker who was simply checking people in... We made an appointment online so we wouldn't have to wait and the girl seated basically said she could take whoever she wants and it doesn't matter... the walk-in that came in a few minutes ahead of me was going to be seen because she could see and help whoever she wanted... She didn't quite grasp the concept that the appointment online is scheduled to prevent someone from waiting... And walk-ins should always wait behind appointments that's the beauty of an appointment process. Her attitude with her colleague was berating, rude and condescending. He handled it with grace and excellence. He's in the photo to the left. And now I'm stuck waiting because she chose to have an attitude and do whatever the hell she wanted... I've been having intermittency problems with Comcast internet since it was installed last APRIL, and I keep hearing apologies and excuses, but not seeing any results. Dropped by here to exchange the Cable box I had due to technical issues. They have plenty of parking out front and no appoinment needed, walking in is typical. Walked in and took a number and typed my name. You can see your sequence & your name. I will have fun with this next time and name myself 007 :) or something. So I popped in the store this afternoon to pick up my equipment for internet. I called the 800-COMCAST number ordered it got a better deal then the advertised deal that was online. The staff was ready to help. I signed in and was called in 1 minute. (Omg can you believe that?) I provided the man my phone number he easily located the account had me sign the paperwork and I walked out in less than 5 minutes. For this to be a Friday is which is morally busy my experience was great. I will definitely be back and it's awesome to have a full set of staff to service everyone. Unlike so many Yelpers' interactions with Xfinity, my daughter and I had no extreme bad issues. My daughter applied for a Houston account on line while still living in San Antonio over two weeks ago. After moving into her Houston home, she and I went to this store to pick up the Internet and cable equipments for self installation. There was no waiting, so my daughter was able to walk into the store immediately. Xfinity's policy only allowed the account holder to interact with an employee, so I waited in the car. My daughter stated that the 4 employees inside the store and 1 outside were properly masked and the help counters were spaced out properly. There was no problem with her account and she received her equipments within 5 minutes. To save money and to minimize Coronavirus contact, I decided to do the installation for my daughter. It was a breeze to stall and activate the Internet, less than 15 minutes. The cable installation and activation took longer because the cable box keep getting stuck at the final step of the 3 steps activation process. I had to call Xfinity to fix it. But no headache, the friendly tech fixed it within 10 minutes while I stay on the phone with her. My daughter was happy. read more

Let me just start by saying I was not happy coming into this store. Xfinity has been a pain in my butt with our service and bill. I was out of service for 3 days due to there equipment not working. They sent out a tech to come fix it and then charged us $70 plus never adjusting for our 3 days without cable or internet. When we called nobody over the phone was able to help. I came into this store and Eric (Peno) LISTENED to me rant my frustration then called his manager Lupe over for assistance. Lupe was able to look at the account and adjust it. I am still frustrated with the service and Xfinity as a company but I am very please with the support from management and representative Peno. read more

Recently my charge for Xfinity all but doubled. I talked to phone customer service twice and while the first one said he had reduced the charge, the original charge was still on line. I decided to go to this store to see what they could do. I made an appointment and my name was called shortly after I arrived then things went downhill. The rep was very arrogant and informed me that what was on line was incorrect and I would have to wait until the next billing cycle to see what I owed - huh? I visited this store (in Houston on Voss)7 days ago to find out why my "pay as you go" xfinity was not letting me log on and refill. The young lady there went out of here way to help me. Unfortunately I didn't have the serial number on the modem and she couldn't help any more. As suggested I called the phone number given and was disconnected by the machine twice when they couldn't recognise what i gave them. A further 2 stores were visited and despite several hours...they were not able to help. However, today, in the vicinity of Voss again, I called in again to see E...... She again went out of her way and 45 minutes later had my "pay as you go" reconnected. Nothing was too difficult for her.Since then I have managed to refill it and now have internet. I would have liked to call to say thank you but as there is no phone number specific to the store, this will have to do. If you need an xfinity store...this store on Voss is the one to go to (even if it is not your local store) Someone who will go the extra mile for a customer is worth their weight in gold! It's a great store! The locations is convenient and service is great. I've visited this store no renew my internet contract. I usually do it over the phone and it's a hassle. Representatives are usually not knowledgeable at all and it's hard to understand them since the call center is located overseas. This Xfinity store has very professional employees who know everything about the company's services. The representative I'd spoken too was very polite and professional. He'd renewed my contract in no time and even gave me the same promotion for the next 2 years. The only down part about this store - it gets very busy and wait time gets long. read more

