I paid for and booked an appointment for someone to come to my home. They sent me the name of the technician who was scheduled. They requested pictures of the location of the doorbell install. I sent two photos. They wanted more photos. The tech never showed and hours after the scheduled appointment I received two different emails with two different excuses why nobody showed up. One suggestion. On the chat capabilities, they sent a schedule of availabilities with a scheduling option that doesn't seem to record any of your location information. This was where problem was, I got a confirmed appointment for the date and time I requested on the chat, but when the day came for my appointment, no one came. I then called them directly to see what was the problem. My phone rep., Michelle, assisted me through the whole ordeal. I learned that in order to have a legitimate reservation/confirmation, an email/text should have been sent out. I didn't get either. So as I stated earlier in this entry, fix/repair the communication with the Yelp messaging, as scheduling should not be sent via chat if they aren't properly confirming them. I won't give a rating on that simply because as a tech myself, there are many glitches that can happen. What matters is how things are corrected from there support-wise. Michelle was extremely thorough with her information and she helped me understand that technically, I didn't get a real confirmation at all. There was a misunderstanding with how appointments are processed and confirmed Though I was bummed, she helped me schedule the project for the very next morning at the earliest availability they had. She was very kind, and helpful. Thank you for your assistance, Michelle! My on site technician, Alfred L. arrived on time and went straight to work. He troubleshooted every possible connection until we learned the system did not allow for an actual digital connection. Finally, he tried one more way and was able to draw audio from my TV to my surrounds! I was very happy to finally be able to use my system again. I've had problems trying to get it to work since I replaced my TV and cable box. Alfred was speedy, professional and very helpful. He had great work ethic. I purchased a service from Hello Tech for my Dad for Father's Day, I requested that they assist with connectivity issues. The service date and time were confirmed a month in advance. The tech contacted us the night before to discuss the concerns with our connectivity . The appointment time was confirmed and the tech did not show. An hour after the confirmed time I go to the website where I am told there is no record of my order via their online portal. I chat with a customer service rep who "apologizes" for the inconvenience and asks to reschedule to another date/time. As I took time off work for this, I ask for the service to be made today. I'm assured that we will hear in 1/2 hour to confirm appointment time. No return call or text and no confirmation from technician. Nobody ever showed .Hello Tech is unreliable, unprofessional and significantly lacks in customer service. read more

your company is engaged in fraud. my bank account was debted $540.20 once at the beginning of January 2022 and again today January 24, 2022 for $520.00 and I dont know who you are or what you do as I never heard of you. I just had Alfred (Freddie) mount my 75" TV to drywall. I made the appointment this morning online and he was able to provide same day service. Alfred did an outstanding job. The mount is beautiful with no wires and no damage to the wall. He is clean, friendly and professional. I'm so happy I with the service I received. Its true the appointment process is conducted completely online. The price was the same as what Best Buy quoted but Best Buy could not get me scheduled for 2+ weeks out. Our technician, Andrew was able to get the installation done an hour earlier than the original appointment. He was very professional and polite. SCAMMED. I would give them zero stars if I could. The first time the Technician came out to install a Smart door lock. He sped through the install and it took him 10 minutes. He left before I could test it and of course it didn't work. HelloTech sent the same useless technician out for a second time to fix it. He took about twenty minutes this time, tested the lock with the key in it to demonstrate it was operational and left. As soon as I removed the key it didn't work and the installer was gone. I called the manufacturer to find the fix and reported it to HelloTech but they haven't respond to my calls or request to have the lock installed correctly. A representative submitted a new order and charged my credit card AGAIN but I canceled as soon as I saw the charge. I'd like to get the service that I paid for. If HelloTech is incapable of installing the smart lock, please refund my initial amount so I can find a locksmith that actually is has the skills to perform the job. read more

Michael was a nice guy but he was not familiar with the abode home products at all, incorrectly installed a slim line door sensor, didn't set up the hubs properly, didn't set up the cameras properly, and didn't know that the cameras seem to need to be attached to a power source to work, he also left attached one camera off centered, left all the boxes and trash all over the house, left some plugs in the wall attached to no devices and didn't complete the job. Dan the person who I spoke with who found Michael told me it would take about one hour to install and Michael spent about four hours causing us to be late for a dinner party. I originally requested a morning slot but agreed to the afternoon slot because dan said it would take one hour. This was not a good experience at all and would not recommend hello tech to anyone and feel this was money wasted as I now need to return several products and hire someone else to finish the job. I would like to request a refund and will also be letting abode home know that hello tech is not making their customer experience a pleasant one. read more

Found these guys on the internet to mount TV, hook up speakers and stereo. They work from So Cal and find local techs to do the work. I now live in Clovis, CA. Thought I would go with them instead of Geek Squad since they were a little less in price. First of all requests for work is done by text, impossible to actually speak to a person, they do not call back if you leave a call back number. I confirmed the work I wanted done with the person I was texting with, actually confirmed twice. Well the tech they sent out had no idea about the additional work, said he could not do the work without an additional work order, he left without even mounting the TV. I got a hold of a representative told him the situation and he said another work order would be written up with all the work I wanted done. Well again the 2nd tech had no clue about the additional work. I told the tech forget it. We will pay the extra and actually get the work done that we want. I would think twice about attempting to have these people do work. read more
