I have been a loyal customer with Xfinity since 2019. Last night when I was watching my show, the cable cut out. I called them, they troubleshooted it about five times. Still NOTHING! Before I hung up with them, they said my internet should be back up & running within a half an hour, & that I will be receiving a credit on my bill. The internet started coming on for a few seconds l, & went right back out. Haven't had it come back on yet! They shed a technician to come out to my house today. They keep calling me to tell me that my appointment is scheduled for today, & called me while I was in the shower to troubleshoot my services. I told her NO!! I'm done trying. I wouldn't even rate Xfinity with one star but that's my only option if I want to write a review. I am so sick of the "virtual assistant" and "live chat" options. All they do is repeat the same response over and over even when you request to talk with a live agent over the phone. I despise having to jump though "virtual" hoops just to eventually get to talk with someone. What happened to human conncetction? What happened to real customer service? My issue began in April of 2025 when I moved into a new home. I have been an Xfinity customer for a long time, well over 10 years, I have always paid my bill in full and when I have moved, I have always returned my rented equipment in like new condition. I have been a very stable and reliable customer for Xfinity. This past April 2025 when I was in the process of transferring my service from, I became aware of the option to add "Storm Ready Wifi". From Xfinity's own website: "Xfinity Storm-Ready WiFi works by providing automatic, unlimited 4G LTE cellular data backup during Xfinity network or power outages, using a dedicated device that also functions as a WiFi extender during normal conditions. When an outage occurs, it seamlessly switches to the cellular network to keep your home's WiFi connection active for up to four hours, thanks to its internal battery backup. Once your primary Xfinity service is restored, the device automatically switches back to its normal operation." This service was to be billed monthly in 36 equal installments of $7. This seemed like a no-brainer to me, as my wife works from home and we have some smart devices that rely on a stable internet connection, so an extra $7 was well worth it in my opinion. Unfortunately, at the same time I enrolled in this service, Xfinity discontinued the service, rolling it into a new program called "Xfinity Pro Wifi Extender". Due to oversight and negligence by Xfinity, I was charged for 3 months of this service, even though I was not provided the necessary equipment for the service to function AND the service was discontinued. So I was effectively billed for 3 months of a service not rendered. I became aware of this fact on July 8, 2025 at 11:28 AM CST when my wife suddenly lost connection to the internet without warning while in an important work meeting. This sudden interruption caused issues for her at work and prompted me to investigate why the internet was out, even though I had paid for Storm Ready Wifi. I contacted Xfinity via the chat option within Xfinity's app to determine what had gone wrong and why. After some discussion with the agent, I learned that the service no longer existed. The agent then offered me a credit of $21 to cover the three month's worth of charges I incurred, as well as a cancellation of the remainder of the term, and a waiving of the remaining balance of $224. While I was still in the chat, I noticed in my billing statements that a charge for $225 had suddenly appeared, and I immediately informed the agent stating: "Something has gone quite wrong. There is a one time charge of $225 appearing on my upcoming bill." The agent went on to explain, stating: "As the Storm Ready Wifi was $252 if paid in full, and since we have just canceled the monthly charges for it, you have been billed for the entire amount. However, please do not worry. Once the bill is generated, you can contact us again to have those charges removed. I have also raised a ticket with the billing team to ensure the charges are removed, so you wont have to repeat yourself." This was the last I heard of the issue, until Thursday, September 4, 2025, when I received an automatically generated text message from Xfinity stating: "Your automatic payment of $299.00 has processed - Thank you" Prior to this alert, I NEVER received any notice that this bill was generated or that the charges would pull, I was only informed AFTER the fact that the payment had already processed, even though I was promised the charges would be removed as a ticket had already been opened. At this time I reached out once again to Xfinity via the chat in the mobile app. I explained once again what had happened, and that I never should have been charged those fees. During this chat an agent by the name of Jatin assisted me and after about 30 minutes of discussion at 9:01 AM CST, Jatin informed me that: "I have successfully raised the request for the $224 waiver of the charge. The ticket ID is #CR219398422. You will receive the result within 24 hours in your email." I did not in fact receive any results or any emails from Xfinity within that time frame. On Monday, September 8th, 2025, the charges posted to my bank account, a debit for the amount of $299. For the 3rd time I contacted Xfinity regarding the same issue, and issue which i was already promised twice had been resolved. During this chat with Xfinity, I was transferred multiple times to multiple agents, which appeared to be a malicious tactic aimed at tiring me and frustrating me to the point that I would willingly give up, however, I did not. I remained in the chat for approximately 2.5 hours and at the end was once again promised a refund within 24 hours. This was another lie. I asked what Xfinity could do to remedy this and restore trust. They refused, telling me I would get my refund in 14 business days. read more