In the last couple of months Ive been here a few times and the service has been consistently awesome. When you check in they immediately relieve you any equipment you be holding, slap it with a post it and then give it to the person who will assist you when your called to the counter. The wait has never been longer than 10 minutes and every person Ive encountered has been polite and professional. Ive been coming to this location since before it was remodeled and in the last couple of years the service at this location has been on the incline. Sadly the customer service rep over the phone are nothing like these guys so that why I left for ATT but they still deserve their credit. read more

Horrible company. The only reason Comcast remains in business is because they are the only option for cable in many parts of the city. On this day, I waited 45 minutes just to return equipment. Did I walk into a USPS or DMV? Why do they make you pull a ticket and wait so long to return equipment? Can they not have a self service station to scan and drop it off? Every 6 months they try to increase my rate and I have to call and request cancelation. It is only then that I am offered another promotional rate or the "privilege" to lock in to a two year contract. Google Fiber, pleeeeeaase come to Houston. I had no idea that this place gets packed. Stopped by on a Friday midday and there was a line. The good news is there was sufficient staff and even a check-in process with someone greeting customers on the front door. Everyone was there for a number of things but we were there to get new service. Staff was very friendly and professional. They staff member next to me was helping a difficult customer and he maintained his professionalism. He was only able to take a few moments before the staff member help the next person in line. Long story short, we've been out of cable since Friday thanks to AT&T, so we cancelled our service with them and decided to try Xfinity. Before anything, we called customer service, the gentleman that helped us was very sweet, set up our connection date for this Thursday. Then my boyfriend decided to ask if we could just go pick up a box and install it ourselves to make it happen faster. The customer service guy said we could definitely do that and gave us the address to this place. We asked what time they closed he said 7pm. Once again, the gentleman (whose name I forgot) was a sweetheart and very helpful. So this rant isn't about their customer service phone representatives. Moving forward, my boyfriend got out of work close to 5:30, we drove to that Xfinity store, got there a little past 6. To our surprise, the store was CLOSED. As we check for the store hours we notice that there was a typed note outside stating that the store was closed early due to a "store meeting". We peered inside and nothing, pitch black. The store was empty. As my boyfriend and I are walking back to our car (disappointed and all that good stuff) we see a young man wearing an Xfinity uniform inside of a car, as we got closer, my boyfriend noticed that the young man was sitting in the driver's seat rolling a blunt. Yup! You read correctly, the store was closed early and that's what THEIR employee was doing outside of the closed store instead of being inside and making a sell. We are without a doubt, utterly disappointed. I will be calling corporate today, because we live a good distance from their store, so that was wasted time and gas. I feel like human cattle. I signed up for a $44 special and got a $154 bill. I called for hours to try to fix billing issue, I've logged 190 minutes of Jazz/flute, with break-in voices telling me how important I am, but apparently the 4 people they have employed to handle all calls for the south west united states are busy for busier than usual due to higher than normal call volumes at 3 pm on a Wednesday. I said I was capable of connecting the 2 wires myself and didn't need a truck sent to my house. I got billed $33 for the self installation kit, which is a box with a co-axial, and hdmi, $5 for what ever stream pix is, $50 a year for a digital adapter (you can't buy a TV without one built in) This is for the "preferred Bundle" which doesn't even have a DVR, and 130 channels, of which 4 might get watched. REMEMBER- its Comcast that started Data Caps, Its Comcast got caught throttling streaming services, its Comcast that Lobbies to keep competition out of their areas, its Comcast that has less than 2 stars in almost every yelp market in the US. They are rotten, they know it and don't care. IF you want internet in Katy you're trapped, For TV Amazon Fire, Google TV, And Apple TV, Netflix, directTv, Dish, and Consolidated are your only alternatives. Good Luck. read more

The Website does not work, none of the apps work, can't call store, customer service barely speaks English, making doing anything you need to do impossible. The absolute WORST experience I have ever dealt with. Ever. I can't believe they get away with the service they provided to not only me, but to the twenty people in the store waiting. Their "server" completely stopped working, and the line turned into nearly 30 ppl. I completely understand that this was not the employee's fault. However, their workers would deliberately LIE to make a sale. They would never give me a straight answer if it involved buying a cheaper option. Even the manager was mocking some of us customers. We were asking her simple questions like, "Is there a number to call?", etc. so that we didn't have to waste time waiting. And she just laughed them off and commented on it being lunch time, that we could get back to work a little late. Lastly, I had to call for support about my account. The worker just handed me a box, giving me no information or instruction whatsoever (even after I asked MANY times if there were some instructions). I suggest calling their online support before you go in. It's not worth the stress, time, and money to go in and potentially get ripped off. Unlike the annoying experiences I have when I call Comcast for help I was pleasantly surprised and pleased of the awesome experience I got as soon as I walked through the door. I had to return some equipment, and there's a service center conveniently located by my office so I dropped in recently. The moment I walked in I was greeted by an employee who asked why I was there. She then walked me through checking in and getting a number to wait in line. They are divided into two sections - make a payment and returning equipment - which I think is such a great idea. The equipment line moved a lot quicker because of this. As you wait, there is a big screen TV to enjoy. I was assisted within 10 minutes of arriving - good thing, too, because I was on my lunch break. The service representative took note of my equipment, and I was done in five minutes. I asked him if there is any way to lower my bill, and he said it is always best to come into a store front for help with that because it is better to go over it one on one, and you can get a better deal. Good to know! If I had to choose calling versus going into this location the next time I need something, I would definitely make the short drive here! read more

