MY REVIEW HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE IN STORE LOCATIONS!! I had signed up for Comcast Wifi/Internet back in the end of February, til this day I have been told "my application is approved" "your application is still pending" "call back in 3-5days" "your equipment should be there in 5days" "it's still pending sorry" "your equipment is out for delivery" I have been up and down with them for almost 3 and a half months already JUST TO GET MY APPLICATION APPROVED AND GET MY EQUIPMENT! And the only reason why I have been doing this for so long is because after a month it seemed pointless to put all the time I have put in just to "cancel", plus I'm always busy so I don't see the days passing. Today , I call Comcast customer service AGAIN (after someone told me my equipment should be here in 3-5business days and to call back after 3-5days) so I call and he tells me the same bullshit I heard before my equipment was supposedly "sent out" "my application is still pending" I went off on him. I canceled my service .I've got nothing but the round about with this company. I can't not stand them, if I could give no stars I would ! They are the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with! I visited this location to ask for further assistance on my bill. I was told to call a customer service number. I asked why they couldn't help me and they said it's best to call our customer service in regards to your billing. My goal coming in was to get face to face service because I've called before, been on hold and had dropped calls with getting nothing accoplished multiple times. The only thing that is saving me, my internet, and mine and Comcast's relationship is one individual's dedication and efforts at this location, Elisa. She is sweet through the darkest of customer service moments when I know although it is out of her control will perform above and beyond most people's expectations of this company. Comcast phone clerks could really learn something from an employee like her. **Also I would, could, recommend more seating in the building, even benches along the perimeter. Xfinity and I are getting off to a bad start. Called them this last Tuesday to get services set up for the new house. They wouldn't be able to get out here until next week, but come to the store, pick up everything you need, and you can set it up yourself. Tried that last night after we got into Fresno. After spending more than an hour on the phone with them, they now think that the service to the house must have been shut off and they can get someone out here this coming THURSDAY. Re-posting my original review, since the original store was "Closed". What exactly does that mean? xFinity/ComCast is still in business. I used to live in Fresno and was a Comcast internet customer for two years. Perfect credit, never late with a payment. I recently moved back into the area for 3-6 months, so AT&T was not an option for internet service (minimum 1 year contract). Tried to access my old online account. No access. Tried to set up a new account online. Website would not allow me to start service at my new address - I had to call the customer service number. Called the customer service number and the phone representative couldn't access my old account. He requested permission to run a credit check and did so. He then told me that the address for which I was requesting service was "locked". I had to take my new lease to a retail store to open an account. I pressed the representative to get a further explanation. I was reluctantly told that either the previous tenant never closed the account or there was a past due amount. Went to the retail store on East Kings Canyon. Absolutely packed - ridiculous wait (see separate review). Came to the Via La Plata store and spoke with Chris, who scanned an original copy of my new lease. I was told that the manager was the only person who could "unlock" the address and he wouldn't be back in the store until later in the afternoon. They would get in touch with me. I received a call from Chris at 5:15PM. The manager wouldn't "unlock" the address because the Comcast scanner had not made a clear copy. I was asked to come down to the store again with my lease. I replied that I could leave in 30 minutes and inquired how late the store was open. I was informed that the store was open until 7:00PM and Chris confirmed that he would be there until store closing. I arrived at the store at 6:10PM and waited 25 minutes for Chris. The store manager had left at 6:00PM. Chris asked why it took so long to come in. I left a clear photocopy of the lease with Chris and he scanned the MAC number on my cable modem, so I wouldn't need to come back. Chris committed to calling me the next morning to complete the sign-up process. At 2:30PM the next day, I called Comcast and spoke with Heather. She confirms that there is no longer a "lock" on my address. The system shows no further progress on opening my account. Heather offers to start the process from scratch. I struggle to remain civil, but work through the start-up process. Since I'm self-installing, I insist that Comcast waive any installation charges to make up for all the trouble. She gives me my account number and a tech support number in case I run into problems. 30 minutes later, my cable modem is communicating, but Comcast's online access system doesn't recognize my new account number. 15 minutes on the phone with tech support in the Philippines to get the system to communicate. I feel sorry for the tech support gal - she's only working within the constraints of Comcast - but I'm really pissed at this point. No explanation why the system didn't work or what she did to make it work, but at least I'm online. In the past, I've had Cox Communication, Bright House Networks, Time-Warner and Charter Communications. I've had minor issues with Time-Warner and Bright House, but nothing like this. From beginning to end, absolutely zero effort at customer service. Update 12/23/2015: I was given a written quote for Streampix (xfinity's video streaming service) for an additional five dollars a month over the base price of internet service. I didn't request the Streampix service - it was offered to me at the Via La Plata store. A week after start-up, I tried to access Streampix and realized that Comcast never started the service. Called customer service and, after a bit of research, they stated that the offer was based on a 1 year contract (I specifically addressed this at the Via La Plata store) and Comcast won't honor the quote for Streampix. However, I'm still paying five dollars more than I was quoted for basic internet, but Comcast refuses to honor that price either. Talk about lack of integrity. I never thought I'd recommend this, but if you're new to the area, please, please, please go with AT&T U-verse. AT&T may have their issues, but Comcast is just plain terrible. read more

I have been trying to contact this company for an hour and a half to try to find out why my TV has been going blank off and on for the last several weeks while watching the local news. I have spent 5 minutes on several attempts to get a live person before leaving my number to be called back within a few minutes. it has now been over one and one half hours with no response. I am willing to pay more to have a cable service that provides "service". This company is not interested in their customers, only their profits. Tired of the Comcast crooks. Their customer service is one of a scared child afraid to speak with an adult to solve a problem but it's not actually what's happening. The intent is to avoid human interaction by claiming technology is so complicated but it's actually customer service. It will remain as is because no resolve will be made. Fresno has a VERY long history of coming up with excuses to not providing better service that has been said to provide. Then to add to all of it, the algorithm of the computer based software AI is designed to keep you from talking to customer service. While the President distracts the crooks win. I went in to get a different modem. I currently have an Arris modem which doesn't communicate well with Xbox. Both Comcast and Xbox's website verify that those don't work well together. I decided to upgrade my cable service to the X1 platform. What a huge mistake!!!! Although we really like the DVR and other features, the trouble we went through to get the correct (and working equipment) and the subsequent billing errors have turned what should have been an easy transition (since we were existing customer) into a nightmare. After numerous calls to customer service over equipment issues and now errors on our billing I have found that customer service is non existent. Replaced it easily with their service tech visit, but it doesn't work correctly. Horrible, horrible service. My elderly mother has been taken advantage of by Comcast and the local companies they outsource their work to. When a TV in one room wouldn't work, they tried to convince her that she needed her whole house system re-wired, when it ended up just being a single faulty box that needed to be replaced (which my mother figured out ON HER OWN after the service men were so rude to her she told them to leave). She has called numerous times and told someone will call her back and they never do, so she has to call again. The service company did not show up for the first appointment time they made, which cost my mother an afternoon at work. The second appointment time they showed up and hour late, and as mentioned, the workers were so rude to her that after a while she couldn't take it any longer and told them to leave. Terrible company with zero customer service skills. Comcast costs WAY too much for the lousy service you receive. (Oh, and their website is terrible, too. I had a great experience here. I did forget the gentlemans name, but he was great all I did was ask him a question and tell him this is what I wanted and he very promptly handled the situation. I ended up walking out of there an even happy xfinity customer than before. The wait time wasn't bad because you have an option to let them text you when you'll be called soon, so my fiancé and I just walked over to Subway for lunch. By the time we were done eating I got the text! Again very great service here. read more