I couldn't cancel online, I had to request that customer service call me, but the link to put that request in was broken. I called customer service and got a bot that couldn't answer my questions, and wanted me to text a different bot. I insisted on getting a human. A technician texted me, I explained the problem, and they scheduled customer service to call me. When I pointed out that they were blocking mailboxes and a fire lane, the blond individual told me "too bad, we aren't moving until we are done." Early July, Xfinity had techs in my backyard to bury a new cable run to my neighbors house. Not only did they leave scrap cable laying in my yard, they left the gate open. I realized this after I let my dog out when I got home from work and he didn't make his way back to the slider to come in and eat. I searched for over 30 minutes throughout the neighborhood, thinking the worse (I live by a busy street) that he got hit by a car. I eventually found him and immediately hit customer service for Xfinity. After 3 weeks of making my complaint known and getting the run around, they offered me a discount on my internet if I signed up for a 12 month contract. I almost lost my dog because of these incompetent people and apparently, my business is only worth a discount as long as I agreed to stay with them for 12 months. What a joke. By eliminated as many USA based jobs as possible and replacing them with Chat bots / IVRs / Out sourced call centers they have made it super annoying to deal with them. I am unimpressed with this company's customer service (CS) and recommend avoiding Xfinity entirely if at all possible based on CS alone. Please keep in mind this is not the first time we've had issues. Lengthy post ahead. I began to notice severe connectivity issues at the beginning of this week. I did all the troubleshooting I could and then called customer service (CS). CS said she could see we had been experiencing connectivity issues for awhile and sent a tech out the next day (Wednesday). He replaced the modem and some wiring outside. The UL speed was still low and inconsistent on all devices along with a 4% or greater packet loss, but he said it was device specific and not an ISP issue. DL was much faster though so I thought maybe the situation would resolve itself. CS initially also said the issue was specific to my devices when I called today (Friday), still experiencing issues. Later, a different tech said said they could see connectivity issues for the past seven days and another tech would need to check wiring outside the house. Again. On Tuesday. Today is Friday. He said this was not something I could see by logging into the modem or app. I have a few issues with this situation: 1. Getting to a customer service representative (CS) is an entire process that requires a restart of your modem (as if you haven't already done that multiple times). Sternly saying "customer service" to your phone will get you nowhere even if you're calling about an existing problem. 2. The CS representatives I have encountered have been unfamiliar with technical terms, even something as simple as "ping". Asking for help from someone who knows little to nothing about networking is exceedingly frustrating. 3. If all devices are experiencing the same issue and it is an issue that has not happened previously, there's something wrong. It's unlikely to be "device specific". 4. There is no concrete way for a customer to know if there is something truly wrong unless it is specific to the router/modem per CS? 5. Is there not an alert email triggered when connectivity issues like this happen consistently for X number of days so customers can get assistance quickly? 6. This issue is happening all over my neighborhood, but there is no outage or issue with lines/CMTS according to Xfinity customer service reps and website. 7. A tech has already been out to my house to fix the issue once. Another one has to come back for the same issue, but this time I might be charged for it. Shouldn't they be offering me a credit at this point? Nope, that's not even NEAR the table. 