First, the price is lower for what you get and you are locked in for at least 2 years so no raising rates every 3-6 months. Second, I thought the learning curve to use a new system/remote would suck. Ahhh this system couldn't be easier. ALL of the remote buttons are clearly labeled so you know what they do & no extra buttons. You only need 1 remote to work each tv not 2 or 3! We can record & have DVR capability on all 4 tvs, 250 channel package + showtime for $117 a month. We had NO recording capabilities, no DVR & only able to access on demand from 1 tv with Comcast for $189 a month. The Comcast remote was junk & had so many buttons we never ever used & took a week to figure out. The picture quality is SO much better with dish. My biggest worry was would I lose reception in bad weather. Not an issue because yes you can lose reception in bad weather but guess what...I know if weather is bad & I can set to record a show if I don't want to miss part of it and I can do this remotely if I need to from anywhere I am. So far every issue I had concerns about have been no worries!

There was no phone interview. Against my better judgement, I decided to give them a chance and go in for the interview. When I arrived, I was greeted by the office manager. While she is a kind individual, she is clearly inexperienced. The office manager does not know what she is doing and doesn't understand basic hiring best practices and I assume that is because of leadership. I was informed that the owner was on a call which was going to run late and he was not able to meet with me and she was going to handle my "interview" if you could call it that. I was told the owner was interested in me handling a management position which would include building out their processes as they have yet to do so and holding their sales team accountable to numbers. I asked various questions (what the growth plan was, how many more people they were looking to hire, what kind of budgets did they have) she did not know the answers to and simply deferred to the owner "knowing" the answers to these questions which I doubt he does. I don't get the feeling there is much planning at this business. She also made disparaging remarks about her team mates and gave me the impression these come from management. The overall feel was appointment setters don't believe there is urgency in their sales numbers and had a dull approach to their job. While we were going through this, another individual showed up for an interview (for another position) and she essentially invited this person to sit in on my interview and wait for her to finish. She awkwardly sat next to me for the rest of the time. The office manager went to ask a question to the owner. While she was doing so, the other interviewee shared our doubts about the legitimacy of this organization. Alas, the interview ended and I was told I would receive a call tomorrow. I decided to reach out the next day as I didn't think they were organized enough to properly follow up and I wanted to share my insights with the owner. Once on the phone and after introductions she put me on hold to speak to the owner. When she came back she informed me that the owner and another individual talked and decided I was "too high" for the position. I think she meant overqualified. I have a feeling that the person the owner spoke to was likely intimidated by my experience and swayed him away from me because they clearly need a high caliber person to come in and fix this hot mess of a business (even if it isn't me). Overall, their disorganization wasted my time but now I have a great story to laugh at with my friends, which I will be doing a lot. Until leadership gets their act together, I simply wouldn't work here and find a more established place to work.

These people (Joe) farmed me off to a company called Geosync Communications (Sam) and I was told he was supposed to bring me out a new modem. He actually showed up once but not with a modem. Do not use either of these companies and because of this I can not recommend Northland Connect either.

This never went anywhere. Back to the internet service, we constantly get kicked out of zoom meetings, our tvs never work smoothly, our phones only use data because the wifi is so bad, and our computers are slow. We had someone come out a few months ago, they were here for two hours and the internet was still horrible. Never never never go through consolidated communications.