Oh, Comcast, you spend so much money on infrastructure for your stores and on training for your customer service reps, in order to make up for fundamentally flawed business processes, that I just have to laugh at the sheer futility of the effort. Take for instance, my latest visit to Comcast, when I went to return my cable box. They make you wait in line to get a receipt to return a cable box. After taking the cable box from you. Come on, people! Really? Now, the lounge was well decorated with the latest high-tech gadgets, and my customer service reps were extremely helpful and friendly in providing that receipt to me. But it still makes one wonder: why do I have to take a number and wait in line for 20 minutes to receive a printout informing me that I came to the store to return my cable box? Why do three employees need to be involved in the return of my cable box? Why can't one employee just take the cable box, scan it into the inventory, inform me that a receipt is waiting in my inbox, and then send me on my merry way? And lastly, why is Comcast corporate obsessed with justifying such a nonsensical process by training its employees to tell me that it is necessary to ensure better service for me, their allegedly loyal customer. All burning questions in my mind, but all, sadly, still unanswered upon leaving the store. But in the end, I have to give Comcast at least 3 stars just for sheer effort: four stars for the excellent customer service training on executing the miserable 0-star failure of a business process that they forced me to endure. read more

When I ordered the services they offered me a gift card and a special bundle price, the "saleskid" that had no idea about the offers told me that I going to receive a gift card that never come. After 3 visits to install with installers that are also rookies I get a charge of $99 per installation plus $99 for the cost of the new alarm panel you kidding me? in a almost new home? after a year and lousy service they tell me that they will not send the gift card because a lot of time has passed and have to pay almost 50 dollars more monthly payment. I will try my best not to let my utter disdain for Comcast color this review. Comcast/Xfinity/whatever the heck they're calling themselves these days has upgraded its digs. Everything inside this place is shiny and new. They've even added waiting stations. Couches and counters with iPads so you can explore all the wonderful things Comcast has to offer. Oh joy. They've added a check in counter and a screen that lets you know where you fall in line. Now, instead of standing in a line full of miserable people you get to see the last names of the miserable people while their kids watch cartoons on the iPads. I suppose that's better. Alas, this is the same old Comcast store. Ridiculous wait times and well meaning but ineffective staff. As I sit here waiting and waiting, I even see the same man who gave me the wrong equipment when I moved into my apartment a few months ago. OMG, why in the world are there SO few locations in Houston? I had to drive way out here to pick up our equipment, and totally hated having to drive out here as this was the location "closest" to our new home. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised to have arrived and been quickly assisted by a nice lady who signed me in; in less than 90 secs, my name was called and soon walked out with a large Comcast bag full of all my equipment and accessories. I was in there no more than 5 min; I could not believe it! Well I spent 2 days on the phone with Comcast reps trying to activate my cable/DVR box only to find out in the end that the box was potentially damaged. (insert expletives) Today I decided to trek out again in this direction since I had taken the day off to turn in the keys to our old place and tie up loose ends from our move. Today, they were super busy; however, the same nice lady quickly came right to me and signed me in. There were 7 people ahead of me, but I was called in 7 minutes. I was greeted by another helpful young lady who handled my issue swiftly and without hesitation; in under 10 min, I was out the door with a new box (which thankfully worked). Thank you Comcast for making my experience well worth the drive out to you. I will hesitate no more if I need to come out here again. read more

We had occasion to visit this location twice ... once to upgrade our son's service, the other to replace our defective equipment. Each time we were treated courteously and respectfully. Regardless of how other customers acted (and several were downright rude and offensive) the employees remained non-confrontational, and tried to keep matters under control. If there's one job I wouldn't want, that's the one! The system is a bit cumbersome, and could be refined ... but that's what they have to work with, and they do well with it. read more