8. Xfinity has incredibly limited capabilities within Admin tools, at least for the XB7 Gateway. This company is the worst of the worst. If you have multiple options in your area, please choose something else. The contract you sign with them is as fluid as water. They start you off low, but they consistently add "promotions" that vary in length and price reduction/inflation with no transparency to the customer. Mine went up by $12 with no explanation. I called in and asked about it and sure enough they waved a magic wand to bring my price back down because I was annoying enough to ask. Some people might think of that as good customer service, but my exit with them was just an absolute kick in the shins. The price change happened when I was 2 months away from moving and switching ISP's -- something I informed the customer service agent about. What they ended up doing was lowering my monthly bill for the last two months and sent me their stupid "flex box" (it's a poverty roku essentially). I had already returned that equipment once before, so it was really annoying to just get mailed random crap even though I wasn't paying for it. The worst part, however, was that because I enrolled in a new promotion, this instigated a new contract cycle unbeknownst to me. So I saved $25 or something for two months on the bill BUT then I was subject to their $117 early termination fee. There is no doubt in my mind that this was intentional by their customer service. Lastly, it really bugs me how unashamedly greedy they are. They always are trying to sell you on a better plan, or in my case adding in a mobile plan to my internet. Funnily, a sales rep asked me how much I paid for my monthly plan, to which I explained it was free to me since I was on my family's plan. HE PROCEEDED TO TRY AND SELL ME ON THE MOBILE PLAN!!! Really? You guys are going to pay me to go on your plan? Because that's the only possible better outcome than free I can think of. This company is completely uninterested in your wants and needs, and looks only to how they can mislead you into giving them more money. When running a communications company and receiving revenue from said business, its expected that the service would be consistent and reliable as it is for all utility companies. XFINITY signal continually is dropped and it is not our device it is the infrastructure. The signal is dropped 3 to 4 times each day. Every diagnostic done confirms the equipment is in good order. I work from home and was conducting a national webinar for 300 financial advisors when the signal was dropped cutting out the webinar. This little drop cost me approximately $12 million in revenues. I was informed early in October of 24 that Xfinity had a data breach and my personal information may have been compromised. When I tried to use my cell phone there was no service. I contacted Xfinity to find that someone, not me,had ported my phone over to AT &T without my permission. The hacker still has my phone number, which is used for two-factor authentication. There was an attempt to hack my personal bank account and m Visa card with Fidelity but both were blocked. But this person still has this phone number and I can't get into certain accounts because I can't authenticate without the phone. What a S..T storm and over twenty hours of work setting up all new bank accounts and investment accounts with Fidelity. What have I heard from Xfinity- nothing- no apology, no offer of Identity Theft Protection. I am working on divesting of all of my services with Comcast/Xfinity and I'd recommend you do the same or not consider Comcast/Xfinity as your service provider. read more

I recently had to switch from USI fiber to Xfinity when I moved to a new building. I new going in that Xfinity was pricey and they always sneak in extra charges, but it was the only option available. What I didn't expect was being lied to repeated, an extra 28.5% charge on my first bill, and not getting the proper equipment to even set it up when I picked up my self install kit. First thing, I picked up an install kit from a an Xfinity store and I have one TV and a cable modem. They didn't give me a splitter so I can actually set them both up at the same time. If I'm getting both cable and internet from your company, it should be kindergarten math to give me the one thing I need to use them both at the same time. So I had to drive all the way back to the store to get the proper gear. Next, knowing they love over charging, I watched my first bill like hawk. Sure enough, they tacked on $58 in extra charges. So I called and spent 2 hours convincing the 'customer service' rep that I only had one TV and the getting a splitter does mean I have the two tvs and boxes they tried to charge me for. Also that I hate DVR, never use it and would never have signed up for premium DVR on my actual TV nor on the fictitious TV they claimed I have. I got him to confirm my bill would be changed to the actual price I signed up for. Of course, that was a lie. Several days later my bill had not changed. Just to change up my frustration vehicles, I decided to try the Xfinity chat this time and spent a little over another hour convincing the chat person of everything I had talked to the phone person about--apparently they don't take notes for my file or they couldn't read or something. At the end of the chat, I asked for a transcript so that I have it in writing that both this month's bill and every bill going forward until the end of my promo package would be what I signed up for. He said that I could download a transcript after closing the chat. Another lie, there is no way to email or download a chat transcription after closing. So, I immediately opened another chat and spent nearly another hour convincing the next person of everything that I had said to the previous two. I did actually get her to paste a transcript of the chat in the window so I could copy it--the only positive outcome of what is now 4 hours of my life wasted. She stated multiple times that my current bill would be switched to what my package rate is, and that would be the same for all future bills but that it may take up to 3 days to show on the website (because apparently Xfinity has the slowest databases in the world and unlike every other online bill I pay they have to have mice manually run the changes and push the buttons to get things to update, or something). Of course, yet another lie. Those chat conversations happened on 5/20. It's now 6/5 and my bill is due 6/11 and still shows as $58 dollars above what it would be. Thankfully, I at least have it in writing that it should have been changed so that I can open a credit card dispute when the charge goes through. but the fact that I have to go through all that is ridiculous. i called comcast to solve a problem on my land line. The first call was disconnected when I replied no after repeatedly wanting to connect me to text. After the second no I was disconnected. I called back, the same thing happened and was disconnected. The third time I allowed it and a reboot was done and after 10 minutes i replied no to their text. Ten minutes later they called wanting to help with my internet. I had told them on the first 3 calls that it was my land line and none of this was necessary but you can't get to an agent. So I had to be transffurd and waited 10 minutes and finally talked to someone. They were not able to help and gave me a phone number to call for bulk accounts. After waiting again 10 minutes for them to answer and after about 15 minutes I was told this is wholesale so i had to call another number. They answered in a few minutes. After talking to them for 15 minutes they told me the previous number had to help me. The previous number than figured out how to help me. Finally he was running a system check and I was disconnected. The problem is still not solved after spending 1 hour and 45 minutes on the phone with this unbelievably unprofessional company. is it any wonder why millions are cancelling this company. I never take time out to write a review but today is the day - thank you to Xfinity. I have never experienced such horrible antagonistic customer service in all my life. I recently moved to a new apartment and needed wifi service while I waited for my new set-up to be mailed to me. I signed up for the Xfinity Wifi Now hotspot and paid for the service. Immediately, I tried to login to my devices to use the service per their instructions. You can only use 2 devices on it at a time, but none of my devices would connect to it. The system is garbage. I called customer service (both the Xfinity customer support line, the customer chat line, and the Xfinity Now wifi specific line). I wasted 3 hours of my day getting moved from agent to agent, department to department, and getting no service whatsoever. I would repeat my situation (just paid for xfinity NOW, here's my transaction ID, here's my email, here's my service address), and they would ask me to verify tons of information, then say "oh you're talking about the hotspot - that's a different dept" and transfer me. This happened again and again, until I heard agents laughing on the phone and realized they were literally leading me in a blind circle. They were patronizing, incredibly rude, and completely unhelpful. I will never ever be using any of their services again. My brother was scammed by them last year when they charged him for additional services and refused to stop the service when he completed a cancellation request. Extremely poor customer service and organization from the start. It took two days and multiple trips to the store to get our account set up and phones purchased. We received conflicting information from the phone support team and the store staff. Our internet would drop at random times and when we decided on fiber optic, we needed to switch our phone services. They did the hard sell trying to make it difficult for us to leave, and would not unlock my phone (purchased in cash, two years ago at a Xfinity store). I called several times a day for the first few days. On day 3 and I was on hold for 2 hours and 16 minutes to speak to a supervisor before I finally gave up. I called for 8 days straight and they keep assuring me, "rest assured, your phone will be on by 2pm tomorrow," "rest assured, your phone will be on by 6pm," "rest assured, your phone will be on within 24 hours,". I bought internet with Xfinity about a week ago and picked up my equipment. A tech was supposed to come to my apartment today at 4:45pm-5pm. I get a call from the tech he will be there shortly around 3:30. I live alone; there is no one available to let him in since I work 30 mins away. The man I scheduled the appointment with gave me a GUARANTEE that the tech window is from 3-5pm but will write a note for the tech to not arrive until after 4:45pm. The CS people said that there is nothing they can do and that there latest appointment is 3-5pm and they cannot know when someone will get there and basically have to keep scheduling and cancelling until someone can get there at 5pm.
